Liora was seated inside a carriage, along with her new mentor, Mark Veils. Her maid Mira had prepared a carriage for them, and it was taking them to the Bolorius guild.
During the ride inside the carriage, Mark had tried to engage in light conversation with Liora, but she kept her responses short, and answered vaguely. After a few minutes of conversation, the carriage went silent, only interrupted by the faint sounds of people talking and the wheels of the carriage outside.
Liora looked outside her window with a bit of an excited expression, this was the first time she had left the mansion grounds, without sneaking out of course.
Her eyes were mostly drawn to the adventurers outside, revelling in the sight of them, as she would soon be one of them.
Liora saw the tall and grand building of the Bolorius guild come into view, adorned with many banners that proudly held up their symbol. The guild was constructed with fine materials, mostly consisting of smooth cobblestone and tall support wooden beams.
Once they arrived, the carriage pulled to a stop and the man riding the carriage jumped down from their seat and opened the door for Liora and Mark. "We have arrived, your grace." The man said as he stepped aside for her to exit.
Liora gracefully stepped out of the carriage, dressed nicely in her training uniform that she had uses for her training with Gena. Mark also dropped down from the carriage and bid the man farewell, before the carriage took off.
Liora's eyes widened as they sparkled with joy and shock, coming in and out of the guild were many people of different sizes, different races and different occupations.
What drew her most were the people with cat ears on their heads, and they also possessed human ears, along with tails attached above their waists. These people were known as Fox-Kin, due to their very similar appearances to fox and human features.
"Hehe, aren't you the excited one?" Mark mused with a small grin, but Liora scoffed, choosing to ignore his comment.
"Come on, let's just go already." Liora said as she took the lead and walked on forward, moving excitedly with hurried steps.
Mark rolled his eyes and followed closely behind her, as they entered the guild building, Liora's eyes widened as she took in the grand interior of the building. The room they were in was very spacious and grand, adorned with fancy decorations.
There was a long line of people queuing up, some were adults looking for new quests to take, and others were as young as Liora, probably registering or were experienced adventurers.
As soon as the people laid their eyes on Liora, many whispers broke out about her as people eyed her suspiciously. The news of her trying to escape the capital were a big discussion topic for many people, as it only made her look bad.
Mark looked over at Liora who's expression remained unfazed, she didn't care what people thought of her, all she cared about was getting stronger and eventually reuniting with Cain.
"Ignore them." Mark said to her in a low voice, trying to lighten up the mood.
"I don't need you to tell me that." Liora replied as she walked over and cut through the line of people, not caring about what their business. Many grunts and ill responses came from the adventurers she began cutting through, not even daring to apologize.
"Hey!" One of the adventurers yelled, it was a burly man with a grey beard and a huge axe attached to his back. His face was flushed and the stront scent of alcohol eminated from his breath, suggesting that he was drunk.
He forcefully tried to grab Liora's shoulder, but Mark quickly stepped in and grabbed his wrist, staring at the man with a murderous expression, "I don't think you wanna do that pal." Mark advised tightening his grip on the man's wrist, before letting him go.
"Not cool, Mark." An adventurer shouted from a table in the distance.
"Sorry, but I was asked to mentor the Rohart family's daughter. And since she's my student now, I'm not going to let anybody hurt her." Mark said as he walked up to the receptionist lady.
The receptionist was a fox-kin lady, with bright orange hair and eyes, making her a beautiful woman in many's eyes. Most adventurers would come to the reception desk just to flirt with her, but she would always turn them down, regardless of their rank.
"Greetings." Mark said warmly at the receptionist, flashing her a faint smile as he leaned his arm over the desk. "I've come to register Liora here as a Beast Tamer."
"Ah, i see. Right away sir, give me a moment." The receptionist said as she pulled open her drawer and grabbed a registration paper for Liora to sign, before handing it to her.
Liora grabbed the paper and filled in the form, before handing it back to her. Most of the spaces in the paper required for her name, age, occupation, and Tier of her magical attribute, which she wrote down as Low-Tier Beast Taming magic.
"Alright, this is good. Now as usual with our guild policies, you will start at F-Rank, and would slowly have to rise to the top by completing quests. As an F-Rank, you will only have access to F and E rank quests. And to get access to higher ranked quests, you will have to complete a rank advancement quest, that is all."
The receptionist explained.
"Wait here a moment, I'm going to go and prepare your guild card, please head to a nearby table and wait for a moment." The receptionist said, walking to the back of the guild with the registration paper in hand.
Liora walked over to a nearby table in the corner of the room and sat down on it, looking around the guild as she waited.
Mark walked up to her, taking a seat infront of her. "Now that you're going to be registered as an adventurer, you'll officially have access to dungeons and the many hunting areas of adventurers." Mark said with a smile.
"Hey Mark." Liora called suddenly.
"Yes, young mistress?" Mark asked.
"I'm hungry."
