Chapter 17 - CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Flying first class was a dream come true. Everything was so luxurious and comfortable.

The seats were bigger and wider than normal, and the flight attendants were friendly and accommodating.

I was served drinks and meals and watched a movie.

It was a great distraction.

Especially, after the fight I had with Marge.

I was pissed.

She had no right to talk to me like that….

No right to read my diary….

And definitely no right to judge me.

She wasn't the one who had to live my life.

And, if I wanted to be pathetic, that was my choice.

But, deep down inside, I knew she was right.

I was always dwelling on my problems and issues, that I never appreciated the opportunities I had.

Opportunities, such as flying to Las Vegas, in style, to dance for a bunch of rich men, who would pay me $100,000 dollars.

How could I have gotten so lucky?

"Would you like another drink, Miss?" A stewardess interrupted my thoughts.

"No. Thank you." I replied.

I had enough alcohol to make me dizzy. All I wanted to do was cry.

Marge was my best friend. I hated that we were fighting.

"Please be seated and fasten your seatbelts. We will be landing in Las Vegas shortly. Please, return all seats and tables to their upright positions and prepare for landing." The captain announced.

I turned my attention to the window and saw the beautiful Las Vegas Strip, coming into view.

It was a sight to see.

The bright lights, the casinos, the hotels, and the people.

The plane circled around a few times before landing safely on the runway.

"Welcome to Las Vegas."

As I made my way through the airport, I felt the heat.

It was hot and dry.

It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon, but, it felt like 8 o'clock at night.

The sun was beating down hard, and, in a matter of seconds, I had sweat stains under my armpits.

According to the weather app on my phone, it was a scorching 102 degrees.

The humidity was low, which made it bearable.

Still, the heat was too much.

"Miss Raven." A man approached me. He was wearing a three piece suit, and sunglasses.

I stared at him, and he smiled.

"Sorry. My name is William. I was sent by my boss to pick you up and bring you to the hotel." The man said.

"Oh, ok." I replied.

"Please follow me. My car is parked nearby." He said to me.

We walked out of the airport and to a parking lot.

There, he opened the door to a white Rolls Royce Phantom.

My jaw dropped.

The car was absolutely stunning.

"Get in, Miss." He gestured.

I nodded and took a seat in the back.

He placed my luggage in the trunk and got in the driver's seat.

I was still trying to wrap my head around what was happening, when he started the engine.

"So, is this your first time in Las Vegas, Miss Raven?" He asked.

"Umm. Yes." I nodded.

"You're in for a treat. Las Vegas is an amazing city. Very glamorous. Lots of things to see and do. If you ever need anything, just let me know." He spoke.

"Thank you." I smiled at him.

The rest of the car ride was silent.

The traffic was insane.

But, William, drove swiftly and calmly.

"We are here, Miss." He finally announced, as we pulled into a hotel.

"Wow." I stared out the window in awe.

Grand Luxe Hotel & Casino.

It was a massive 32 story hotel, located on the famous Las Vegas Strip.

I had read about this hotel. It was one of the biggest hotels in the world.

They had a luxury casino, 4 restaurants, 2 pools, 5 bars, and 1000 guest rooms, including 50 suites.

"This is gorgeous." I said as a valet helped me out of the car.

"Welcome, Miss Raven." The valet said.

I gave him a warm smile as I waited for Willams to hand over the keys and retrieve my luggage.

"If you follow me, I will escort you to your room." William said.

We made our way inside, and the reception was just as grand.

There were marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and a water feature, that flowed through the lobby. A magnificent piano was in the center, being played by a man, wearing a black suit and tie.

I found it hard to believe that this was just a hotel.

It looked more like a royal palace.

"Here we are, Miss." William stopped in front of an elevator.

He took out a key and pressed it against the electronic panel.

"My boss booked the presidential suite for you." He stated.

"The presidential suite?" My eyes widened in shock.

"Yes." He nodded.

The doors opened and he entered a code.

"This elevator will take you directly to the suite, where you will reside for the rest of stay in Vegas." He said.

"Ok. Thanks." I replied.

"Enjoy your stay, Miss Raven."

He handed me the key and shook my hand.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"Oh…" He handed me a card. "If you need anything. Anything at all do not hesitate to call. I will act as your personal butler, during your stay. My number is on the card. I will be at your service 24 hours a day."

"I will keep that in mind." I collected the card and nodded.

"Thank you Mr. Williams."

"Williams, Miss. Just Williams. Have a good day, Miss Raven." He told me.

"Ok. Williams." I nodded.

I got into the elevator and took one last look at the luxurious lobby before the doors closed.

**********************************

The elevator ride was long and silent. The only sound was the gentle humming of the lift.

I was excited to see the suite.

From what I had seen and read about the hotel, I knew it was going to be lavish and grand.

When the doors opened, I was in awe.

The suite was stunning.

It was huge.

Massive.

The whole place was lavishly decorated. Floor-to-ceiling windows that have a spectacular view of Las Vegas, bright luminous lights, crystal chandeliers and expensive artwork.

The living room had a fireplace, a dining table, a piano, and a fully-equipped bar.

There were 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

One was the master bedroom, with a walk-in closet and an en-suite.

"This is fucking crazy." I said to myself.

The bathroom was massive.

There was a big round bathtub in the center and a shower.

Everything was covered in marble, and gold.

It looked like something straight out of a movie.

Was I going to be the only one staying here?

I checked the other rooms and they were equally as nice.

All 5 had queen-sized beds, and flat-screen televisions.

I couldn't believe my luck.

Whoever paid for the room had to be rich….

Like ridiculously rich.…

After, exploring the rooms, I took a bath.

I was covered in sweat and grime, and desperately needed to freshen up.

As I soaked in the tub, I thought about Marge.

Even though, I kind of wanted to murder her for reading my diary, I couldn't stop thinking about her.

I was angry .. Yes.

But she was my best friend. And I wanted to talk to someone about everything that had happened.

"Ugh." I groaned, and dunked my head under the water.

I sat in the bathtub, and stared up at the ceiling.

I took my phone and scrolled through the numbers, before finally deciding to call her on face-time.

She was the only person I could talk to.

The phone rang, and, for a moment, I thought she wasn't going to answer.

"Hello." She said, as her face popped up on the screen.

"Hey, Marge." I greeted.

"Zoe. Hey. How was your flight?" She asked.

"Good. Umm. Where are you?"

"I'm at home. Penelope and Victoria are back from school. I cooked them dinner and I will be heading out to the club soon." She told me.

"Ok." I nodded.

There was an awkward amount of silence on both end and I was contemplating whether I should hang up or not.

"Look. About earlier. I'm sorry. I didn't mean the things I said." I said.

"Me neither." Marge replied. "I just worry about you, Zoe. I'm sorry if I was a bit harsh."

"No. It's fine. You were right. I am always complaining." I said to her.

"That's not true. You've had a really tough time lately. So, if anyone has the right to complain, it's you. I shouldn't invalidate your feelings, just because, mine are a little hurt. I'm sorry. Friends?" She asked.

"Friends." I answered.

"I missed you, Marge." I yelled out.

"Me too. But, I'm sure you're having a great time. Where are you now? That place looks fancy." She exclaimed.

"Well… I'm in the bathtub. But let me put on a robe and give you a tour of my suite." I told her.

"What?" She squealed. "You're staying in a suite."

"Yes. And not just any suite. The presidential suite." I stated.

"Oh. My. Gosh! Zoe. Let me see. Let me see." She screamed.

I put on a robe, and took my phone, and began to show her around the place.

"It's huge. It has 5 bedrooms, and a dining room, a living room, a bar, a balcony, and a view of the city."

"Damn, girl! I've been to private events before, but this is insane. Are you staying with anyone?" She asked

"No. I'm the only one here."

"What? This place must have cost a fortune." I could see the shock in Marge face as she spoke.

"Right. And it is absolutely amazing." I nodded.

"Have you met the billionaires yet. Do you know what the party is about?" She asked.

"No. Not yet. But… I saw a letter on the desk. Hold on. Let me go get it." I told her.

I grabbed the letter, and went back to the living room.

"Here." I said, tearing it open and reading it.

"Wow!!" Marge yelled from the other end. "Do you know who X is?" She asked.

"No. I have no idea." I shook my head.

"That's crazy. I've done a bachelor's party once. Nothing like this. It was a night but we were staying at a Motel. And, the guy had a budget of $2000." She told me.

"Seriously?"

"Yea. Bachelor's party aren't that big of a deal. But this… This is different." She said in amazement.

"Any tips?" I asked Marge.

"Ummm… Make the future groom happy, I guess. That's the major objective." She replied.

"Right. I will do my best." I nodded again.

"I have no doubt. I can't wait to hear all about it. I wish I was there."

"I wish you were too, Marge. But, it's ok. Maybe when I get back we can plan a vacation." I cried.

"Yea. Ok. Well, I have to get ready. You should too. Sounds like you have a busy night ahead. Wear the sexy red lingerie set we bought, with the lace garter and the thigh-highs." She advised.

"Why? What's wrong with my normal underwear?" I questioned.

"Nothing. But, if the men are paying $100,000, then they deserve a special show. Something sexy and extra. Something, that will make them want to see more." She explained.

"You think they're going to ask me to take off my clothes?" I asked, nervously.

"Zoe, it's a striptease, not a pole dance. You are supposed to seduce and tease. If possible you might find yourself taking off every single thing. Or at least, that's what happened when I was at the bachelor's party." She shrugged.

"But…." I tried to speak but Marge interrupted me.

"No buts, Zoe. They won't fuck you if that's what you're worried about…. Except you want them to?" She asked.

"No." I shook my head.

"Then, you're safe. Don't worry." She reassured me.

"Ok. Thanks."

"Sure. Now, go get ready. I love you. Be careful. Have fun. And don't do anything I wouldn't do. " Marge waved at me from the phone.

"Hahaha. Love you too, Marge. Bye."

I hung up, and went back to the bathroom.

It was time to get ready for the party.
