Chapter 37 - [37] LV 50...Now what?

A month has passed since I started the game, and here we are, 4 humans and an AI. In a dark gloomy video game forest, taking on a mob of angry giant spiders."Riga! Your left!" Enju called out.I whipped my head around, only to find Enju jinx it, as a giant spider leaped right from it's tree, and descended upon my face.SHIITTTT!!!-Even though this was a game, you can tell I wasn't to hyped about being tackled by a spider the same size as me. Instinctively, I shut my eyes and embraced for the worst what 8 hairy legs could do to me...But all I got was the sharp sound of a sword whistling through the air. And when I opened my eyes again, I found the spider lying in front of me, perfectly split in half down the centre."Sorry, I missed one." Eziel said, as he flicked away the green goo from his blade."No, no, I should be the one saying thanks." I scratched my head with one hand, and managed a small smile."Looks like that's all the monsters." Eziel hefted his blade against his shoulder."Indeed." Piphra said, as she picked up a spider web from a ground. The moment her hand touched the object, it disappeared into her inventory, but it looks as if the object disappeared from existence entirely. "I have collected enough spider webs. Let us take leave now, before they respawn again." Piprha said emotionlessly, as she turned and began to leave the site. With a quick silent exchange, the rest of took the cue and followed.***"Ah..." Enju said, as she slumped her face against the tavern table: "I'm not going back to there again! NEVER!" Enju kicked and squired with her face buried in her arms."It's fine, we won't do it again. I promise!" Sioux said, as she slipped a hug around Enju."Let go of me-" Enju said, as she tried to break away from Sioux, "I hate you!""I am afraid that's impossible." Sioux smiled, as she rugged her cheek against Enju's. "Because, I love Enju-jiang!"As the two fought back and forth, my lips couldn't help but turn into a thin line."By the way, I just saw you level up." Eziel turned and said to me."Really?" I opened my menu and surely enough, it says I was level 50 in the party stats.Level 50..."Everyone! Riga is level 50!" Eziel announced over the table. The two seized fighting, as everyone at the table, paused and stared at me."Uhh..."What do I do now?I looked around frantically, and so far I managed to achieve nothing, aside from looking like a nervous wreck. "You need to relax man." Eziel said, as he set a hand on my shoulder. "It's time for you to choose your final class. Now go see your options man.""Oh...ok..." I gulped, as my fingers trembled when I tapped the menu. And sure enough, when I pressed the skill tab, several icons appeared on my screen, and each with a name engraved beneath it. "Tell me your options man, that way we can give you some advice on it." Eziel said."Oh, ok...so I got, high-priest, pharmacist, plague doctor, blood priest and medic..." my voice trailed off."Hmm..." Eziel tapped his shoulder. "Out of all those classes, which one do you think sounds best?""Umm...Blood priest?"There was a pause at the table, and it appears that everyone was lost. And after what felt like 7000 years, I decided to break the silence:"Uhh...is there something wrong about the class?""Not really. It's just extremely few people pick this class." Eziel said."I never even heard of this class before!" Sioux commented."Why?" I asked curiously."I never played it myself. But from what I heard online, the class is extremely difficult, and its stats are completely under powered." Eziel rubbed his elbow."Then I should..." "Wait." Piphra cut me off. "We already have 2 healers on our team. We need a damage dealer. And from what I seen about the class, it's the most damage relative class he can choose. Also..."We all leaned forward to what Piphra had to say:"I want to see a real blood priest."Silenced hanged above the table. Then after what felt like an eternity, Eziel spoke up:"Let me him decide what he wants. Don't think about what the team needs, just think of what you want."I looked down. What I want..."I made up my mind." I clenched my fists at my side."I will choose blood priest.""Are you sure man?" Eziel raised a brow."Yeah, I am gonna go for a try. Plus, you all said previously that final classes can still be changed later on.""Alright, then do it man." Eziel nodded in confirm, as did the rest of the table.Hphmmm...I let out a deep breath, then giving myself no room to hesitate, I pressed the [Blood Priest] icon and then confirm. A moment later, there was a gasp around the table."What? What's happening?"Everyone seemed to be wearing a face of shock, all except for Piphra who produced a mirror out of nowhere and passed it to me. And when I looked it into myself, a gasp escaped from me.My body parts and clothes all remained the same, all except for my hair. Which was now stark white. And no, this isn't Tokyo Ghoul.Q: Have you watched Tokyo Ghoul before? If you did, what was your favourite scene?
