Chapter 42 - [42] Team strategy...None

"Piphra bone cage! I will cut in from right flank, Sioux keep up the healing!" Eziel yelled as he made a mad dash towards the dragon."Wait! What about me!" I asked, with my entire world still spinning. But by then it was already too late, as Eziel was already half way to the dragon, with his sword slicing the air like a madman. And In response to Eziel suicidal dash, the dragon's body massive pipe like head began to glow in the shade of red hot embers. "EZI-" A searing cone of fire blasted out across the room, muffling out my voice. Followed by a wave of charred smoke drowning out the rest of the room.Holy shit-I coughed as I frantically swatted away the smoke in front of me, but it was just too much. And it was no surprise, that I suspected Eziel to become human barbecue or such. The fire...there is just no way how one could survive that...And out from the smoke and ashes, came the sound of steel clashing and swords whistling through the air. As another fire lit up from within the smoke, I managed to catch a rare glimpse of a small hazy figure, darting faster then my eye could catch between the bodies of it's much larger counter the part; the fire breathing pipe. As the smoke began to clear a bit, the first thing I did was rush to the dragon, since I wasn't giving any other clear instructions. "RIGA! STAY BACK!" Eziel shouted from the smoke, but before I could even fully register the sentence. A giant pipe like head, that was the dragon, parted through the smoke and went straight for me. My feet were rooted in fear, as the great jaws of the beast dawned upon me. In the split second I thought I was going to chill out in the game over screen again. A brilliant arc of silver came down upon the dragon's eye...Eckkkkkk!!!The dragon let out a feral roar in pain, and for a moment even I felt sorry for it. And as the dragon thrashed around wildly, trying to shake off Eziel, a dozen giant icicles slammed it into it's side, followed by a giant rib cage sprouting from the ground around him and caging him in. "Cursed underlings and your filthy tricks!" The dragon's voice bellowed with rage, as it struggled under it's restraints."That's where you are wrong!" Enju's voice came from somewhere in the room. "Humans can grow! HAIL STORM!"Kind of ironic considering the fact that she is an AI...A hail of ice rained down upon the dragon, and it does seem to cause him quite a great deal of pain. And in one last desperate attempt, the dragon's belly glowed red, and next thing we knew, it set it's self on fire.Smoke flooded the place at once, and I had to shield my own face to keep myself from coughing to death. Is it...over?Yeah, usually those thoughts are a death flag, and in this case, it was no exception. A pair of glowing amber eyes shot back at us, or at me it seems. Then in one great gust of wind, the smoke was forcibly parted. Revealing a giant pipe dragon, now with a pair of extra large wings at it's side. Oh shit...Even though the space was pretty big, it was still far to small for the dragon to actually fly around. But as it flapped it's wings again, several screams and shout came from the back, and I barely had the time to turn to see what was happening.Piphra, Sioux and Enju were all laid back on the ground, from the sheer force of the wind most likely. And it didn't take a genius to figure out, that our team formation has been broken, and at this rate, our team would undoubtedly...No...we came so far...At that moment, even though I didn't have a strong reason to fight like the previous times. I still had one. And that was:I want to win. Then from the corner of my eye, I caught Eziel at the side, who was still rubbing his head from the impact. Then without thinking twice, I rushed to his side and lended him one of my shoulders, and began to slowly drag him away."Drop me man! I am only going to drag you down! Abort the mission with the rest of the team!" Eziel protested."No, I think I got a way..." my voice trailed off."A plan? Then why didn't you tell...""Yeah, sorry. I came up with it on spot." And before Eziel could say anything else, I stopped and laid him down against the side of the cave wall. Then without hesitation, I ran back to the direction of the dragon."Wait! What are you planning to do? You are only going to get yourself killed!" Eziel screamed after me.I wasn't listening anymore, blood rushed over my ears, sweat glistened my palms, and my body like felt like tin foil in a microwave. And by that I mean, it was one of those stupid acts you know are dangerous, yet the exhilaration, the thrill...I didn't have a clear plan, just a vague idea, that probably has a lesser chance the winning the lottery. But I still did it, it was probably the heat confusing my mind, but it doesn't matter, cause at that point, there was no backing down. The dragon lifted back it's head and prepared for another wave of flame, and not even knowing what was going through my head at that time. I climbed on top of one of the gold piles and jumped right onto the dragon's neck. The dragon who was just aiming for me a second ago, did a 90 degree rotation of it's head and let out a streak of fire across the space, I jumped through a moment ago. And since I was no longer in the air, but rather riding on it's neck. Those previous fire aimed at me, now glazed at the ceiling instead. CRACK!A series of cracks came from the ceiling, and the dragon appeared just as stunned at the sight as me. CRACK! CRACK!More rock and flaming debris began to fall, and the dragon must have realised it as well. And when it tried to move out of place, I stretched my palm and shot my spell at it. The dragon's whipped it's head 180 degrees like a snake, yet somehow I was able to dodge it, thanks to my short height...Then seeing no other options, I held onto it's neck, it's sharp scales digging into my skin, but I had no other choice. All around me, the earth rained upon us. A rock smashed into my shoulder, almost causing me to lose grip, but somehow I held on."CURSED UNDERLING!"That was the last thing I heard, before the entire cave collapsed ontop of me.Q: Do you usually have a plan when playing RPG games, or you just go with it?
