Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

"Thank you, Mikael." Min-Jin came to sit by his side after putting Alison to sleep, and she hugged his arms and rested her head on his shoulder.

"How many times do you plan on thanking me?" He chuckled as he put away his phone and planted a kiss on her forehead.

She blushed at his affection and making up her mind, she climbed into his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Understanding what she meant, Mikael reached forward and sipped her lips, soon pulling her into a deep kiss, the first of her life.

He remained patient with her as he guided her through it, and soon she started liking the feel of it.

Min-Jin was hooked by this unique feeling, and she finally understood what kissing was all about and why people seemed crazy about it.

She felt her body warm up, and the way his hands caressed her waist, clawed it from time to time, she loved every bit of this moment.

A giggle escaped her lips when they finally separated, and she pressed her forehead against his as she caught her breath.

Inadvertently, she looked up, over his shoulder, and instantly froze.

Alison, who had just come out of the room and watched them kissing, panicked when she was caught looking, but Min-Jin was concerned about something else.

"What happened, Ally?" She gently asked as she climbed off Mikael's lap and walked towards her.

She wrapped her arms around her best friend and raised her brow when she watched her blush.

"Yes?"

"I am hungry..."

Min-Jin laughed in relief and even Mikael chuckled at how cute Alison looked right now.

"We can go for dinner, or we can order something to be delivered here. What do you want to eat?" He asked as he looked their way, and the girl with raven hair and grey eyes was just too shy to make any requests.

Min-Jin, who knew what her friend loved eating, spoke for her.

"Let's order Pizza."

"Alright." He walked out on the balcony and made a call to his servant downstairs.

After giving him the instructions, he called the finest Pizzeria in the city and ordered their four special Pizzas. Two for them, and two for the guards downstairs.

A minute later, he received the bill on his phone, which he paid and returned to the lounge.

"How old are you?" He curiously asked when he came to sit opposite the two ladies.

Alison, whom the question was directed at, immediately answered.

"I am 19. I will be 20 next month."

"We are the same age, and even our birthdays are only a week apart. I was born on the 21st, and she was born 27th." Min-Jin informed him.

"That's interesting. Are you also studying right now?"

Alison shook her head.

"I finished my courses for my Bachelors in Management Sciences a year earlier. The result has come out, and I have passed, completing my degree. I also have Minors in Business Finance and Business Economics."

"Oh, so that's why you were working as an intern." He understandingly nodded his head. "Where did you study?"

"Sylvor University." She answered with a light smile.

Even though Sylvor University was a Public University, getting into it was not easy.

Amongst the programmes they offered, the Bachelor in Management Sciences was one of the finest.

Unfortunately, all the top companies in the country preferred graduates from the top Private Universities, and the Imperial University, where he studied and where Min-Jin was studying, was one of the finest in Dragonia and even in the entire world.

"She could have easily gotten into Imperial University, but her Aunt deliberately sabotaged her chances..."

"Min.."

"Be quiet." She frowned at her friend, who sadly lowered her head. "She's brilliant, Mikael. If you have a spot in your new company, can you please take her in?"

Min-Jin hopefully requested him, and he smiled at her.

"Well, I do have spots open."

As soon as Alison heard those words, she hopefully looked at him.

"However, there are certain conditions involved in your case."

"What?" She nervously asked.

"If you want to work for me, then you will not return to your Uncle and Aunt's house. Min-Jin hasn't told me yet, but I am guessing that you are an orphan?"

She sadly lowered her head and nodded to him.

"Yes, so you must not go back there again. I do not need an employee who is mentally and physically abused every day."

Min-Jin sweetly smiled at him when she heard those words, and her heart felt very warm.

"If you choose to work for me, only the position of my Secretary is open for you. That is if you can promise me that you will not betray me and sell my secrets..."

"I won't!" She immediately shook her head and felt a little hurt that he even thought this way.

"Good. Then as my Secretary, you need to take care of your image as you will be representing me. This means that you need to dress well, be confident, and work hard."

"I understand." She nodded her head in a promise and then hesitated a little. "What will my salary be?"

She finally decided to ask about what mattered to her, and he was glad she did not shy of raising the important question.

"How about a 100k?" He asked, and she immediately nodded her head.

For fresh graduates, the annual salary of one hundred thousand was good. In fact, it was a lot.

"A month."

Her mind froze when she heard his words and saw the smile on his face.

Min-Jin laughed at seeing her mouth cutely drop open, big enough to fit an egg, but she quickly composed herself and felt a little unwell.

"This..."

"Additionally, you will receive a driver and a bodyguard who will be a female, so that she can be with you at all times. A car, health insurance, and options for bonuses depending on your performance."

"This is too much... I don't need a car or a bodyguard..."

"You said that she was smart." Mikael raised his brow at Min-Jin, who apologetically smiled at him.

"Ally, be nice." She said to her friend, who felt very embarrassed right now. "Don't forget what happened to you today."

Alison's body started shaking as she was reminded of the nightmare, and then she heard Mikael explain to her why she needed the bodyguard and the car.

"Secretaries do not have fixed working hours. You need to respond to the call of your Boss at every hour of the day. I can not afford you to be late for important meetings. And as my Secretary, you will be privy to a lot of my secrets. How can I leave you without any protection? The group of people who are my friends and enemies do not fear the law. People die and go missing every day. For my secrets, someone will undoubtedly target you."

She became very nervous after hearing his words, and even Min-Jin was a little terrified.

"And if Min-Jin is okay with it, you will permanently stay here with her. Our Office is in the next building, the Emres Business Tower. It will make things easy for you, and importantly, you will be safe."

"Of course, I am okay with it." The hazel-eyed girl happily hugged her friend and kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you, Min-Jin." Alison was on the verge of crying again but never got the chance as her friend suddenly attacked her, tickling her tummy, which sent her into fits of laughter.

Mikale amusedly watched the two girls playfully fight on the couch, and then took out his phone and transferred the Pocket Money to his lover's account.

As soon as she received a message on her phone, Min-Jin stopped teasing Alison and checked it, and she felt very unwell when she saw that he had transferred her a million Draks.

Yes, she had demanded these things, but she was not this vain. A million was a lot. She was not even expecting this amount in a year...

"Mikael..."

"Take Alison out for shopping tomorrow. You also need some work clothes as well. Suits with trousers, no skirts. Make sure your bodies are covered neck down, except for your hands and wrists. And no black suits and ties for women. Bracelets, watches, pendants, brooches, rings, and small earrings are fine. You must wear some, but no other jewellery is allowed in the office."

"Yes, Boss!" She laughed at seeing how controlling he was, but she felt very good in her heart.

Alison too was happy with the dress code since it meant that she would not be used as some showpiece.

"Report at the office at 3 pm tomorrow." He said to her and then looked at the message he had received on the phone.

"What are the office hours?"

"9 am to 6 pm." He answered her, and Alison nodded her head.

"You only have to come tomorrow to sign the contract and to get acquainted with the staff. You will officially start working from Tuesday."

"Okay."

"Excuse me." He suddenly said and walked out on the balcony to make a call.

"He's nice, Min-Jin" She could not help but say it, and her friends wrapped her arms around her.

"So, do you like him?"

She subconsciously nodded her head, but then shook it, fearing that her friend would misunderstand her.

"It's okay if you like him. I don't mind sharing him with you." She mischievously said, and Alison's face burned in a blush.

"Behave!"

"What? You don't want to share him with me?"

"No!" He said, but then felt that something was wrong.

"Aww..."

"That's not what I meant!"

"Liar!"

The two again started another war of tickles on the couch, and Mikael, who was on the balcony, was frowning as he waited for the call to be picked up.

But it wasn't, so he called another number.

"Hello?"

"Yes, Klara? I received a message from Raeya. She asked me to come home. Is everything okay?"

"Oh, yes. Anaiah has come to see you."

"I see."

"Where are you?"

"Emres."

"Office?"

"No."

She hesitated for a few seconds before asking the next question.

"Are you coming back tonight?"

It was clearly not the question she wanted to ask and neither was what Raeya was telling her to ask him.

"Yes, I will be there in a couple of hours."

"Alright. Take care."

By the time he finished the call, the doorbell rang, and he walked downstairs to receive the two Pizzas.

"Romeo's?" Min-Jin curiously looked at the boxes, having never seen this name before, but when she opened them, the sight of delicious Pizzas, filled with cheese that smelt heavenly, greeted her sensing.

Their mouths watered up, and both the girls quickly stood up to wash their hands and then returned to eat.

"Oh my God... this is so good!" She exclaimed, and Alison too was amazed at how good it was.

"I haven't met anyone who dislikes their Pizzas. They are the best in the city. Perhaps, even in the country." He chuckled and helped himself to some slices as well.
