As she sat beside her sister, feeling hopeless, the doctor came to meet her. "I'm afraid we don't have the facilities to help your sister here," he said gently. "But if we can transfer her to a higher-level hospital, we may be able to help her wake up."
Ivell's heart skipped a beat. "How much will it cost?" she asked, already knowing that her family couldn't afford it.
The doctor hesitated. "It's not going to be cheap. We're talking about a million dollars just to transfer her, not including the treatment."
Ivell felt her hope slipping away. She looked at her sister, lying helpless in the bed, and knew she had to try. But a million dollars was an impossible amount.
She walked out of the hospital, feeling defeated, and sat on the pavement, not caring about the curious looks from passersby. Suddenly, a black car pulled up beside her.
"Miss, you look like you could use some help," a cold, menacing voice said from the window. "I can make all your problems go away."
Ivell looked up warily. "What kind of help?" she asked.
"I can pay for your sister's treatment," the man replied, his face unreadable. "But it's going to cost you something in return"
Ivell's instincts screamed warning, but her desperation clouded her judgment. "What do you want?" she asked hesitantly.
The man's expression was unyielding"
Ivell felt a chill run down her spine. "What do you plan to do with me?" she asked, trying to hide her fear.
The man's smile was icy. "Oh, I have plans. Big plans. And you're going to be a part of them, whether you like it or not."
Ivell knew she was taking a risk, but her sister's life was at stake. She got into the car, and they drove off into the unknown, the man's cold, calculating gaze fixed on her the entire time.Got it! Let's try again.
They drove to a secluded location, and she turned to him, her voice firm. "What do you want from me?"
"I want you to sign this contract," he replied, his eyes gleaming with intensity. "Become my boss's wife for six months, and you'll receive twenty-five million dollars at the start and more million when your done and your housing and food will also be taken care of."
She took the contract, scanning it quickly for the amount. Her eyes widened as she saw the figure, and she looked up at him with a hint of skepticism. "Why? Why would you offer me this?"
"There's no catch," he replied coldly. "Just sign it, and the money is yours."
She raised an eyebrow, her expression unreadable. "And what exactly does your boss need a wife for?"
He shrugged. "Just a business arrangement. Nothing more, nothing less."
She nodded, her eyes still fixed on the contract. Then, with a swift motion, she scribbled her signature across the page. "Done."
As they parted ways, she received an alert on her phone. Twenty five million dollars had been deposited into her account. She felt a sense of relief wash over her even though she didn't know how he got her account details, but it was quickly replaced by a sense of unease. What had she just gotten herself into
