Chapter 4 - desperate decision

:

As Ivell fell to the ground, screaming in anguish, her junior sister woke up from her sleep and rushed to her side. She saw the devastation in Ivell's eyes and the lifeless body of their mother on the floor. She tried to speak, but words failed her. She was paralyzed with shock, unable to move or talk. Suddenly, she fainted, collapsing beside their mother's body.

Ivell was torn between staying with her mother's lifeless body and rushing her sister to the hospital. But she knew she had to be strong for her. She somehow managed to gather her wits and took her sister to the hospital.

The doctor's words were like a blur as Ivell struggled to process what was happening. "Heart attack... affected her heart... mental state... uncertain... coma..." The words swirled in her head, making no sense.

Her sister's condition was critical. The doctors didn't know if they could bring her out of the coma or what the outcome would be. Ivell felt like she was living in a nightmare, unable to wake up from the horror that had consumed their lives.

As Ivell sat beside her sister's hospital bed, holding her hand and praying for her recovery, she couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them. Would her sister ever wake up? Would she ever be the same again? The uncertainty was suffocating her, and she could only hope that somehow, someway, they would get through this together.

As she sat beside her sister, feeling hopeless, the doctor came to meet her. "I'm afraid we don't have the facilities to help your sister here," he said gently. "But if we can transfer her to a higher-level hospital, we may be able to help her wake up."

Ivell's heart skipped a beat. "How much will it cost?" she asked, already knowing that her family couldn't afford it.

The doctor hesitated. "It's not going to be cheap. We're talking about a million dollars just to transfer her, not including the treatment."

Ivell felt her hope slipping away. She looked at her sister, lying helpless in the bed, and knew she had to try. But a million dollars was an impossible amount.

She walked out of the hospital, feeling defeated, and sat on the pavement, not caring about the curious looks from passersby. Suddenly, a black car pulled up beside her.

"Miss, you look like you could use some help," a slick voice said from the window. "I can make all your problems go away."

Ivell looked up warily. "What kind of help?" she asked.

"I can pay for your sister's treatment," the man replied with a stone cold face. "But it's going to cost you something in return."

Ivell's instincts screamed warning, but her desperation clouded her judgment. "What do you want?" she asked hesitantly.

"Oh, just a small favor," the man said, his eyes gleaming with an unseen smirkbby. "You'll find out soon enough."

Ivell hesitated, unsure if she should trust this stranger. But her sister's life was at stake, and she felt like she had no other choice. She got into the car, and they drove off into the unknown. Little did she know, she was making a deal with the devil himself
