Richard returned from the office, ready to pick up Ashley for the birthday banquet. However, the servant informed him that Ashley wasn't home.
Richard was puzzled. Ashley had been eager to attend his grandmother's birthday banquet, but now, at the crucial moment, she was nowhere to be found.
He dialed Ashley's number.
"Didn't you want to attend the banquet? If you don't show up soon, I'm leaving without you," Richard threatened, sounding quite arrogant.
To his surprise, Ashley replied, "I'm already at the banquet entrance. Hurry up, everyone else is here except you."
Richard felt as if he had been struck by lightning. She was blaming him for being late? Was this woman really that impatient?
Anyone who didn't know better might think there was hidden treasure waiting for her at the banquet.
When Richard finally arrived at the banquet entrance, Ashley was indeed there.
