Ashley sat in the living room, peeling fruit to make herself a healthy breakfast. She hadn't slept well the previous night, and dark circles had formed under her eyes. She hoped the fruit would help replenish her vitamins.
Richard hadn't left for work yet. His long legs, clad in gray trousers, were crossed as he sat silently on the nearby sofa.
Ashley felt her face getting warm. When she looked up, she noticed the man beside her staring at her with an odd expression.
Feeling uncomfortable under his gaze, Ashley shifted her position and continued peeling the fruit. But the stare persisted. She wondered, what on earth was he looking at?
Seconds passed, and he was still staring.
Ashley couldn't take it anymore. She put down the knife and rubbed her forehead in frustration. What was he looking at? It was so strange.
