Oh, finally she got a weapon!

Even though the weapon didn't sound that impressive, at least she had something to protect herself.

[The weapon will be saved in Host's system inventory]

[New Mission Unlocked: Revive the Willow Village's field]

Medeia almost choked on her own spit when she heard the new mission. The land had been infertile and dry for years, so how could she fertilize the soil and revive the field?

She sighed and decided to think about that later.

"From now on, I will be able to fill the well once a day so that the village will no longer have to worry about water shortages," she announced to the villagers.

The villagers cheered her name over and over again, then ran to tell others the good news and grabbed buckets to take water from the well.

"Maybe it's time for me to open the well and let the villagers draw water whenever they want," Chief Eldric said.

Medeia shook her head. "No. It will be better if you keep the well closed and ask someone to distribute the water every day so that everyone can get water equally."

One of human nature was gluttony. When the water supply was abundant, there would be people who try to keep a lot of water for themselves.

Therefore, Medeia wanted Chief Eldric to control the water distribution. At least until she could create an unlimited water supply.

Fortunately, the village chief could understand her intentions, so he followed Medeia's words. "Then I'll arrange a schedule to protect the well."

With nothing more to discuss, Medeia wanted to return to the church.

"Wait, Miss Medeia! Take this meat for you!" Grandpa Noris put the mean in the bucket, then gave it to Medeia.

Medeia peeked into the bucked and thought the meat ration was too much for her alone. "Isn't it too much?"

Grandpa Noris smiled benignly at her. "You must be tired after using your abilities, so you need to eat more!"

Medeia didn't pretend to be polite and took the meat. Simon then walked her back to the old factory and helped her carry the bucket of meat.

On the way, Medeia observed the village environment. She had seen the village's layout through her memories, but seeing it with her own eyes felt different.

There were many empty houses in the village because most of the population had died or turned into the Lost. If she wasn't wrong, there were only 56 people left in the village.

If a strong monster attacked the village, Medeia was certain the entire village would be gone. Eventually, she really should find a way to strengthen the village's defense.

"Simon," Medeia called out his name to gain his attention. "When do you hunt again?"

Simon, "We hunt twice a week, so maybe we'll hunt again in three days."

"That's good. I want to join you too."

The outside world was dangerous and full of monsters, but Medeia would not be able to increase her level quickly if she stayed in the village forever.

But Simon rejected her outright. "You can't! It's so dangerous out there and I don't think I can protect you!"

"I'm not asking for your permission. If you won't let me join your group, then I'll go by myself."

Her words had put pressure on Simon, making him unable to refuse her further. In the way she talked, Simon had a feeling she wasn't just talking nonsense.

Medeia was an important person in the village now, so Simon didn't want anything bad to happen to her if he let her go alone.

"Are you sure you want to come with us? The outside world is dangerous and scary, Miss Medeia," warned Simon.

Medeia, "Simon, I was a wanderer before I came to the village. Trust me, I'm stronger than you think."

She lied.

The real Medeia had wandered in a large group, so she didn't have to protect herself. Unfortunately, her group was split up after they were attacked by hordes of high grade mutant monsters.

Lucky for her, she found the Willow Village when she almost jumped over the cliff. Since then, she lived in the village to get protection from others.

But the current Medeia was a different story. The system had reduced her physical strength and mana, but it didn't take away her combat skills and sharp senses.

As long as Medeia moved carefully, she wouldn't be dead just because she took a stroll outside the village.

"All right, I can let you join the hunting group, but you need to stay close to us," warned Simon.

Medeia, "I'll remember that."

When they arrived at the old factory, Medeia let Simon give the meat to Sister Jeanne, while she went into an empty room on the second floor.

There was nothing in the room except for dusty chairs. She wiped the dust off one of the chairs, then sat down on it.

After spending almost a day in that world, Medeia finally had time to explore the system. The first thing she did was click the status panel to check her status.

[CLOSE PANEL]

If she wanted to get her power again, then she had to increase her level quickly. Medeia clenched her fist, feeling something empty in her as she couldn't trace her demon power.

"System, I want to know more information about this planet," Medeia talked to the system out loud when she was alone.

[Processing information about the Arcion planet …]

Suddenly, a hologram panel with information about the Arcion appeared in front of her eyes.

[Fifteen years ago, a massive star exploded near the Arcion's solar system. The explosion released an enormous amount of cosmic radiation, which accidentally hit Arcion]

[Because of this radiation, all living beings in Arcion undergo genetic mutations and gain unique abilities]

[Most humans have become stronger and smarter in adapting to their environment. However, many of them couldn't maintain their sanity and let the power control their bodies]

[When that happened, they would turn into the Lost—a mindless mutated creature that looked like a monster]

[The remaining population of Arcion was only 20,000,000]

Medeia wrinkled her nose after reading this information. She found that the planet's condition was no different from hell, even worse.

But fortunately, she was an expert on living in hell.

"Last thing, can you summon a mirror? I haven't seen my face yet," asked Medeia. She found her voice was not different from her real voice, but she didn't know about her face.

[The system can turn the panel into mirror]

Medeia was taken aback as the hologram panel in front of her changed into a mirror. The face that looked back at her had a resemblance to the face she once had.

Her long platinum hair was scattered over her shoulders, and her blue eyes shone like sapphires.

Oh, her eyes were different.

[Host eye color can change to red when Host has activated your demon ability]

Fair enough.

Besides, humans didn't have natural red eyes, so it was better for her to have an ordinary eye color.

Even though her current face couldn't be compared to her beauty in the past, it was still beautiful enough to make men fall in love with her at first sight.

With that beautiful face, Medeia was certain she could snatch her future husband's heart easily.
