Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Forgotten Consciousness

And now, Vishnu realized, it had come full circle. The most recent incarnation of this shard had been Krishna—the young man who dreamt of bringing Indian mythology to the world. In this lifetime, he had unknowingly carried out the final threads of his karmic duty. His death in the bomb blast was not a random tragedy, but rather the culmination of a cycle that had begun long ago, when Vishnu's Krishna avatar had left the mortal world.

This shard of me," Vishnu said aloud, his voice echoing through the cosmic ether, "was lost when I was Krishna. It wandered through the ages, fulfilling karmic paths, waiting for its moment of return. It has now completed its karma in the mortal realm."

Shiva and Brahma listened intently, understanding the weight of Vishnu's words.

Shiva spoke, his voice deep and contemplative. "So, this fragment of your divine consciousness, which lived as Krishna in the mortal world, has been reborn time and again, without memory of its true nature. Now, it has completed its journey."

Vishnu nodded, his eyes distant as he watched the cycles of time play out before him. "Yes, and now that the karma of this mortal incarnation has been fulfilled, the soul is free. We can guide this consciousness to return to its true nature, to reunite with its divine origins. But not here—not in the universe where it has just died. That universe is at a critical juncture, under the influence of demonic forces."

Brahma, the Creator, understood what Vishnu was implying. "You suggest we transfer this soul—this shard of your consciousness—into the universe where the disturbance has occurred. The one where the demons have prematurely accelerated the chaos of Kaliyug."

Vishnu's eyes gleamed with divine clarity. "Yes. In that universe, the demons and monster are rising, and the humans are vulnerable to their corruption. But there are also spiritual energies awakening—remnants of an earlier time. The balance is fragile, and the humans need guidance. This soul, though it is only a fragment of me, carries with it the wisdom of countless lives. It may be the key to restoring order."

Shiva, ever the master of cosmic cycles, leaned forward. "But the soul must not remember its divine origins. It must live as a mortal, experience the struggles of the world as they do. Only then can it truly combat the darkness from within their realm. It must be human to face the human condition."

Brahma nodded in agreement. "This soul must be born again, but with no memory of its past lives, no memory of its connection to Vishnu. It must start anew, yet it will carry within it the latent power of its previous incarnations. This is the only way to keep the balance."

"It will be done," Vishnu said. "The soul will be transferred. It will be born into that universe as a human, but it will carry the divine spark within. It will be drawn to the ancient stories, the wisdom of the gods, even if it doesn't understand why. In time, it will awaken to its purpose."

Shiva, satisfied, closed his eyes once more, returning to his deep meditation. "The cycle continues," he said softly. "Creation, destruction, and rebirth. This is the way of the universe."Brahma raised his hand, sending out a pulse of divine energy into the fabric of reality. "The soul will be reborn in the universe of disturbance. The karmic cycle will begin anew."

As the three gods resumed their eternal roles, the soul of Krishna—now free from the mortal body—began its journey across the multiverse, traveling through the threads of time and space. It would be reborn into a world on the brink of chaos, where demons roamed and spiritual auras flickered in the darkness. There, it would live again, a mortal once more, carrying within it the echo of a divine consciousness. The next chapter in the battle for balance was about to begin.

The cosmos shifted as the gods prepared their plan for Krishna's rebirth. The delicate balance of the universe required that the soul—this fragment of Vishnu's divine essence—be given the tools necessary to navigate the coming trials. But even with the gods' guidance, Krishna would be reborn as a mortal, subject to human limitations and the challenges of the physical world.

For this reason, the gods chose to gift him something that would bridge the gap between his mortal incarnation and the higher knowledge that existed beyond the veil of the material world. Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma gathered in the infinite expanse of the divine realm, their minds focused on the task at hand.

"The red crystal," Vishnu said, his voice resonating through the ether. "It has been with Krishna for lifetimes, silently watching over him. It was once a talisman of protection, a fragment of divine energy that bound him to the cosmic order. Now, it must serve a greater purpose."

Shiva nodded, his deep, rumbling voice adding to the conversation. "This crystal will become more than just a symbol. It will be a vessel of knowledge, a gateway between worlds, holding within it the history of the earth, the stories of humanity, and the wisdom of the ages. It will carry with it all that Krishna needs to understand his purpose."

Brahma, ever the creator of worlds and stories, lifted his hand and summoned a pulse of energy. From this energy, the red crystal began to take on a new form. It glowed brighter than ever, pulsing with a deep, otherworldly light, as if it held the secrets of the universe within its small, unassuming frame.

"This crystal will now hold the knowledge of the past, present, and even fictional realities," Brahma said. "It will allow Krishna to access stories, myths, and histories from across time and space. He will be able to travel not only within his universe but also into the worlds of fiction and imagination. Stories, after all, are part of the fabric of existence. They shape reality, just as reality shapes stories."
