"Hey, bitch, I'm not going to tell you again—it's time we leave," Vixie shouted, standing before a closed door, calling out to Haley, who was behind it.
"And I'm not gonna tell you again—I'm not going anywhere with you," Haley replied, just as frustrated with Vixie as Vixie was with her. "Just tell me where Emily went, and I'll go there myself."
"If I tell you that and leave you behind, the only thing you'll achieve is getting yourself killed, and I'm not gonna have that on my conscience," Vixie replied as sweetly as possible, though all she felt like doing was snapping Haley's neck.
She heard Haley scoff behind the closed door. "Vixie, you might've fooled Emily, but I know you don't have a conscience. All you have is a blackened heart that stopped beating a long time ago, so fuck off!"
"Okay, that's it. I'm coming in," Emily said, restraining herself from blasting the door down and instead shape-shifting into a puddle of water to sneak inside.
