Emily walked towards Haley's room. She had finished up the matters with Jenny and solved a temporary problem she would have to deal with when it came back. But for now, the base had to be as secure as possible—not just in security and strength, but in solidarity among her and the women who must carry hate towards her in their hearts.
But even that would have to come later. First, she needed to handle Haley. Haley needed to become strong, and not just her—everyone by her side must be, including herself.
She walked in unannounced, like she had with Jenny's room. There she found Haley and Elle playing rock, paper, scissors. They looked so engrossed that they barely registered Emily's presence.
"Come on, you're cheating," Elle complained with a groan as she lost to Haley's paper after delivering a rock.
"I'm not cheating, you're just predictable," Haley replied, rolling her eyes.
