Scott groaned.
His body was weighed down by the pain.
Miss Mercury's hands blurred across his battered torso, her face tight with worry.
"You're breathing okay, right?"
She sounded very sharp, but at the same time concerned.
Almost as if she was panicking while inspecting the wounds he'd sustained.
Scott blinked as his mind was still catching up to her rapid movements.
"Uh, yeah…"
She didn't even pause.
Her hands shifted to his arms as she squeezed and flexed his muscles to test their responsiveness.
"Can you feel this? Lift them for me. Do they feel heavy? Numb? Weak? Tell me now."
Scott let out an exasperated sigh as his body ached from the constant manhandling.
"Emma. I'm fine, okay? Seriously, can you not do this right now? There's a giant monster out there leveling the city."
Miss Mercury leaned back on her knees as she placed her hands on her massive hips.
