Woodhull Private Hospital, Meteor City…
It was 9:05 p.m.
Quite late.
But, Gwen's eyes finally fluttered open.
She squinted as her head throbbed like someone had dropped a boulder on it. Blinking away the haze, she noticed three familiar faces surrounding her bed.
Tess sat on her right as she bit her lower lip with worry.
Looking just as worried was Grace who sat on the left.
Ken stood at the foot of the bed with arms crossed, and a strong but slightly anxious face.
Gwen groaned softly.
"What's going on?"
She grabbed her throbbing head.
"Wh-, Why are you all staring at me like that?"
Grace leaned closer.
"You passed out, Gwen. You've been out for hours."
Her tone was quite gentle.
"Oh…"
Gwen's other hand shot up to her temple as a sharp pain lanced through her skull. Flashes of memory assaulted her to piece together the fragments of what had happened.
