It was still early morning.

Even in a gloomy place like Meteor City, the sun still shone brightly in the sky.

Scott's pitch-black GT-R roared through the empty streets like a beast unleashed. The wind rushed in through the open windows and tangled his messy wolf-cut hair as it danced in the turbulence. His hands rested lightly on the steering wheel, yet his eyes remained sharp as he tracked every twist and turn with ease.

The multifunction display on his dashboard lit up to show an incoming call.

He glanced at the name.

[Commissioner Lisbon…]

He'd called her earlier today, but she didn't pick.

With a sigh, he grabbed a sleek earpiece from the cupholder, hooked it over his ear, and tapped it to answer.

"Nightwatch?"

It was a woman's voice.

"It's strange for you to call me in the morning. You're more of a late-night operator, aren't you?"

There was a teasing lilt in her tone.
