THE BIRTH OF AERION TARGARYEN

It was a cold night in 103 AC, the coronation of King Viserys Targaryen, the First of His Name, King of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Faith, had just taken place two months ago

In the Red Keep, a woman was giving birth.

"AAAHAAAAAHAAAAH!"

Soon, the sound of a baby's cry echoed through the halls.

"Congratulations, my grace! You have a beautiful nephew!" said the nurse, holding a baby wrapped in white cloth.

"Give him here," said King Viserys Targaryen, taking the baby from the nurse.

"Look, brother! He is gorgeous and strong, he will be a lady killer when he grows up," Viserys exclaimed.

Daemon scoffed. "Whatever. I seriously doubt he will be anything special; after all, he is the son of the northern bitch of mine."

Daemon and Alyssa hated each other forced into marriage they did not wanted , after the coronation of viserys both Daemon and Alyssa got drunk and poof Alyssa was pregnant

"Daemon! Stop!" yelled Viserys, handing the baby over to his wife, Aemma.

"He is beautiful—a perfect blend between a Targaryen and a Stark. AERION TARGARYEN, that shall be his name," Viserys declared.

Daemon's interest piqued as he walked toward Aemma to take a look at the boy. The child had silver hair with strands of black, one purple eye, and one blue. The baby was indeed striking.

"I still want nothing to do with him," Daemon muttered, though he couldn't deny the boy's beauty. He wanted a Velaryon bride.

"Give him to me," said a weak-looking woman covered in sweat.

"Here " said Aemma while giving the baby carefully to the women

This was Alyssa Stark, daughter of Rickon Stark, the Warden of the North, and wife of Daemon Targaryen.

Time passed, and Daemon himself chose an egg for his "son," an egg of Vhagar and Balerion, believed to be petrified. Daemon did this to spite his wife.

Three months after Aerion's birth, the entire Red Keep was shocked. One morning, when the maids walked into the room, they found the baby soundly sleeping, cuddled by a dragon.

The dragon was named Zephyros

Quickly, the royal family was informed. Daemon was not in King's Landing; he was at Dragonstone, news of hatching of egg could not reach Daemon as he had already flown on his dragon to essos.

In 106AC When Daemon returned to the Red Keep, he was stunned to hear that the "petrified" egg had hatched. He rushed straight to the chambers of his wife and son, where he met Alyssa coming out.

"Well, well, at least he can be called a Targaryen or at least be better than those bastards of Valyrian houses in Essos," Daemon said, attempting to spite his wife.

"Look who has returned, the man-whore," Alyssa retorted, her disdain for him clear. It was common knowledge that they both loathed each other.

"You... northern bitch, you—" Daemon began, but he was cut off by a loud screech of a dragon hatchling coming from inside.

Alyssa and Daemon rushed into the chambers to find their son lying unconscious.

That day, Aerion fell into a coma. Maesters were called, but to no avail. Even healers from all over Westeros came to provide help, yet none could save him.

In 107 AC, Daemon Targaryen proposed an annulment of his marriage to Alyssa Stark, claiming she had given birth to a weak child who could die at any moment.

Viserys was furious at Daemon's statement; however, Otto Hightower saw an opportunity and convinced Viserys to grant the annulment.

Otto wanted the annulment to Humiliate the North and their old gods while developing hatred between Daemon and north to further weaken the position of Daemon Targaryen as the heir.

Though reluctant, Viserys granted Daemon his wish. In one swift move, he angered the entire North.

Alyssa Stark demanded that her son leave for the North with her. Otto intervened once more, arguing that it would be seen as a weakness to allow a prince to leave the Red Keep with a dragon.

Finally, Viserys received envoys from the North, demanding that Alyssa and her child return, arguing that the North had been insulted enough.

Aemma, who had grown fond of Alyssa, convinced Viserys to let Alyssa take Aerion with her.
