Synopsis

Chapter 1 - The dragon wakes up

Aerion Targaryen was an intelligent child; he could understand the language spoken around him at the age of two. Even the maesters were shocked by his intelligence. He understood everything, including the gossip circulating in the Red Keep. The maids secretly laughed at him for being abandoned by his father.

Aerion's POV

Age: 2 years

Location: Red Keep, King's Landing

They all laughed at me because my father abandoned me just after I was born; he ran off to Essos.

Even though Mother does not say it, I can see her anger when someone mentions Daemon Targaryen.

Lately, I have been feeling more and more sleepy; it's not normal sleep. I see things—like a girl walking out of flames, holding three dragons.

Speaking of dragons, my dragon Zephyros is always beside me. I love him, and I can feel that he loves me. Even right now, he is right beside me; he is the only one I can play with.

Even though there is Rhaenyra, she is older than me and does not like to play. She is always with her friend Alicent, running from her lessons with Septa.

Suddenly, I hear the voices of my mother and my aunt Aemma.

"Is there no word from him?" Aunt Aemma asks, her voice laced with concern.

"No," my mother replies, her tone tinged with anger. "That useless man has run off to Essos, probably trying to find a Valyrian bride for himself."

Essos, a continent filled with magic and power, I have heard, became rather powerful after the fall of Valyria, but they do not have dragons like we do.

Year: 107 AC

I can hear Daemon Targaryen arguing with my mother outside. I want to stop them, but I feel very sleepy. They are calling for me, and I can't resist it...

It's all dark... It's like watching a story being played out again and again before me—the Dance of the Dragons, the Blackfyre Rebellion, the Summerhall Tragedy, the Rebellion, the War of Five Kings, and finally, the Long Night.

Suddenly, there's light, and I wake up to an unfamiliar ceiling. The maid is shocked, drops her plate, and runs out.

"Where am I?" I ask.

My mother comes and hugs me tightly, followed by a man with a stone-cold face, dark hair, and blue eyes.

"You are safe, my child. You have come back to your mother," she tells me.

My mother explains that it has been five years since I fell "asleep" and that Daemon Targaryen annulled his marriage to her, humiliating the North.

I feel pure rage building up inside me after I mother told me what happened not only "he" humiliated my mother but even tried to sperate me from her ,I will have my vengeance

"WINTER WILL COME FOR THEM "

I am currently in my maternal home, Winterfell, the seat of House Stark.

I hear a loud roar.

"Someone else has been waiting for you!"

I run outside to see my dragon, Zephyros. He has grown so huge that he rivals Seasmoke. I can understand him... He could feel my emotions while I was "asleep."

Alyssa's POV

Location: Winterfell

I thought I could never hear my son's voice again. He was the only good thing that happened to me in the South.

After the incident five years ago, where I was humiliated and had to plead with the king to keep my son with me, I became convinced that nothing good comes from Northerners going South.

I would protect my son from that bastard Daemon Targaryen. He suddenly remembered he had a son and wrote a letter a few moons ago, asking to bring my unconscious son back to the Red Keep. I know he wrote the letter just to spite me

My father was furious; I swear he could have cut off Daemon's head if he were here in front of his dragon.

Rickon Stark's POV

Location: Winterfell

After the insult faced by Alyssa in King's Landing, all the Northern lords have been very angry over the past years. Daemon Targaryen's indifference toward his only son—my grandson—has only fueled their rage.

Five years ago, it took everything in me to stop myself from calling the banners and marching on King's Landing to take Daemon's head.

Now that my grandson is awake, I will not let him go into the den of snakes where he is just a pawn.
