Check out my other novel Pokemon: A different ash (Also in patreon )
See the Poké Ball in front of you.
Chris was stunned for a moment. He looked up at the ceiling, but there was only a bright incandescent lamp.
So... where did this thing fall from? Also, I haven't bought a Poké Ball.
Even an empty Poké Ball costs 200 bucks at the official store!
Just as Chris reached out to pick up the Poké Ball, with a bang, it opened by itself.
An orange-red chick jumped out.
"Tor-chic!!(≧▽≦)ゞ"
It was a Torchic, its body covered in orange feathers, and its big black eyes were full of excitement. It blinked up at Chris, then happily ran around him, rubbing his palm with its soft, feathery body.
"A real... Torchic?" Chris's eyes widened as he felt the warmth and softness in his hand.
Where did this Torchic and its Poké Ball come from?!
Looking around, Chris's gaze landed on his handheld.
Just now, he had received a Torchic in his game, and now, a Poké Ball with Torchic had appeared in real life...
Chris immediately had a bold guess.
He quickly turned on the handheld again, and the game that appeared on his screen was no longer just a Pokémon collection—it was *Pokémon Emerald*.
Never mind the advanced games.
Entering the game, Chris guided his character out of Littleroot Town, through Route 101, and into Oldale Town. He reached Route 103, where he found his rival, May.
According to the storyline, May challenges the protagonist to a battle.
An unexpected option to refuse appeared.
Chris chose to decline without hesitation—he had no time to battle her now!
After speaking with May, he returned to the Lab.
In the Lab, Professor Birch gave the protagonist a Pokédex and five Poké Balls.
As the protagonist left the Lab, his in-game mother stopped him at the door and handed him a pair of Running Shoes. With them, the protagonist could move faster.
Chris then entered Route 101. After a few steps, the screen shifted to a battle scene.
His opponent was a Level 2 Zigzagoon.
In the standard Emerald version, Pokémon that appear in the tall grass on Route 101 are usually Zigzagoon, Wurmple, or Poochyena.
Chris commanded Torchic to use Ember. Zigzagoon's health bar dropped quickly into the red. It was the perfect time to catch it, so he threw a Poké Ball.
After two shakes, the Poké Ball clicked shut—it was a successful capture.
**Zigzagoon (Normal)**
**Level: 2**
**Ability: Pickup** (Has a chance to pick up items after battle)
**Individual Values: HP (22), Attack (31), Special Attack (20), Defense (15), Special Defense (21), Speed (31)**
**Moves: Growl, Tackle**
**Held Item: None**
Not bad, a 2V Pokémon with solid attack and speed stats.
But despite its decent attributes, Chris had no intention of training it. The purpose of catching it wasn't for training.
Exit the Pokémon's Attribute screen and immediately select Save.
**Do you want to record and exit?**
"Record."
**Recording....**
**Recording completed, exiting the game.**
The handheld's screen went black.
At the same time, after a series of *dong dong dong* sounds, four empty Poké Balls, a Poké Ball containing Zigzagoon, a Pokédex, and a pair of Running Shoes fell in front of Chris.
"Even the items fell out too?!" Chris was instantly ecstatic.
He had guessed that the Pokémon he obtained in the game would appear in the real world after saving the game. Now it seemed that not only the Pokémon but also the items could materialize!
Chris took a deep breath. When he first came to this world, he was worried about not having some kind of "golden finger" (a special advantage or ability). He never imagined that it had been by his side all along—he just hadn't realized it.
But it wasn't too late to find out!
Become a Trainer?
No, I'm going to be an Elite, a Champion, maybe even a Pokémon Master!
Chris was immediately filled with ambition.
With the ability to bring Pokémon and items from the game into reality, the problem of limited resources was no longer an issue.
He could even get quasi-legendaries, Shiny Pokémon, 6IV top-tier Pokémon, and maybe even legendary Pokémon!
In the real world, every legendary Pokémon was powerful enough to cause global destruction. But in the game...
Hehe, in a turn-based battle, the action of throwing a Poké Ball is always done at max speed. He could just save, shut down, and restart repeatedly—what if it took an afternoon of throwing Poké Balls to catch Entei?
Chris would do it in a heartbeat, even if it took a month!
But he didn't think it would take that long. In *Pokémon Emerald*, the legendary Pokémon were only level 70. He could train his team to level 70, go 6-on-1, and just keep throwing Poké Balls. It wouldn't take a year—a few minutes would do.
The drowsiness that Chris had felt when he first woke up was long gone.
He took out his phone and silently ordered a delivery—just a box of Red Bull and a box of coffee.
Tonight, he wouldn't sleep unless the moon itself slept. He was ready to embrace the grind.
As for baldness, only by going bald could he prove that he had grown stronger!
Tribute to the already invincible bald cape.
