700 power stones =1 bonus chapter

"Why is Dragon-type material so expensive?" Chris asked, still looking down.

It turned out that Dragon Type items cost 5 million more for every 1% increase in effectiveness, much more than the 2 million for other types.

"Because it's a Dragon-type," Theodore replied.

Chris found the explanation amusing.

Soon after, Chris discovered that not only Dragon-type items were pricey, but Psychic-type and Fairy-type items were also expensive, costing 3 million per 1% increase.

What's up with the Dragon, Psychic, and Fairy masters?

Still, Chris understood that compared to items for other types, Dragon, Psychic, and Fairy-type items were relatively rare, making the high prices somewhat justifiable.

Chris placed his order without hesitation.

First, a 30% Mystic Water, totaling 20 million.

Treasure-level Pokémon items have an upper limit of 30%. Mystic Water was for Frogadier, and there was no need to buy items for the others just yet.

Makuhita already had a Black Belt from Granite Cave, and Abra had a Twisted Spoon. Combusken and Kirlia could use any treasure-level items.

"Thanks. I'll be off now. If you need any more Nosepasses, just call me," Chris said, preparing to leave with Delibird and Togepi.

"Don't forget to stop by the lab," Theodore called out.

"Got it," Chris replied without looking back.

The next day, Chris took the time to send Miss Roxanne's research on Nosepass to Theodore.

After reading it, Theodore learned a lot and thought that if Chris joined the Nosepass research, it would speed up their breakthroughs.

Unfortunately, Chris had no interest in Nosepass. His knowledge only came from Miss Roxanne's breeder notes, so he had nothing further to offer Theodore. As a result, Chris never visited Theodore's lab and didn't plan to in the future.

He wouldn't bother with it anymore.

After leaving the Trainer Association, Chris took Delibird and Togepi to the nearest buffet.

He bought one adult ticket and two Pokémon tickets, letting them take whatever they wanted to eat.

There were more rules for buffets in the Pokémon world, such as restrictions on Munchlax and Snorlax, and extra charges for Pokémon weighing more than 200 pounds.

It made sense. If Snorlax were allowed in, the buffet owner would probably go bankrupt.

However, what Chris didn't expect was for Delibird and Togepi to return asking for Pokéblocks after browsing the food.

It seemed the Pokéblocks were far better than regular food made for Pokémon.

"Is it really that good?" Chris wondered. After giving some Pokéblocks to Delibird and Togepi, he decided to try one himself.

"It's so sweet!" Chris exclaimed. It tasted like a fruity piece of candy.

Suddenly, he understood why his Pokémon preferred Pokéblocks over other meals.

Still, Chris thought steak was more satisfying.

The taste of meat was unbeatable.

After lunch, Chris took Delibird and Togepi back to Dragon University. As promised, he helped them find a delivery job at the Braised chicken rice stall on the second floor of the canteen.

"By the way, where are you staying tonight?" Chris suddenly remembered that Delibird and Togepi had just arrived at Dragon University and had nowhere to live.

Were they going to sleep outside like typical wild Pokémon?

Delibird might manage, but Togepi…

"Dei Li..." Delibird looked a little troubled.

"Want to stay at my place?" Chris offered.

Delibird hesitated, feeling embarrassed. They had already eaten his food, gotten help finding a job, and now they were going to stay at his house too?

"I'll just show you where it is. That way, when I order Braised chicken rice in the future, you can easily stop by," Chris said, picking up Togepi and heading home without giving them a chance to refuse.

"Togepiiiiii !!!(Let's go!)" Togepi cheered excitedly.

Delibird hurried to catch up.

Back at his dormitory, Chris selected an empty room on the second floor for Delibird and Togepi.

"This will be your place from now on. You can rest here when you're not delivering takeaways," Chris said with a generous smile.

The villa was quite spacious. Even after giving Delibird and Togepi their own room, there were still two vacant ones on the second floor.

Of the Pokémon with Chris, only Kirlia and Smeargle had their own rooms. Kirlia, being like a daughter to him, had one, while Smeargle needed a quiet space for painting. Mostly, Chris just wanted peace and quiet.

Combusken preferred sleeping on the floor of Chris's room, and Frogadier liked sleeping in the pool outside. Makuhita, however, had made himself at home on the sofa. Sometimes when Chris got up at night and went to the living room, the TV would still be on, with Makuhita sound asleep—popcorn in one hand, Coke in the other, like a total couch potato.

"Dei Li! Dei Li! (I'll definitely repay you!)" Delibird declared, clenching his fists, determined to work hard.

"Toge Toge! (Me too!)" Togepi echoed, mimicking Delibird with a serious, adorable expression that made Chris want to laugh.

Chris gave Togepi a gentle pat, then returned to his room.

Leaning back on his balcony chair, he took out his handheld console.

Time to play!

He opened the game, with the protagonist standing at the entrance of Granite Cave.

Wait, he hadn't brewed his tea yet, and the tablet was still out of reach.

Before Chris could act, Kirlia had already used Confusion to float the tablet and teapot over to the tea table.

"As expected, you always get me!" Chris gave Kirlia a thumbs-up.

"Kirlia~" Kirlia gave a slow salute while holding her Paige doll.

Though the tablet was ready, Chris still had to choose his TV series himself. With one hand pressing the buttons on the handheld, he tapped the tablet with the other, selecting a comic to listen to while playing.

This was peak comfort.

Picking up his handheld again, Chris focused on the battle screen. Frogadier was about to use "Thief" to defeat the opposing Pokémon and grab its held item.

"Wait!" Chris froze, his hands suddenly still.

The Pokémon that appeared on the screen was a shiny Aron!

I... I finally… I finally found one! ! !
