"Someone's excited to meet daddy" I laughed. Ethan sat me down on the couch next to him, kneeling in front of me with an incredibly surprised expression.
"You have my pup…. How is this possible? We weren't mates..." He asked, looking for the answer in my eyes.
"Stellar told me it happened when I was human. She was asleep and we wanted each other. Apparently that was enough" I explained. He looked at my belly tenderly, stroking it gently.
"I'm going to have a baby with you... A little pup..." He lifted me up from the couch, hugging me. I wrapped my legs around his waist, hugging him just as tightly.
"Nova… You are my moon, my Luna, my love. I love you" He kissed me with great affection. I might have melted in his arms again if someone hadn't knocked on the door. Ethan growled threateningly but I touched his cheek, looking at him tenderly. He calmed down immediately.
"Come in" He ordered coldly. Idris entered the room with Barret, heads down.
"Alpha, Luna" They greeted us. I tried not to smile when I heard the title given to me. Instead, Ethan nodded with satisfaction.
"What is it?" He asked, wrapping one arm around my waist.
"There are some things to discuss.."
"Wait" He took my hand, led me to the desk, sat down in the chair and pulled me to sit on him, facing his chest. Before I started to protest, he calmed me down.
"I want to feel him. You'll let me do that, right?" He whispered in my ear. I sighed, snuggling into him, resting my head on his neck.
"Speak" He nodded to Idris.
They started talking about the pack and some business. I didn't listen. I was busy feeling his pleasant warmth and the occasional gentle kick of the baby. Without knowing when, listening to Ethan's pleasantly low voice vibrating against my chest, I fell asleep.
After some time, his voice fell silent. But he didn't stop purring for me. All I heard was the sound of pen writing on paper before I fell back asleep.
"Nova, honey, you need to eat something" I heard his low voice. I rose languidly, looking straight into his shining eyes. He kissed me tenderly, picked me up and carried me to the table with the prepared food.
"Have you been to the doctor?" He asked after the meal, hugging me.
"I didn't know where to go with it. Stellar took care of us" I replied quietly. He stood up and took my hand.
"Come. Let's check on our little wolf" He smiled at me, leading me to a building near their house.
We went inside and I noticed that this must be their clinic. Entering one of the empty rooms, he called out "Lena!" He sat me down on the bed when an elderly woman in a white coat entered the room.
"Yes, Alfa" She bowed her head.
"I would like you to examine our Luna and her baby" He said, holding my hand.
The woman raised her head and looked at me with pleasant surprise. She bowed to me and walked over to us. First she wrote down my information. Then she started conducting various tests. Finally, lying on the bed, we saw our little puppy for the first time. Tears welled up in my eyes at the sight of the baby moving inside my belly. Ethan looked on with similar emotion, gripping my hand tightly.
"Everything's all right. The boy is healthy. By calculating its size, you are in the third month. For the next two we will check how he is developing and then you will be able to meet him" She smiled at me.
"How so? After all, I'll only be in my fifth month?" I asked, surprised. Lena looked at Alpha.
"She lived alone until now. She doesn't know most things about life in a pack, much less about wolf pregnancy" He explained.
"Luna, wolves are pregnant for five months. Over the next two months, the baby will grow significantly. He will be born as a wolf and soon transform into a human. The baby will be fully developed as if you gave birth to it after nine months" She said.
"I see" I looked at my still flat stomach, not believing that in two months I would give birth to a baby.
After writing down all the necessary information, Ethan and I left the clinic. We walked around his pack's premises for some time. He showed me where everything was and how his people lived here. As we passed the other wolves, they all bowed to us respectfully, smiling at me.
"They're obviously happy that their crazy Alpha has finally found his Luna" He whispered into my ear, biting it lightly.
"Hey!" I grabbed it, trying to move away from him. But he pulled me to his side, kissing my forehead.
"I would like to let Stellar out. She hasn't run for a long time"
"Women do not transform during pregnancy. It may endanger the child" He denied.
He'll be fine, I'll protect you both. You can feel free to transform. I smiled cheekily at him.
"Stellar will protect us. So what? Ready to be left behind?" I nudged him, hiding behind a nearby tree and taking off my clothes.
"For you I can always be behind" He laughed as he undressed.
"Oooh, do you want to indulge me? Not good... If you don't do your best, you'll sleep in another room" I warned.
The smile disappeared from his face. I transformed and slowly ran forward. A moment later, Aziel caught up with us. Stellar nodded her head to the side and ran like an arrow forward. Aziel followed right behind her, but this time, it was hard for him to catch up with her.
She wasn't lying when she said she was much stronger. Excited by the chase, he went for it. He ran incredibly fast, slowly approaching the wolf running in front of him. They passed trees and obstacles with great grace. As if they weren't there at all.
Finally fed up with the chase, they both waddled to the stream to quench their thirst. They could finally meet in their true forms. Fawning and cuddling each other, we allowed them to take complete control so that they could pair up just like us.
The next few days passed peacefully. Ethan showed me a lot. I met beta and gamma partners who also taught me many things. Being accepted into the pack as Luna was an amazing experience to me.
I received a beautiful white dress that fit me perfectly. My hair was tied up in a bun with a diamond tiara on top of my head. Delicate makeup, illuminating my extremely satisfied face.
On the stage among his people and many numerous guests, stood him.
My Alpha male. My Ethan, who was my whole world.
He stood proud. Head high. Staring only at me. I took my oath to the pack and the Alpha and was officially accepted into the pack.
At first, it was difficult for me to get used to many voices and communicate in my thoughts. However, over time everything became much simpler.
My belly has grown, now resembling a large watermelon. Ethan took care of me and my every whim, and the baby grew quickly.
When I was only a few days away from giving birth, I woke up in the middle of the night. I felt wet underneath me. I knew my water had just broken. However, I didn't know if I was ready for it. A little later I started to feel increasingly stronger contractions.
As fate would have it, on this particular night, Ethan had to be at some important meeting. He was supposed to come back in the morning, but I wouldn't be able to stand it until then.
Somehow I scrambled out of bed and between contractions I slowly tried to walk to the door. They were getting stronger and more painful. I managed to mentally summon the partners of Idris and Barret. They helped me get to the clinic and Lena took care of me there.
She calmed me down and showed me what to do. She assured that the Alpha already knew and would be here soon. Many painful contractions later, I heard that I was ready to push. If it weren't for Stellar who helped me endure the pain, I don't know if I would have made it.
"I can see the head now. Two more strong pushes and you'll see your pup" Lena encouraged me.
Nova! Honey! I'll be there soon! I heard it in my mind. Ethan! Finally.
Hearing his voice, I found the strength for one last effort. Screaming loudly, I felt something leave my body.
"Good job Luna! You have a healthy boy" Lena handed me a small ball wrapped in a blanket. A tiny silver-furred wolf pup was whining quietly in my embrace.
All the tiredness disappeared immediately. I carefully hugged the baby to me. Sensing me, he quickly stopped whining. Suddenly, a breathless Alfa burst through the door. Seeing me with the baby in my arms, he slowly approached us. He hugged me and kissed my forehead.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you" He stroked the blanket with the pup.
"You have a successor... Looking just like daddy" I laughed weakly.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that" He stroked the puppy's silver fur and the baby slowly opened its beautiful golden eyes. We looked at each other with satisfaction.
"A little bit of you, a little bit of me" He hugged me again. After some time, the little wolf began to change. A small baby cry could be heard in the room. I put him to my breast and the grieving son immediately started pulling in search of food.
"Lucky guy" The jealous Alpha muttered. I stroked his cheek.
"If you behave, you'll get your portion too" I whispered seductively into his ear.
He purred pleasantly and lust appeared in his eyes. However, he quickly stopped it. He knew he had to give me some time to recover.
What he didn't know was that I was also looking forward to it. I wanted him with every little part of my body. I knew that when I was fully in shape, I would throw myself at him without hesitation, but that was for later...
We returned home with a healthy, laughing baby. Everyone wanted to see the little successor. The women of the pack wanted to help with little Eden. That was the name Ethan named our son.
This is how the pack of the strongest Alpha gained another, possibly even stronger Alpha, who will rule the next generation of wolves. But his story will be for another time.
