As a school bus was riding across the bridge and onto the entrance of metropolis city, haven lawven can be seen gazing out onto the stary night of the famous city in the US.

It was here that people knows to be safer then they knew, as it is the very home of one of earth's up and coming hero. Superman. The man of tomorrow. It was that very title that haven read from a news paper published by the daily planet. He recalled back to the time that no one was able to get an actual interview with superman. No other news reporter couldn't get an interview with superman, all except one certain reporter. Lois lane.

Lois lane for example seems to be on every news company radar, as they have tried getting her to set up an appointment with the man of tomorrow through her... However, haven didn't care for the slightest as to who she is, for he truly did not know her.

While he was reminiscing, haven was occupied with himself in a deeper thought until someone tapped on his right shoulder. Turning his head to the side, haven saw that it was one of the students that goes to the same middle school as he does.

"Hey haven, what's up!" The Dirty blonde hair girl spoke.

The girl was about to speak once more, until someone from behind bumped into her from behind on accident, causing her glasses to fall off of her head. Luckily, haven with a quick reaction reached out and caught it in time.

Before he could hand it over, haven first wiped the lenses clean with his grey t shirt, afterwards when he gave it back, the girl gladly accepts it.

"Try to be aware of your surroundings faey'r." Haven told the girl as he knows that she can sometimes be clumsy. But as he told his head to the side, he saw that there weren't many opened spot for her. "Do you need a seat?" Haven said asking her.

Her eyes lit up slightly at the offer, and faeyr couldn't help but nod in response. "Yes please, that's actually one of the reasons why I came here for!" Replied the girl as she was relieved to hear him offer her the other opened spot.

"Here, you can take that other spot, there's only two emptied ones anyway." Said haven as he scooted over closer to the window.

"Thank you so much!" Said a pleased faeyr as she took a seat near him.

"Can I join you guys as well!" A boy said popping from the side.

"Kevin, I thought you already have one?" Says faeyr as she had saw him take one earlier before the start of their trip.

Kevin rubbed the back of his head at that, faeyr was right about that. "Yeah, but I gave it up for those two girls!" Replied Kevin as he pointed at where his previous spot is.

Both haven and faeyr looked over their seats to where Kevin was gesturing to, from their spot, the two saw a duo of special needs students and one teacher helping them out.

"Oh! I see." Uttered haven as he could feel that faeyr understood the reason as well. "Yeah, I don't see the problem. You can take a seat, what about you fae, you okay with him sitting next to you?"

"Yeah, why not." Faeyr says feeling no problems with it. "Hold on, can you hand me my bag down there!"

"Sure no problem." Said Kevin who did so without no hint of refusal.

After a few minutes had passed by, the trio of kids soon converse with one another in a conversation. They spoke of minor things such as their favorite foods and places to go to, even during their upcoming summer vacations.

From behind the school bus, multiple people were honking on the alarm of their vehicles as it Blairs up once awhile... Those of the students looked out the window, and what they saw were numerous cars, metro busses and various of other vehicles, all of which were stuck in places.

The teachers noticing the kids staring out the window tried to order them to get back on their seats and sit down, sadly, they were ignored, especially since they couldn't be heard throughout the blaring noises transpiring around the area of the two school buses.

Haven, alongside faeyr and Kevin couldn't figure out the reasons as to why there's such a loud and ongoing commotion happening in this small part of the town. Kevin on the other hand Remarked as to why they were stuck, faey'r made a comment as to why they seemed to be stuck in the middle of traffic.

Haven, seeing that they wouldn't move for awhile just stood up from his sea and rolls down the window on his side of the seat. As he does, he moved his head out of it and looked outside to get a better and clear view of the situation.

"We may be having an issue here guys!" Spoke haven as he can see that the issue at hand will be prolonged for quite some time.

"I can see that, the whole road is blocked. Man I wish I hadn't went with this field trip!" Muttered Kevin in reply to haven's comment.

"I don't blame you kevin." Responded faeyr as she too was in agreement with his statement. "Hopefully this will all end very soon."

"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news guys, but I'm afraid it won't be very so-

*BOOM*

About sixty yards from the two school buses are, one of the vehicles, a black chevron truck had suddenly exploded out of nowhere. People that were walking in sidewalk near it had suffered some minor injuries due to it. Vehicles around the burning either effected by it as their alarms all traversed due to exploding car.

"What the hell was that!" A shocked faeyr spoke out in alarmed as she and the rest of the passengers watched the event play our.

"I do not know, but I think something bad is about to happen again!" Haven says as he and the two was interrupted by the lead person of the school trip.

From the center of the buses seats, a single person who was the principal walked while having to check in on the students to make sure they were all alright... As she does, the woman then stopped in the middle and began to speak out to all of the people inside the bus.

"Listen up kids, we need to all remain calm. I and the other teachers will make sure to take you all to a safer place. Michael! Stay inside, and do not leave the bus yet!" The principal spoke out to the kid as he was about to rush out the door.

Michael, one of the students, a rebel of his school halted in his steps as he then spoke out in reply to her. "But Ms. Danielle, we are literally stuck in the middle of traffic!"

"His right Ms. Danielle," A girl added in as she looked back at the principal. "Look out, traffic is bad and we can't go anywhere!"

"They ain't wrong Ms. Danielle. We won't be able to move any further... We're basically stuck." The bus driver says adding in his cent on the matter.

"I know that. We can't be sure if it is safe for us to take move the kids yet." Replied Danielle for she too was unsure if it's a good idea.

"If things goes bad, I'm bouncing." A student commented as he didn't want to die in a bus full of kids.

"It's not safe for you, but I do agree with what you said." Kevin told him in agreement with the boy statement.

"For once you agree with me four eyes." The boy said glad someone was set in with him.

"Hey look! There's something over there!" A student spoke out gaining the attention of the nearby teacher.

"What is it kailey?" A Teacher asked wanting to know who or what it is.

Outside of the said girl's side of the window, everybody notices a figure floating midair above a four story building. About twelve feet below it was a couple of people frantically running away from two other flying figures.

"Who is that?!" Questioned Kevin as he faeyr and haven watched the floating figure opening his arms down to the police officer that shot at him.

One to two and three shots made a clear land on the flying figure, unfortunately one of the same figure dashes from the left side and tackles the officer as it then ripped one arm of the cop. Those close to the building gasped out in both shock and fear as more people began to move away from building.

After the cop had his arm ripped off, the large being that tore his limb off then flew up and away from the roof of the building while being carried away all as he screamed in agony. Then suddenly after the cop was taken, couple shots transpired whereas people started to freak out due to the current situation.

"Bob, can you drive us out of here!?" Principal Danielle asked him hoping that he can do so for she was worried, not for herself but for she and the teachers are solely responsible for the safety of the kids.

Bob, the bus driver looked at both sides from left to right. At each side, multiple cars were being vacated by the people riding it. Families along with their fathers and mothers and kids all fled the road, as they couldn't get anywhere due to traffic being worst then they thought.

Cops did their best to get the civilians to safety, as far as they can from the sudden attacks by this flying beings mixed with flesh and gold metals around their bodies.

"I can't get anywhere without us being stuck in traffic Danielle." Responded the bus driver thinking that walking on foot is the only option at that point.

Danielle walked towards the front of the bus and stared out into the opening. To their front, a good numbers of vehicles seemed to have really blocked every directions her eyes sees... Even to every sides of the school busses had nowhere else to turn to or exit that is.

Although, on the bottom line, driving out of their current situations was not the only problem. Danielle along with everyone else within the bus saw many of the other flying beings going from one place to another, their Grey's was clearly that of the civilians, whether if it's animals or people, or mainly humans that is.

The beings that were flying here and there with their captures prey weren't even humans. No, they were of creatures who resembles that of a gargoyles imbued with metals, who's eyes are covered with red glasses that are shaped in a round circle. And when haven zoomed in on them even further, he noticed their skins to be dark green. Their wings were about twice their own sizes as it spread out fully at a width of nine feet long.

Unsurprisingly, it was not only for show, for when a couple of officers shot at one of the flying creatures, they used their own wings to shield themselves with it. Their wings seemed to have hold off fairly well against 9mm bullets. However, as durable as it was, when one of the cops started using an assault rifle he pulled out of his trunks, the flying creature lost focus of itself when the M4-Assault-Rifle landed nearly seven shots on it.

After one of its brethren had fallen to its death, the flying monster close by immediately flew after the one responsible for its death. The officer seeing the incoming monster quickly change his target and began shooting at the flying monster. Unkbeknown to him, a second one of the beasts cane from the left side and hits him where his ribs would reside.

Just from the strike alone causes the officer to be sent rolling six feet from where he once stood. With the impact alone made the cop lose nearly all sense of his bearings. The strike alone made him rethink his life choices, sadly he didn't have enough time to react when one of the wing creatures were seen flying midair uptop of him. Trying to reach for where his pistol was, the cop attempted to get a grab at it until the monster swooped down and got a hold off him and flew off into the same direction it's brethren went to.

"We need to get out of here!" One of the students says in panick as she was breathing quite heavily.

Others like that of her age too agreed with her statement. They were also in a state of frantic and fear, especially for their own life. They've seen what those monsters were doing to the people they've taken. And they all understood that it wasn't anything pretty at all.

"What! Are you kidding me! Look out at what's going on Bailey! We're better at staying in the bus!" One of the other kids said responding to the girl's comment.

Faeyr who was one seat behind the girl spoke up in reply to bailey's ludicrous comment. "Are you kidding me Bailey, look out at what's on, we're better at being safer in here whether then being out there!" Says faeyr thinking of how foolish she was for suggesting that.

Bailey when hearing that coming from faeyr stood on her seat with both knees and replied back to faeyr in a mere grievance. "And how faeyr do you suppose we get to safety, take a look around us, we'll soon be taken by those monsters! We cannot stay here be food for them!"

Meanwhile, as faeyr and bailey were conversing with each other, haven on the other hand glanced out at where he could see various people running for cover and finding any place they can from fear of having to be takened by the sudden appearance of the monsters that are terrorizing the small town of metropolis.

As he was taking in the scene, haven suddenly picked up on bump from uptop of the school bus roof. The occurrence cause those of the students and adults alike to let out a resolution of screams believing that one of the creatures had landed ontop of the bus.

"Oh my god, oh my god. It's them!" One school girl Muttered underneath her breathe fearing for what'll come. "What are we going to do!?"

Kevin reached forth and comfort her earning a little bit of hearty smile from the girl as she smiles in thanks to him. "It's okay, I'm sure we'll be fine, alright. Everything will be fine." Kevin says to the girl as he hoped that superman would save them.

Everyone seems to have quieted down after one of the monsters had made land uptop of the bus's roof... Then moments after that, it started walking to the side with each sounds of it's heavy footsteps as it left decent size dents. Bailey when noticed the monster stopping uptop from where she is made sure to keep quiet. Believing she would be safer if she stayed quiet, she was poorly mistaken when from her side of the window was shattered into pieces as one of the monsters grotesque arms reached forth and grabs her by the edge of her long sleeve shirt.

Those of the students shocked by the surprising event let out a cry of shock at what had just happened. However, Ms. Danielle, the principal tried to come at the rescue of Bailey. But sadly the grip the monster had on her shirt was far stronger then hers, even her own strength couldn't match up to the monster's own. The two had a match of a tug of war, the winner was evantually showed when the monster's performed one simply pull that caused the right sleeve of bailey's shirt to be ripped apart, with this, Ms. Danielle fell back on her rear making her let out a yelp.

Thinking that this was it for her, Bailey still did her best to hold onto the arms of faeyr and haven.

Haven on the other hand could've easily dealt with the monster. But due to being surrounded by the eyes of those in the bus, he didn't wanted to expose himself... However, he did have one thing in mind, and had hoped it'll work, even when he knows it was stupid.

"Faeyr! Keep holding onto her!" Going down with it, haven Surprised those near him as he opened his side of the window and began climbing outside and closes it once again.

"What the hell is that idiot doing!?" Kevin spoke out in the thought of haven's irrational decision.

"I Don't know, but help out will ya!" Faeyr responded as she too was in on what Kevin said about haven's stupid choice.

Kevin along with two other students and Ms. Danielle came forth whereas they joined in holding onto bailey's arms in order to keep her from being taken by the monster.

In the meantime, when haven made it out, he immediately grab hold the monster's right leg, however, he had no good leverage just from standing and holding, and so he went through with a different solution. Grabbing ahold of the creature's wing, haven began squeezing it.

Angried by the pest of a child that caused him the irritating pain, the parademon let go of one hand while holding on tightly to bailey's other arm. With each swipe of its free arm, the parademon wanted to get rid of haven, sadly, somehow it wasn't able to land a great hit on him. However, haven was caught off guard when another parademon flew from the top and landed ontop of the bus's roof just near him.

Once the parademon had its sight on haven it without a moment grabbed him around his right forearm, this left haven with a undecided issue since he now has one of each arms holding onto the two foes.

He could barely hold on tightly, for he didn't wish to expose himself infront of everybody in the bus. Within a second attempt, haven performed an unpredictable act of unforeseeable choice by digging his fingers into the bones of the monster that held onto Bailey. As his hands felt the surface of the parademon's leg, he without a hesitation broke it earning an earful shreek from the monster. With this act of willingness, the parademon let go of the screaming Bailey and set it's rage on haven.

When it does stared angrily at haven, it's wings spreads outward as it's other brethren did the same. With it, both parademons flew up with haven in their grasps... Those of the students, teachers and principal Danielle couldn't do anything at the moment but watches as the two parademons flew up and away from the scene.

Haven P.O.V.

The two parademons were on the way to a building, unaware of the fact that haven wanted them to take him away so that everyone in the school bus wouldn't see what he was about to do.

The parademon with the broken ankle ignored the pain that haven performed on him. It could've killed haven if it wanted to, but due to its main mission, the same mission all of its fellow parademons were set on, which was to take their selective captures and wait for a portal to appear.

Their main mission was to take as many victims as they want and put them into a organic like machine, in which their prey's would be turned out into monsters just like them. However, for that to happen, the invasion would have to be set into commence.

Sadly there was one issue,which is that one of their fellow parademons was discovered by an earthling back in one part of the world, which was none other then the Gotham city. Not only that, their brethren, the one tasked with invading that city was killed in the course of his mission only to failed.

Once that brethren of theirs had fallen, the entire parademons around the world were all alerted, which in turn they've all come down to one crucial decision, which was to start their first attack. By kidnapping as many victims as they can and turning them into grotesque monsters like them.

However, in an unsurprising moment, haven had finally made his move by completely tearing the parademon with the broken angle legs off, separating it from the rest of its body. The other one from his right saw the boy dismembering it's brethren screeches out in anger and pitched in metal claws aiming for haven's head. Unfortunately, haven expected it and utilize a straight punch to its right side of the face.

Other parademons saw this and immediately flew after haven. Unfortunately for them, haven made one move that blinded them for a short amount of time.

"Solar Flare!" Uttered haven as he spread his arms out.

A Large enough light the size of a small baseball stadium appeared in the middle of the metropolis city. The light was so intense that nearly everyone within the city saw it only to be blinded by it, while some small percentage of the people were lucky enough to have block their faces from it, while some was just unaware of it.

"Ohh crap, I can't wait any longer!" Uttered haven.

This technique of his could only last up to about a few more seconds, and so haven flew around while taking out the parademons that were flying with their victims in hand. Within each and every seconds, haven made sure to free as many people as he can all the while thinking about one certain scout in blue.

"Where the hell is superman!?" Haven said thinking to himself as to where the blue scout might be while the people of his city is being kidnapped.

Although as great as his effort was of rescuing civilians, haven was in a rather urgent matter, his disguise. He had to find something to hide his face from being caught by anyone in the city, especially the blue boy scout... Lucky for him, there was only one thing, a mask.

As he landed ontop of a building, haven reached back for his backpack and zipped it opened. Inside it was a mask, this one wasn't anything special, as he had bought it off an online website to use it as part of his cover up. He didn't have any hero costume but that of a grey sweat pant and a black hoodie the size of a medium one.

He understood that many like that of superman all have this tight spandex hero costumes, he on the other hand didn't have any for it wasn't really his thing, seeing as he much prefers sweatpants and a hoodie to hide his features. As he slipped his mask on his face, haven then tossed his backpack into the side and pulled his hoodie on over his head.

Once he was finished preparing, haven flew off and into the sky to start his fight against the flying monsters.

When he near the first parademons, haven blast it into smitherins with an energy blast. The other ones close by came towards him in groups of three and haven led them throughout the air, in an surprising move, haven maneuver out of one monster's reach and clocked it's head off its body, a second one came from behind and sliced it's claw him, reacting on time, haven brought his right arm up and blocked the strike and planted his left palm flat on the parademon's abdomen.

All the monster did was roar at his face and haven without a care of it released one energy blast that blowed right through the parademon's torso... Haven did not stop there as he hovered up I'm midair, from below him at three hundred feet, haven saw the two school bus's that the people from his home resided in. Not stopping any moment later, he swooped down surprising those of the monsters terrorizing the civilians.

Taking down one parademon after another, haven was unsure of the reason as to why these monsters aren't killing the victims they were all taking in hand. Although that didn't mean they didn't have the guts to do so. The police officers that tried defending the city were all either killed for their retaliation while some outright abandoned their duty and fled for their own safety.

Haven didn't blame them of that outcome as he joined in on aiding the ones that fought back. However for that to happen, he has to bring down as many of this monsters as he can.

Slowly over time, haven was able to clean out the parademons over one part of town he was dealing with. Knowing that things seems to not be over, haven closes his eyes. This may have been strange for many but havenThis may have been strange for many but it was one of haven's various techniques of his own. It allowed him to search for any known energy forces if he focuses on it deeply. And as he does so, he picked up on one source right underneath in underground of the entire city of metropolis.

Once he opened his eyes, haven was met with an officer standing four feet away from where he is.

"To who may you be young man?" The officer spoke arms crossed as he stared down at the masked figure.

Deciding to come up with a name, haven found one and spoke of it knowing it'll sound oddly strange to the cop. "Ummm, you can just call me grey." Say's haven while in his mind he was berating himself of the ridiculous fake surname.

The cops brow furrowed at that as he knew full well that was not the masked figure's actual name. However, he also was aware of a certain individual hero that goes around calling himself after a made up name. One that everyone in the metropolis city calls him after.

"Look, I can go around the city and try my best in fending off any remaining members of this creatures. However I'm unsure of the fact that many of them might still be in hiding." Haven told the officer hoping he was an understanding man.

Sighing to himself, the officer then first looked at his partners and turned his attention back on the masked figure floating midair infront of him. "Alright kid, since superman is nowhere to be seen, we'll agree with you, seeing as how your the only one capable of aiding us against these creatures... How long can you continue on dealing with the issue at hand?" Asked the officer certain the masked individual would adhere to his words.

Unclasping his arms, haven's boots landed on ground and nodded his head down and up in agreement. "I Don't mind that, I'll be sure to do my be-

Just before he could've finished his sentences, both the cop, his fellow officers and everyone on ground overhead a sudden boom transpiring from underneath the ground.

Looking down at the solid floor, haven felt how it rattled at an ongoing state whereas it continued on for awhile. Thinking it was finally over, haven's head turned to where the occurrence originated from... Yards away from where he is, haven saw a manhole flying right off the opened entrance of a sewage, and not even a few seconds later a following explosion happened as the ground area around sewage entrance bursted up in at around sixteen feet.

Just as haven and the officer thought things couldn't get any worse, more and more parademons appeared as they all flew out and up into sky from the entrance they've made.

"Shit!" Say's the cop as he turned on his radio. "This is officer Jake, we have a code red, I repeat we have a code red!"

Immediately acting out of instincts, haven darted towards the various numbers of the parademon's. His first act of defiance was having to shoot two blast of energy attacks that in which took out a couple parademons.

One parademon avoided a stray energy attack from haven and flew forth by striking an opened hit on him just right across his chest only to receive a punch to the head. Following after, haven pointed his arm outwards at it and blasted into a smitherins of flesh and metal. Turning his head at another direction, haven saw a stray of red laser light shooting upward as it took out multiple parademons in its path.

As he flew in midair, haven glances down at where the red laser came from. From below him, he saw individuals exiting the sewage while having to deal with the parademons surrounding them from each direction. One of them, a man in red suit and a lightning on the center of his chest suddenly disappeared from the spot. With this, haven saw the monsters around dropping down like flies as if someone or something was taking killing them from afar. Then one moment after that, the same individual appeared next to a green and black outfitted man who's only main way of hiding was a black mask covering only his eyes.

The one person dressed in black and grey suit with pointed ears strolled towards the three of his comrades and tapped on the shoulder of one hero that haven recognizes. The four of them was dealing with the parademons as they converse with one another all in sync as they defended each other.

Unkbeknown to haven, while he was silently observing the four costume heroes, he was unaware of the fact that a couple of parademon's were flying towards him with their claws and weapons preparing to tear him, in spite of the fact that he reacted moment later, he was able to take out two that came close to him.

He pointed his hand's outwards towards the others and was about to take them out. However, in a surprising show of effort, a figure with bird-like wings flew from the left side of a building's and tore right through the groups of parademons.

"Get off me bastard!" Said the winged woman as she bashes her mace against the monster's face.

She quickly turned her head in time and tilted her head when one parademon misses his target. She was was about ready to fly towards the monster and end it but be small energy of stray light came past few feet's from her side and took out the parademon which in turn blew the monster and most of its brethren for the time being.

Shaera, warrioress of thanagar had expected another one of those hiddened heroes to be the one's that saved her from the trouble, but once her sight landed on the person responsible for that action, she saw that it was just no one but a hooded figure dressed in both black and grey hoodie. She tried to discern who the individual was but failed to do so, seeing as how the person was concealing his face with a mask.

"Who might you be stranger!?" Shaera Inquired with her hands still wrapped around the hilt of her mace. She didn't trust the person even though he helped her just a moment ago.

"Grey." Haven said responding all the while as he returned the same stared back at the winged woman.
