The silence that followed the confession was defending.
It made the empty public park feel like a private place, and Camelia began to think that Lucas would no longer speak.
If that were the case, it would be best for her to start heading back. That was why Camelia stood up.
But just as her feet contacted the ground, Lucas spoke up.
"Master, ugh, it feels weird saying that word out loud now, but what will you do anyway? You always said that you lived because you had a duty. Do you still-"
Lucas did not finish speaking his sentence before he fell quiet.
Camelia had never told Lucas or the others about her specific duty. She had only told them that it was related to the apocalypse and that it was important for her to carry it out for as long as she was alive.
"Don't worry about it. I no longer have any need to take over that duty since I already died once. You can rest assured that I won't be in danger anymore."
