The system buzzed in as soon as the pair touched the ground. And since Zayne still looked a little out of it, Camelia answered the call instead.
"We are fine. The gate to this place opens on a cliff, so only one person can enter at a time. Be careful when you enter as well."
Camelia's answer caused the people on the other side of the com to go quiet. No one had expected her to speak up when they had called their captain.
From experience, they knew their captain was extremely tense on missions and prone to punishing those who strayed from the line.
And Camelia had made such a basic mistake.
Their captain hated it when someone else answered his call for him. He had snapped at his subordinates more time than they could count for this. So, they were also sure their boss would snap at his fiancé for this.
