Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Pre-Battle Preparations, Infinite Bullets AK!

Previously, no matter how much evil Black Snake committed, many players dared not voice their anger out of fear.

But now, when he targeted Ryan, a lot of people stood up and berated Black Snake.

It's important to note that this channel operates under real names, which carries the risk of retaliation from Black Snake. Yet many players chose not to remain silent, Ryan had provided them with crucial support all along. They would not allow Black Snake to kill Ryan!

Ryan watched as, in an instant, many people started @ mentioning him. Some urged him to run, others warned him not to go to the designated location, and a large number even wanted to give him the few remaining materials they had to help him as much as possible.

Ryan lifted his head and took a deep breath. "Black Snake, do you see this? This is the will of the people, you can't defeat me."

Soon, he also appeared in the channel.

[Ryan: Since Black Snake wants to meet me so badly, how could I not show up? Rest assured, I will arrive at the designated location before sunset today.]

[Also, for those who want to provide me with materials, I appreciate the gesture, but it's unnecessary because dealing with this bunch is a piece of cake for me.]

After saying that, Ryan closed the panel. There was no change in his expression, he was confident that, with his current strength, taking on Black Snake's gang would be a walk in the park.

Once Ryan responded, it stirred up even more chaos in the channel, and many people couldn't remain calm.

[Ryan, you actually agreed? This is clearly a trap, how can you just walk into it?]

[Sigh, Ryan is just too loyal. He is a true gentleman, a real saint, he is the hero of all players.]

[That's right! Even though Ryan knows how dangerous it is, he still chooses to face it head-on to save his friend and dog. That's the difference in character, isn't it?]

In the hearts of many, Ryan's image became even more heroic and towering, while Black Snake drew even more disdain.

[Black Snake: Hehehe, since you say it's a piece of cake to deal with me, my men and I will be sure to welcome you properly.]

[Black Snake: I'll be live-streaming in the channel when the time comes. Ryan, see you then.]

Black Snake coldly responded in the channel, stating that he would live-stream the battle for all players to see!

Countless people silently worried for Ryan.

"Alright." Ryan said, his hands on the steering wheel. With just over two hours until evening, he wasn't afraid of showing up, but he was a cautious person. There was one last thing he needed to do before that.

Ryan glanced at Black Snake's location and saw they were on the other side of the city. To reach them, he would have to pass through the bustling commercial district, where the number of zombies was at its highest.

But Ryan merely smiled nonchalantly. "Perfect, this location is right along the way to where I was planning to go."

He had been driving on the highway toward the commercial district, and he was still short of about fifty zombie essences. In the bustling area, he could easily collect them.

Before heading into battle against Black Snake's gang, Ryan decided he needed to craft the infinite bullets AK-47!

"Hehe, Black Snake, I have a grand gift for you."

In the commercial district.

This area was almost a no-go zone for players because the closer one got to the city center, the more zombies there were, and the higher the death rate. There was even a chance of encountering special zombies like the Butcher.

Additionally, Ryan was well aware that there was a powerful boss lurking in this instance, likely right in the city center.

So Ryan didn't dive straight into the heart of the city, he just needed to find a place with enough zombies to satisfy his essence requirements.

"This is it." Ryan quickly drove to a block where desolate, crumbling streets were filled with countless zombies wandering aimlessly. The moment they sensed a living person nearby, they became frenzied and surged toward Ryan's car!

"Here we go." Ryan scanned the area and noticed there were at least thirty zombies, with more spilling out from the surrounding shops—there were far too many to count.

He focused his eyes and slammed the car into the horde of zombies, like a bowling ball crashing into pins. Countless zombies were sent flying, and the sounds of flesh tearing filled the air.

With that collision, no fewer than ten zombies were left bloodied and mangled on the spot. Afterward, Ryan drove a short distance, leaving a streak of blood behind. He stopped, got out of the car, and turned back, holding the menacing AK-47 in his hands.

Ryan aimed the gun at the dense horde of zombies in front of him and opened fire without hesitation.

"Rat-tat-tat!" Sparks flew from the muzzle, and the gun trembled in his hands. Against the firepower of the AK, the zombies fell like grass being mowed down.

Before long, Ryan had cleared a space in the street, with zombie corpses littering the ground. The battle was declared over.

In the face of such firepower, the zombies stood no chance!

"Clean up the battlefield." Ryan set down his gun, the AK's ammunition was down to single digits. He needed to gather all the dropped materials and zombie essences before any other zombies arrived.

After half an hour of hard work, Ryan wiped the sweat from his brow. "Mission accomplished."

[Zombie Essences ×135]

[Horn ×1]

[Iron ×167]

[Wood ×289]

[Leather ×75]

[Gunpowder ×85]

...

Ryan looked at his backpack and broke into a satisfied smile. After the earlier slaughter, he had not only gathered a hundred zombie essences but even exceeded that number.

The other resources were plentiful as well. Additionally, after killing a zombie, he had surprisingly obtained a rare item—a horn.

"Hm... not completely useless after all." Ryan organized his backpack and immediately returned to his car to pull out the workbench. "Alright, no time to waste. Let's craft the infinite bullet AK-47!"

He placed the AK-47 on the workbench and proceeded to add 100 zombie essences.

[Consuming AK-47 ×1]

[Consuming Zombie Essences ×100]

[Crafted: Infinite Bullet AK-471 ×1]

A golden light shone brightly, and Ryan excitedly looked at the AK in his hands. It now appeared as if it had been coated in gold, and it felt even more comfortable to grip.

Ryan knew that this gun not only had infinite bullets but would also never wear out or depreciate. The only downside was that this gun could only be crafted once.

But regardless, Ryan now possessed a weapon that could change the game.

He placed the gun in the passenger seat and smirked coldly. "Alright, Black Snake, I'm on my way to see you."

In a ruined building.

This place served as the stronghold for Black Snake's gang and had been set up with meticulous ambushes!

On the second floor, Black Snake and a few of his core subordinates were gathered together.

"Black Snake, do you really think Ryan will come even knowing it's a trap?" one of the younger members asked uncertainly.

Black Snake chuckled. "Don't worry about that, we'll be fully prepared. By the way, have all the brothers equipped their crossbows?"

The younger member immediately replied, "Yes, everyone's geared up! With such great equipment, all the brothers are really excited!"

Even in Black Snake's gang, only core members had previously used crossbows. Most others relied on knives, guns, and clubs. It was all thanks to Black Snake scavenging a large stash of resources from other players in the channel that now everyone in the Black Snake gang had a crossbow.

Black Snake nodded happily. "Great! With over a dozen of us equipped with bows, even if we shoot randomly, we'll turn Ryan into a porcupine!"

The younger member asked again, "Boss, should we move the two hostages to the second floor as well?"

Black Snake waved his hand dismissively. "No need. I want Ryan to see them with his own eyes. Right now, my only worry is that Ryan might not dare to show up."

Black Snake stood up and walked to the window, looking out. The ruined building had no actual windows, just a vacant opening.

His gaze grew distant, filled with a hint of concern. The trap he had set was too perfect, and it made him worry. If Ryan was a normal person, he wouldn't walk into a death trap willingly.

Meanwhile, the live stream that Black Snake had mentioned was now up and running, with many viewers pouring in, the audience numbers rising by the hundreds.

[Did Black Snake really go live? Have they set a trap for that badass Ryan?]

[Damn it, Ryan, please don't come!]

[Exactly! Even if it means breaking the agreement, I sincerely hope Ryan doesn't show up!]

Unbeknownst to everyone, a vehicle resembling a land tank was speeding toward the building from miles away!
