On the first floor, Leo was incredibly despondent. He kept praying in his heart, "Ryan, please don't come."
He had witnessed the entire ambush set up by Black Snake's gang. As a professional archer, he knew that Black Snake had accounted for every possible shooting angle.
"I remember Ryan only has a hunting rifle and a compound bow. With just that, he's essentially walking into a death trap." Ryan shook his head.
In contrast to his despair, Buddy, on the side, never lowered his head. Instead, he continued to let out low growls, as if he understood everything happening around them. Every time a member of Black Snake's gang passed by, Buddy would bark loudly.
"It seems I'm less courageous than a dog. Oh, forget it, you're a wolf." Leo forced a bitter smile. The gloom on his face deepened as time went on.
Before long, half an hour had passed.
The sun set, and dusk began to fall.
