Chaos, destruction, and slaughter are the only things that can describe what is happening in this land, once filled with laughter, happiness, and beauty, now turned into an area of burial. A place that can now only be remembered in the memories of people; those laughs have turned into agonizing cries, once covered by tears of joy, now submerged in seas of sorrow.
Those majestic castles have turned to dust, bodies lying everywhere, some waiting for death, some begging for mercy, or at least for their families to be spared, but nothing changes except for the scene of flying heads.
In this chaotic moment, a group of five are running for their lives. Their attire indicates they are the noble people in this world. The group consists of a man and woman, two young girls, and a newborn baby. The man is running, holding both young girls, while the woman carries the newborn baby.
They are protecting the children with the remaining energy they have; their bodies are painted with red blood, reminding them this is their limit, but that doesn't stop them from their duty of safeguarding their children.
"Cassandra, we have to keep moving; we can't stop here. Even if we die, we can't let our children be captured by them, especially him." The man said, looking at the newborn boy. He tried to motivate his wife; he knew she needed it the most because they were reaching their limit. If they fell here, who knows what would happen to their children?
The lady nodded, looking at him, gripping the baby tightly. As she gazed at her son, a flood of emotions surged within her. She wanted to give this child the best life, to watch him grow, and to hear him utter his first word. But now all those expectations and joys lay shattered. She didn't even know if she ever had the opportunity to hear him call her mother."
Tears streamed down her face as she confronted the possibility of never having a future with her children. The cruelest curse a mother can endure was now written in Cassandra's fate. After running for a long time, they reached a dead end; all paths ahead were blocked. They were surrounded by their enemies." Michael, what should we do? Do we have to use that?" the woman asked anxiously, her voice stuttering."
No, that should be the last option. We are not going to die; believe me, and don't forget what your husband can do." He gently cupped her face, wiping away her tears, and offered a reassuring smile. He handed the two young girls to her and unsheathed his sword." I think we should dance a little," he said, gazing at the sword that had accompanied him since childhood, his partner in all the battles throughout his life.
"Fuck, no matter how many times I see them, I can't shake this creepy feeling." looking at the ones responsible for all that happened around him.
The enemies, or dreadminds, had gray, bulky bodies, their veins bulging tightening around their bodies like ropes. They had a single dark eye in their chests, no nose, ears on their soldiers, thorns for teeth, and a large head.
"Even though they are creepy and ugly, these dread minds are weak individually. But right now, neither Cassandra nor I have much energy to fight all of them. If their leader comes, it will be the end for us. If we have to end it quickly, we must merge our attacks." He quickly explained his plan to his wife, preparing for the assault in his mind.
Even though this would drain all their energy, it was their best shot at escape. The dreadminds charged, hurling hammers and spears imbued with dark energy toward them.
"FROST DOMAIN!" Cassandra yelled, holding her children and covering their faces with her robes. Instantly, ice of silver shade began to materialize around them, creating a giant castle with an extra-thick layer of ice protecting them in the center.
In front of the castle stood two giant cannons aimed at dread minds. The canons began firing ice projectiles, and lotus-like ice flowers sprouted everywhere, unleashing ice beams. If a dreadmind stepped into one of those flowers, it would turn to stone, the blast shattering their icy bodies. One by one, the dreadminds turned into crystal dust."
I think this is my limit. Michael, I don't have any resonance left to use my abilities." She gasped, struggling to breathe, her body turning the same color as the frost.
Michael enveloped her tightly with his body, and a golden, sparkling barrier enveloped them, calming their spirits. After a minute, her body turned to its natural color. She looked at her husband, her eyes moist, wearing an expression she didn't want their children to see.
"We have nowhere to run," Michael said. Our home, our clan, everything is destroyed, and it's only a matter of time before they devour our planet. How can we save our children?" Her hope was shattered. There was no light left in her eyes, but she still wanted to believe there was a tiny chance they could survive and live happily.
But all of that hope crumbled as the one they drew appeared. The leader of the dreadminds was cloaked in a purple dress; only the black eyes are visible. Michael's entire world turned upside down; the air crackled with tension as his unsheathed sword glowed with brilliant golden light. "Cassandra! he called, urgency lacing his voice.
"Take the children and run! Don't look back!" Her eyes widened with fear, but a spark of resolve ignited within her. She nodded, grabbing their three little ones, her heart racing. As she turned to flee, she found she could no longer move .Her feet were enveloped by black mists, the same color as the enemy's eyes.
Michael hastily slashed his sword toward the enemy, and the golden light began to behave unpredictably. It glowed brighter, and a tornado fromed, swirling toward the foe, merging with the remnants of ice from Cassandra's earlier attack. He thought this would hold the enemy off for some time, but their belief shattered once again. With a flick of his wrist, the leader of the dreadminds stopped the attack without taking a single step.
Despair washed over their faces; they were not powerful enough to save their children, their family, or their planet. The monsters smiled menacingly and advanced toward them.
There is always a saying that if you don't stop believing in yourself, that hope or belief will form miracles for you. Even if it takes time, it will come, and that miracle came for them.
Suddenly, the sky cracked open, revealing something within that fractured expanse. The sight distracted the monster for just a moment, and that was enough for them.
Both Michael and Cassandra leaped at him after instructing something to their children, and the young girls holding their brother jumped into that unknown cracked region.

A young injured girl ran with a baby; the baby was oblivious to what was happening around it. After a long flight, she finally found a place. She placed the baby in front of a door, tears streaming down her face." Please, live well, young master."
A/N-This is a very important chapter for future events in the novel; it will come as a full circle and connect all the events. Also, I tried writing some novels before, but that didn't work for me. This time, I planned everything for the novel. I am not very good at English, so the writing will not be very advanced, but I will try to write a good story for all of you.
