Alan reached his house, his mind racing with thoughts. He ran towards his bathroom; a bath was the only thing that could calm his mind and body.
How can he stay composed after all the bizarre things that happened to him?
As he settled into his bathtub, the warm water surrounded him like a gentle hug, easing tension in his muscles, which helped him drift into his thoughts.
" Whose voice is that in the rift? How did I suddenly change so much? That monster was so powerful— how did all of us escape from his grasp? For some reason, I am feeling more energetic than before, the pain experienced because my soul completely vanished."
His thoughts spun around, trying to decipher all the unusual things that happened to him.
After a long 45 minutes, he decided to end his peaceful bath and decided to get some sleep before leaving for the orphanage.
His bedroom was simple, with a small bed, a closet for his outfits, and some books for his hobby of reading.
"I guess it's time for me to leave this room, now that Grandma knows about it."He mumbled, looking around at his tiny room. He was only living in this room to lie about his work; he often had to leave at midnight for rift mining, and if he lived in the orphanage, she would have found out. Now that reason was gone, he didn't have any reason to stay here. So he decided to talk with his landlord about all of this and leave from here as soon as possible.
"I would talk to the landlord letter; for now, my bed is waiting for me."
He jumped to his bed only to be kicked by something, sending him crashing into the bookshelves.
"kya! What are you doing pervert?"
In front of him stood a stunning woman, though "stunning" felt like an understatement. Her golden hair was tied back in a ponytail, and she wore a striking red top paired with a black skirt that accentuated her medium-sized bosom and shapely thighs. Slightly shorter than Alan, her doll-like face, with its delicate features, drew him in, while her slim figure added an undeniable grace to her presence. Yet what captivated him the most were her emerald-green eyes; he felt himself getting lost in their depths.
He lost his ability to think for a moment, the only thing that mattered to him now was this girl, his heart beating like it could burst out any moment. He didn't even blink for a moment; in his entire life, he had never come across a woman so extraordinarily beautiful.
"Could you please stop looking at me like you have never seen a beautiful woman?"Her soft voice brought him back to reality from the trance.
"I—I am sorry."
He was about to get up when the woman offered him a hand, helping him to his feet.
"Fuck, she smells so good," he thought."And her hand is so soft."
"Stop thinking weird things."
"what-
Just when he was about to finish his thought, another surprise suddenly landed on him.
"What happened sister?"
He blinked in disbelief; another woman who was as beautiful as the former appeared in his bedroom. This woman had long golden hair flowing to his back and matched the other woman's height perfectly. Her eyes blue like the ocean shone with calmness, but this woman had a voluptuous body with a chubby face.
If the other woman gave a feeling like a proud warrior, this woman felt peaceful.
Alan rubbed his eyes and slapped himself; surely this was some kind of dream. How could anyone's life flip like this?
"It's nothing, Christiana, just our husband behaving like a total pervert."
"Excuse me, Husband, who is your husband?"
There was a sudden silence in the room as both women looked at Alan with a confusing expression.
"Sister, did he hit his head or something?"
"Did you forget Christy? he was in a near-death situation a few days ago.'
Alan listens to their conversation with wide eyes, trying to think how both of them know about his situation and how they entered his house. Suddenly, both the women looked at him with gentle looks on their faces.
"Let us introduce ourselves. My name is Elena and this is my sister Christiana; we are twins."The slim woman smiled as she spoke.
"Nice to meet you, My name is Alan."He bowed and offered his hand for a handshake. After a moment of hesitation filled with tension, Elara suddenly dropped another bomb on him.
"Nice to meet you too—Our Husband!"
"Ooh! How cool, I am your husband."
After a brief pause that felt like an eternity, Alan's brain was struck with an epiphany.
"Wha-,wha--, what the hell? When did I become your husband? You seem to be misunderstanding something; I have never talked with any woman except my grandma. I am a pure holy virgin."
Alan's voice shook slightly as he tried to explain himself, trying to end this misunderstanding.
But their answer again was the same: he was their husband.
"When did we get married? I don't think I have ever met both of you."
"We are not married in your human terms; our connection is special," Christiana explained softly but firmly. "We are bonded by eternity— our marriage is soul marriage."
Again, all of this was too confusing for him. One moment he was going to die but miraculously survived, and now he was married to two of the most beautiful women he had ever seen. It's not like he was sad that he was married— in fact, happiness bubbled within, but everything was so sudden that he had a little lingering doubt that they were trying to scam him.
"We are not lying to you." Elena cleared his doubt
His face was filled with confusion; how did they know what he was thinking?
"We know it's all confusing for you." Elena continued gently. "So please listen to what I have to say."
Her tone held sincerity that made him lean closer.
"Okay," Alan had a serious expression, waiting for their answers.
"Our souls are connected," Elena began. "we don't know the reason why our souls are connected, but when we found you inside the rift, we felt a strong connection in our souls. We are all bound by eternity; if you die, we die—and vice versa. "
