If you turn the number eight sideways, you will see the sign of infinity.
The species from the world of Ciehza believes that the number eight signifies the limitless or eternity.
Others also believe it's a symbol of love and resurrection.
Eight also denotes a new beginning. It represents those connected to God through the Spirit of Life.
That's why, when one of the goddesses shows up in the world of Ciehza, everyone understands that the world is about to be destroyed. But not everyone understands that all the gods and goddesses love them.
"One will be born to destroy this world, but eight will be born to protect it. Yet, even they will not be enough to save this world," said the goddess of the dynasty, looking at the world she once created.
"Our father was devastated by all of you! He gave you life, but no one appreciated it. Some of you made false gods, while others created a toxic atmosphere in this world." As she angrily gazed at them, she gripped her staff tightly.
"As a final mercy, you may continue to live freely, without the wrath of our father, the creator of this world. But none of you will know who will hurt you and who will save you."
"Today, I, one of the children of the world's creator, declare that this world will now belong to me and my siblings—other children of the creator—as a mercy from our father."
Since that day, 44 empires and 34 kingdoms have been established under the guidance of the gods and goddesses: 12 lands for humans, 1 for demons, 8 lands for werewolves, 8 seas for mermen, 10 seas for mermaids, 5 lands for vampires, 6 empires for harpies, 3 for phoenixes, 1 for unicorns, 6 for dragons, 2 lands for griffins, 1 for gnomes, 4 forests and 3 lands for fairies, 3 lands for imps, 6 for pixies, and 74 more lands.
She was running breathlessly through a dark, narrow hallway, her arms swinging as her legs moved faster and faster, terrified that a stalker would catch up to her.
"No... it can't be."
She whispered as tears welled up in her eyes. She was exhausted, unsure of what to do next, but she couldn't stop running. She was too afraid of what might happen if she did.
"Really? Do you think I can't catch up with your clumsy run?" a hooded man said. He held a knife and toyed with it like a professional.
"No… that's impossible," she said, staring in shock at the man in front of her. Her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground.
"It's possible because I—love—you, my dear daughter," he said, kneeling before her. He gazed at her face in awe, then forcefully kissed her.
"Really! You look just like your beautiful mother," he uttered. He stabbed her with both hands so she couldn't move.
He wanted to enjoy his daughter one last time.
"Stop… please," she begged.
Though her body was in pain, it was her heart that hurt more. She couldn't believe the father she had idolized since childhood was doing such horrible things to her.
"Shut up!" he shouted angrily, slapping her face. He smirked as he looked at her.
"It's your mother's fault for leaving me. Don't blame me, my dear daughter," he murmured while kissing her neck.
"Now, be a good daughter to your favorite father," he added.
"I—I don't want to. Please, stop. Stop—"
He stabbed her abdomen twice, silencing her. He laughed as he watched her go quiet.
"Don't annoy me, Emily. You're just like your mother! Acting like you don't want it, but deep inside, we both know you enjoy it," he said, his eyes full of greed. He stabbed her chest three times and removed her pants. He forced himself onto her.
"I guess... this is how I die," she whispered as she closed her eyes.
"It's fine… no one cares about me anymore… I—I wish I'd tried harder so I wouldn't have regrets," she whispered as her heart stopped beating.
"My God... please..."
Emily's life ended at the hands of her father, the man she had adored since childhood. She had always looked up to him, but in the end, he did unspeakable things to her without an ounce of regret.
"I must save that soul," said an unknown voice in the realm of the goddesses.
The speaker addressed another figure, Asteria, the goddess of stars.
"Mother Selene, you know you cannot intervene in the mortal realm. If you do, you will cease to exist," Asteria said, placing a hand on her chest with a caring expression.
Selene, the goddess of the moon, turned away and looked down, her face reflecting sorrow.
"And besides, I don't think Emily would want to live in that world again. She's suffered enough, mother. I don't think she deserves to experience that pain again."
Selene was shocked by Asteria's comment.
"Then what should I do? Should I pretend I don't know about that pitiful child? Should I let her suffer even more betrayal at her father's hands?"
"Mother, what if we send her to that world? I'm sure this time, Emily will be happy," Asteria suggested.
Selene looked at Asteria and smiled. "To that world, huh? It's been a hundred years since I've heard about it. It's peaceful and quiet now. I'm glad all the species there have become good, though some remain a bit mischievous."
"I heard the god of light and the god of darkness sent a soul there, making him the second demon prince. Rumor has it he was a mortal, destined to become the balance keeper of that world. And the god of technology sent a soul he adored, a brilliant scientist from the mortal world."
Asteria spoke energetically, as if suggesting nothing would happen to Selene if she followed the other gods' actions.
"And Goddess Artemis also sent a soul. She said the empire no longer needed a bad emperor. People say the creator spoke to her," Asteria added.
Selene was shocked by what Asteria had said. "So it's true… the Killer God is about to be born."
"Huh? Killer God? What do you mean, mother?" Asteria asked, confused.
"This happened before you became a goddess. There's an ancient prophecy about the so-called Killer God. He is the creator's other half, formed by mistake."
"Before I became a goddess? And it's an ancient prophecy... so it must've happened billions of years ago?" Asteria asked.
"But if it happened billions of years ago, why only now? Isn't it too late? I mean, I'm not saying it should've happened before, but what if it's just a mistaken prediction?" Asteria added.
"Asteria! Don't say foolish things. The creator's predictions have never been wrong. And if this one were wrong, it would be a blessing for us. The Killer God is destined to destroy all of us—gods and goddesses."
"What a blessing in disguise... I'm sorry, my pitiful child. This is all I can do for you. Please, enjoy your new life," Selene added.
Taking Emily's soul, she closed her eyes and gently blew on it.
The goddess of stars did the same, breathing life into Emily's soul.
"I've shared some of my power. Please, take care," said Selene, the goddess of the moon.
"I, too, have given you part of my power, Emily. I hope you find happiness," Asteria added.
"Though you will not receive mercy from the creator—no one sent to that world can—because that is the rule of the universe, I hope you still choose to move forward, my pitiful child," Selene said.
As she sent Emily's soul to another world, Emily felt warmth surrounding her.
"Oh my! The 11th Halfmoon Princess has awakened!"
"Thanks to Goddess Selene!"
"We bow to you, Selene!"
"This is truly a miracle!"
"Call the Full Moon Alpha! Princess Luna has awakened!"
