Chapter 5 - Towre: The four creatures

Loci gazed at the four, curiosity filling his eyes. His hands rested under his chin as he moved forward, pacing in a circle, his feet tracing the shape on the ground.

Walking in a circle, he looked upside down at the four standing in the middle. "You four look so strong. Stronger than me. How can I be your master?" he said, halting his movement.

His feet stopped, and he decided to sit on the ground. He lay back, closing his eyes. "A handsome-looking demon with rainbow horns and long, shiny silver hair. Let's start with you. Who are you?" Loci asked, opening one eye and propping his head up with his hand.

The demon knelt, taking Loci's hand and kissing the back of it. "I'm not a demon, Master. I am the spirit of Fantasy Jail. You can call me by my initials, FJ, unless you wish to give me a name."

Loci pulled his hand back, his eyes widening, his jaw dropping in shock. "Okay, FJ. Now, get out of my sight." He pushed himself halfway up with his arm, yawning as he sat upright.

Looking at the next creature, Loci crossed his arms. "Next is you, the pale-looking kid with rainbow wings and number eight sunglasses."

The pale kid was about to bow when Loci raised a hand. "Wait. Before you speak, let me guess who's next, so I can address you all at once." He scratched his head in mild frustration.

Loci stretched his neck and arms before pointing at the next figure. "Sexy-looking woman with dark circles under her eyes and rainbow hair, you're next after this pale kid."

When the two nodded, Loci turned his gaze to the last creature. "Oh~" he hummed, which made everyone confused. "What a beauty. Who are you?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Master! That's unfair..." the pale-looking kid protested, frowning.

The last creature giggled, covering her mouth with her hand, her shoulders shrugging in amusement. "I'm afraid my siblings will hate me, but if Master wishes to know my name first, then—" She stopped, glancing at her siblings while giggling.

Loci focused on the last creature, waiting for her to finish her sentence. Everyone else glared at her, clenching their hands in frustration. She had caught their master's full attention.

"No! That's not fair!" interrupted the sexy-looking woman, biting her dress as she glared at Loci.

"You can't do this, Master. Please treat us all the same!" she complained, her eyes shooting daggers at the last creature.

"Ah… what a pain," Loci groaned, slapping his forehead.

Meanwhile, FJ, who resembled a demon, clenched his fists, grinding his teeth as he watched the robot—Loci's current body.

Because of their unknown location, Loci was using his former human body, while Nova controlled the robot.

"Hey! Supernova Legend, why is our master acting like this?" FJ asked, his curiosity piqued. Nova glanced at FJ, releasing a smug chuckle as he looked back at Loci.

"Don't ask if you don't want your pride and ego shattered," Nova replied, his voice tinged with amusement.

FJ clenched his fists. "Spirits don't get hurt easily, you jerk of a system!" he snapped, drawing everyone's attention as his voice echoed through the space.

Nova crossed his arms, smiling calmly. "Loci is a human from another world. You all know that, but only Liu bothered to research his world. She did that so she could earn his favor. And it worked. She's the first creature to gain his pure attention and love," Nova explained, smirking as he left FJ to stew.

"You all know that…" FJ's legs trembled as a cold chill swept over him. "Only Liu did the research…" He collapsed to the ground, muttering to himself.

"She did that so the master would like her…" He hugged his legs, rocking back and forth. "I'm trash."

Nova's laughter echoed through the room as he observed FJ's reaction. Loci stood up, stomping toward FJ and shaking his head at Nova's words. "I didn't know you were such a scumbag," Loci said, crossing his arms and glaring at Nova.

"He started it. He should know I'm higher than him," Nova replied, looking at FJ with a smug smile.

Loci slapped his forehead, disbelief washing over him. "I get it, but look at them!" Loci gestured toward the pale-looking kid and the sexy woman.

"You hurt their feelings. Go and comfort them," he ordered, pushing Nova forward toward the others.

"I'm trash. Why didn't I research the master's world?" the pale-looking kid lamented, kneeling and punching the ground.

"I'm so stupid. I should have thought of that," the sexy woman added, biting her dress in frustration.

Nova was stunned by their reactions. He clenched his hand and punched his forehead. Loci grabbed his hand, smirking. "Hey, be careful. That's still my body," he said, glaring at Nova.

"Sorry, but it's not entirely my fault, just mostly my fault, you know?" Nova retorted, pointing at FJ. "He said spirits don't get hurt easily, so why should I care?"

"Ugh! Are you all children? Nova, did you forget why we're here? Just end this already," Loci sighed, his hair disheveled as he slapped his forehead again.

"I think my forehead is starting to hurt," he murmured.

"Wait, I just remembered. Where's my master?" Loci asked, pacing around. "Oh damn! I forgot to ask why I'm using this body." He stopped and turned back to Nova.

He placed a hand on Nova's shoulder. "Explain everything, now!" Loci demanded, his eyes serious.

"Before that, let me introduce you to the other Fantasy Jail Realism spirits," Nova said, brushing off Loci's hand. He walked ahead, pointing to the sexy woman. "This is the Spirit of Infinity Grave. You can call her GI."

Nova continued, moving to the pale-looking kid. He placed a hand on the kid's shoulder. "This is the Spirit of Infinity Mansion. Please call him Mi."

Loci nodded, smiling. Then Nova turned to the last creature. "And that woman with rainbow tails, a pretty face, and a bit of chubbiness? She's the Spirit of Infinity Lock Up. You can call her Liu—"

Nova stopped when he noticed Loci was entirely focused on Liu, clearly entranced. Shaking his head, Nova sighed. "The fourth and final vicinity, Infinity Lock Up, is an area where dangerous individuals are imprisoned. Once locked up, they can't escape. The only way out is if Liu senses that the person no longer poses a threat."

Nova paused, realizing Loci wasn't paying attention, instead daydreaming about Liu. "What a troublesome partner," Nova muttered.
