Nojiko wants to board the ship?
Luffy paused for a moment and asked in confusion, "Wait, how did you become homeless?"
"Don't you remember?" Nojiko extended his arm and pointed towards the distant bombing area. "My house, it was blown up by you!"
Luffy: "..."
In fact, they had a lot of fun yesterday, and some houses were actually blown up.
"Haha, I'm not blaming you," Nojiko smiled brightly. "If sacrificing my home can bring these results, I would make that trade a hundred times over."
"I'm sorry, I'll find a way to help you rebuild a house and let the villagers help," Luffy thought for a moment and said.
Nojiko shook her head and said softly, "The orange orchard is gone too."
Growing oranges was his source of income.
"That orchard belonged to Bellemere. When I was a child, she depended on that orchard to support Nami and me. Although life was difficult at times, we were very happy back then."
She showed a nostalgic expression and smiled, "Last night, I thought for a long time. Maybe this is also a good opportunity. I want to go out and see the world. Luffy, can I join your ship? I can do anything, cooking, cleaning , I'm good at everything!"
She was very optimistic and cheerful.
Luffy smiled and nodded, "Then welcome, Nojiko. Nami will be very happy."
Anyway, he naturally didn't care, the Sunny was empty.
"We'll be leaving soon. Is there anything you need to prepare?"
"Thank you, I need to make some preparations!"
Saying that, Nojiko left happily.
Luffy watched her walk away and turned to Usopp, saying, "Go find Zoro and the others, we're getting ready to leave."
"They were drunk last night."
Usopp sighed and went to find Zoro and the others.
At that moment, the hospital door opened and a village doctor came out.
"Luffy-sama."
"Good morning, doctor. How is Kaya's condition?"
"I am really sorry about that..."
The doctor apologized, saying that he was not skilled enough to do anything about Kaya's condition and that he could not even determine what illness she had.
"Kaya-sama was taking medicine all the time, so I prepared some according to the same proportion."
"How much does this cost?"
"How can I accept your money? You are the benefactor of our village. If I accept your money, the other villagers will destroy my hospital!"
The doctor waved his hands repeatedly, insisting that he would not accept money.
Luffy couldn't do anything, so he accepted this kindness.
He went to the hospital and took Kaya back to Sunny.
Shortly afterwards,
Usopp returned with Zoro, Johnny, and Yosaku, while Nojiko somehow transplanted two orange trees and planted them on the platform at the stern of the Sunny.
"Luffy-sama."
Matt and the other members of the 153rd branch came to say goodbye.
"Captain, our journey has come to an end, we will stay in this village for a few days, waiting for the 16th Branch to arrive. Rest assured, we will never forget everything you did!"
Luffy patted the other on the shoulder and smiled, "Well then, goodbye."
"Yes! May you have smooth sailing and lots of luck!"
After saying goodbye to the Marines, Luffy climbed onto the deck of the Sunny.
At that moment, someone shouted:
"Luffy-sama, can I... can I follow you? Can I follow you?"
Luffy was surprised and turned to look. It was a young Marine, looking at him with admiration and adoration in his eyes.
"You don't want to be a sailor anymore? Do you want to become a pirate with me?" Luffy found this interesting.
"In you, I see the justice I sought when I was young. My hometown was once destroyed by pirates, but you are different! I want to follow you!" The young soldier expressed himself excitedly.
Then another three or five echoed.
"Me...me too!"
"Luffy-sama, can I join your team?"
Matt was also stunned, but instead of stopping them, he smiled as he watched the scene unfold.
Seeing several anxious gazes fixed on him, Luffy shook his head.
"I'm not as fair as you think. If Cocoyasi wasn't Nami's hometown, I wouldn't even come here. Young sailors... I hope you remember this moment and stay true to yourselves."
Rejected, these few sailors were very disappointed, but they still recovered.
"Yes, we will remember your teachings!"
"Well then, goodbye."
The Sunny spread its sails and slowly sailed away from the coast. Behind him, the Going Merry followed suit.
On the coast, the residents of Cocoyasi quickly rushed to say goodbye under Genzo's leadership.
"Luffy-sama!"
"Goodbye, Luffy-sama, have a safe journey!"
"Don't bully Nami too much, come back and visit us!"
On the deck, Nojiko walked up to Luffy with a smile and shouted to the villagers, "Don't worry, I'll be watching him."
"Nojiko...!? How did you get up there?" Genzo was perplexed.
"Haha, goodbye everyone from Cocoyasi Village, I'm leaving on a journey~ Genzo, I'll leave Bellemere's tombstone to you."
Amidst the noisy farewell, the two sailboats gradually disappeared over the horizon.
...
Sunny, Nami's room.
Nojiko sat on the edge of the bed, resting her chin in one hand, silently watching her sleeping sister.
She took a photo out of her pocket and placed it on the bedside table.
In the photo were Bellemere and her two sisters.
A slight collision sound seemed to wake Nami up.
Nami's eyelids twitched, slowly opening her eyes.
"Nojiko?" She spoke softly, stunned.
"Are you awake? You can really sleep, it's already noon. What kind of mischief did you do last night?" Nami's sister Nojiko teased with a smile.
Last night...
Nami blinked her eyes, her face turned red when she suddenly remembered something and tried to sit up.
"Is it noon yet?"
"Yes."
"Ah, I have to cook, Luffy must be starving."
Nojiko: "..."
She quickly pushed her sister back onto the bed and said impatiently, "When are you going to start caring about me like this?"
Saying this, she rolled up her sleeves and said, "I'll cook, you rest well."
"Oh..."
Nami lay there, stunned, and only realized when Nojiko was about to leave the room.
"Wait, why are you here?!"
Nojiko turned around, revealing a tattoo on her right arm that was identical to the one on Nami's left arm.
It was an orange and a windmill.
"You idiot, of course I couldn't be calm about you."
