Chapter 3 - Hectic

Sirius sat back down in his chair full of content as he had witnessed his son regain his position and was no longer called talentless. Elliot was taken to the infirmary for he had stayed stationary for well over 5 minutes after the duel had ended with Vernon already taken there due to his critical state.

[User has used power above their skill level they have taken a step into the realm of Superhuman]

Elliot was awoken due to the glowing system before his eyes and was astonished when he saw his stats.

"Lightspeed? Did Accelerate evolve? How?"

Elliot questioned he saw the new skill on the system window. He made an effort to get up but was struck with pain that felt like tiny strikes of lightning was continually being shot all over his body."AAAAGH" Elliot yelped as the sudden pain left him rolling in the bed he laid. A doctor decked in a white robe and blue under shirt complimented by a pair of black trousers and black shoes stood at the door of the infirmary He came to check on him and was shocked with his mouth slightly agape as he stared at the situation he was witnessing.

"Young Master Elliot... Are you ok?" The frightened man stood as he watched his superior roll about .

"What does it look like you imbecile... Do I look fine to you!!" Elliot forced words out of his mouth which seeped their way into the mind of the doctor who was shocked back to reality he watched Elliot roll.

"Oh my apologies... Forgive me Sir!" The doctor rushed to his aid barely able to keep him still as he force fed him a dark green liquid. "This will help Sir please bear with me.

The doctor felt his Master slowly stop moving and laid still. The doctor checked his breathing and breathes a sigh of relief as he found that he was ok. A few hours later Elliot awoke once more but was stopped by a hand pressing against his chest.

"Ah Young Master you have awoken, it would be in your best interest to not move for the time being your body is currently recovering from the injuries you received." The doctor stood next to the bed where he rested looking down at him with a glimpse of pity which shone from his eyes.

"It seems the Lightspeed skill I saw was due to me stacking Accelerate during the duel... At least it was worth it." Elliot spoke in his mind as he recalled the events up until he collapsed after the duel. Elliot laid back down and watched as the doctor stepped away from where he was and sat down in a chair that rested by the corner of the room. The doctor picked up a book from the table beside him and began reading while periodically checking on Elliot's state.

"By the way what did you feed me, the pain I felt earlier is gone?" Elliot quered as he observed the doctors concerned behavior.

"The liquid you were fed was medicinal herb found in the mountains of the Evonian Empire. The reason you feel no pain is because of it's pain reducing effects." The doctor skillfully recited as he closed his book and stared at his Master.

Elliot felt pleased as he closed his eyes and began searching for ways to heal quickly in turn for his four months departure.

*********

A few moments elapsed with Elliot in a state of trance as he searched his memory he had gained through his dream. "Immortal Breath Control. It seems that I used this to recover from fights... Interesting" he carefully leaned from his place of rest and crossed his legs and began channeling mana through his veins opening his meridians with each breath he took slowly forming a core in the center of his abdomen. "Fooooooo... Elliot exhaled with puffs of glowing gold mana exiting his nostrils that slowly dispersed into the atmosphere.*DING*

[Meridians opened]

[Mana core formed ]

[User's mana has doubled]

[Skill learned Immortal Breath Control]

Elliot opened his eyes with a golden highlight which slowly faded from his eyes but was greeted with a stench so putrid his eyes watered .He scoured his surroundings in search of what carried the horrid smell in which caressed his nostrils but found himself surrounded in pool of black liquid.

"Young Master Elliot, are you ok- What in the hell!! The doctor exclaimed when he awoke from his nap. He held his nose after the black liquid's scent entered his nostrils, "Young master did you open your meridians!" the man exclaimed once more after he had reconised the same black liquid from when the Count when he had first opened his meridians.

"Oh you're here... Yeah I guess i was just practicing breathing while intaking mana" Elliot replied with a nonchalant look on his face as he disregarded the look of shock and awe o the doctor's face. "Oh and I am completely healed now" he added as he sprung up from where he was and exited the infirmary. "Thanks" Elliot smiled as he stepped through door. The doctor stood motionless as he was still processing what he had just witnessed.

"I need to tell the Count!... and clean up this mess." The man stated with urgency as he recovered himself.

*********

A few moments later Elliot arrived at his room door opening it and immediately closing it then rushing to the bath to cleanse himself but was interrupted by two maids standing by the bathroom door.

"We will assist with your bath Young master" the two females said in in unison while approaching Elliot to remove his clothes.

"I will bathe myself today please leave the room" Elliot shrugged the maids' hand away and watched as the entered the bath then exiting a few minutes later ushering him in. "You may leave now." He said with a look of frustration as he felt the black liquid drying on his skin.

*********

On the other side of the Manor in the Count's the doctor which had watched Elliot's change was speaking to his father.

"So you say that Elliot opened his meridians while he was bedridden and by accident at that..." Sirius mused at the fact that his once named talentless son has opened his meridians 'By Accident' he let out a laugh as the words which were spoken by the doctor had peaked his interest in Elliot's sudden change. "Very well then tell Elliot to come to my office" Sirius ordered the head butler Mildred to call for his son.

"As you wish my lord." The butler quietly exited the room and made his way down the halls to Elliot's room.

Elliot exited the bath feeling rejuvenated stretching and yawning as he made his way to his bed and sat basking in the rays of orange gold sunlight which lit up the evening sky. "What am i gonna do now?" He pondered to himself thinking back at the past events.

*Knock knock*

"Who is it?" Elliot's calm demeanor become sullen as he called answered the person present behind the door.

"Count Rue has requested that you meet him in his office immediately." the voice slowly faded after relaying the message it was ordered to.

"Oh come on what can a man do around here to get some rest!" Elliot exclaimed falling flat on his bed from his previous upright position. "It seems i have to g because not answering my father's call is like a death sentence." he murmured as he lazily got ready to meet his father.

A few moments later Elliot arrived in front of his father's office.

*Knock knock*

"Come in" Sirius answered.

"Father you called?" Elliot briskly closed the doors behind him and stood awaiting his father's response.

"I heard that you opened you meridians leaving quite a mess for the servants to clean." Sirius replied turning to his son and placing the book he held in his hand on the desk that he sat in front of. A brief moment of silence passed as both males stared at each other.

"It was merely luck Father. I only tried something that happened to worked" Elliot stood in front of his father with a look of discomfort written across his face. Sirius examined his son then answered.

"Luck you say huh there is no such thing as luck only skill and hard work, none the less I wont ask any further I only called to inform you that the enlistment is in 4 months, you are dismissed." Sirius pointed to the door behind Elliot as he picked the book he was reading before and sat down.

"Ugh... That was suffocating." Elliot spoke to himself after exiting the room. He slowly mad his way about the manor and spotting his mother with visible disgust painted across her pale complexion.
