_Chapter 5: Magical Consequences_
Vivian's firm tone lingered in Aliya's mind.
"Girls, report to Professor Ember's office," Vivian instructed.
Aliya, Red, and Evei exchanged worried glances.
"What did we do wrong?" Evei whispered.
Red shrugged. "Must be about the library."
In Professor Ember's office, the Headmistress awaited.
"Aliya, Red, Evei, you've broken academy rules," Headmistress Everwood stated.
Aliya's heart sank. "We didn't mean to."
Headmistress Everwood's expression softened.
"Curiosity is natural, but reckless behavior won't be tolerated."
Red stepped forward. "We'll accept the consequences."
Evei nodded. "We promise to be more careful."
Headmistress Everwood sighed.
"Detention for one week. No magical practice."
Aliya's disappointment grew.
"No magical practice?" Aliya repeated.
Headmistress Everwood's gaze locked onto Aliya.
"Your lack of powers makes you vulnerable. Focus on theoretical studies."
Naomi's teleportation abilities faltered, sensing Aliya's frustration.
"Aliya, I'll help with studies," Naomi offered.
Red and Evei chimed in.
"We'll study together!" Red exclaimed.
Evei grinned. "No magical practice? No problem!"
Aliya's determination reignited.
"I'll prove myself, even without powers."
During detention, Aliya poured over ancient texts.
"Theory is just as important as practice," Professor Oakwood said.
Aliya's understanding grew.
In the shadows, Orion watched.
"Aliya's resilience will serve her well," Orion whispered.
As the week passed, Aliya's bond with friends deepened.
"Detention wasn't so bad," Evei chuckled.
Red nodded. "We learned together."
Aliya smiled.
"Next time, we'll explore wisely."
The journey continues.
