"Hmm? System? What does it do?"
He asked instinctively.
[Dear host, as long as someone flatters you sincerely, you will be rewarded!]
[Note, you must not give any physical or verbal hints to others to make them brag about you!]
That… sounded overpowered?
The note was concerning but he could work around it.
Cayden felt like he was dreaming.
It was too good to be true.
"Let's see. How do I call it back? System? Menu? Profile? Interface?"
The voice did not return.
Was he scammed?
Did he get a fake system?
"Brother, what are you saying?"
"Nothing. Let's go."
He could only ignore the system for now.
The police station was crowded.
Desks cluttered with paperwork, officers on phones, civilians with nervous expression, and a general atmosphere of urgency.
It was as if a storm was about to arrive.
Cayden approached a police officer.
"Excuse me, we are here for Omen Of Death registration."
"Got it. Stand there in the corner."
The police officer gave an off-handed answer.
It surprised Cayden.
The police should have been panicking by now.
Instead, they ignored him.
"Brother, look. They have the same drawing on their hands."
He followed Hein's gaze and noticed the panicked civilians.
They had '0' Fate Point mark on their hands.
Their numbers, easily surpassing forty, made Cayden grow nervous.
It was rare for people to reach '0' Fate Points without growing old.
Four or five people receiving an Omen of Death together was a big deal.
But forty people at once?
It was impossible unless…
A natural disaster was about to strike.
"Why are you taking so much time!? Can't you see?! I received an Omen of Death! I.. I'm about to die!"
"We understand, sir. But the officers are busy briefing the people who came earlier than you. Please wait in line."
"Wait in line!? I'm about to die and you are telling me to wait in line!?"
The commotion quickly gathered attention.
A group of three people were surrounding a senior police officer.
Watching them, Cayden recalled that civilians had very little information about demonic worlds.
Adding upon that, his brother, only ten years old, had very low chances of survival.
He needed to teach his brother the basics at least.
"Hein, do you know what you should do after you enter the demonic world?"
"Yes! I will follow brother!"
Hein's innocent smile made his heart grief.
His brother, even if he survived, was no longer going to be cheerful again.
At ten years old, he would have to live through a battlefield that even veterans dreaded.
And Cayden couldn't be there for him.
"That's correct! But we won't meet as soon as you wake up there. So what should you do?"
"I'll search for brother!"
"Nope!" Cayden patted Hein. "Don't look for brother. Look for totem poles."
"What about you, brother?"
"I'll look for you so you don't need to worry about me. Okay? When you arrive there, draw your Spirit Talisman. After that, search for totem poles and don't talk to strangers and don't take anything from them and…"
Cayden continued to tell him about the basic info.
He didn't want to overwhelm Hein, lest he forget something, so he only explained the most crucial parts.
Civilians in the police station noticed Cayden.
They slowly gathered around him, listening, and learning as much as possible from him.
Even though Cayden looked young, his bearings and actions carried undeniable confidence.
"H-hey, can you teach us too? The police have their hands filled with those who came before us. W-we don't have much time left."
"Of course. I will be happy to help a fellow human."
Cayden did not push them away.
He did not know the situation in the demon world.
It was best to increase everyone's chances of survival.
After all, there was strength in numbers.
When Hein saw everyone listening to Cayden with attention, his chest swelled with pride.
However, he noticed some of them talking behind his brother's back, saying that there was no way Cayden's information was trustworthy.
Cayden ignored those people, but Hein didn't.
"My brother is the wisest! Demons or ghosts, he can face everything without fear! Stop saying he is lying!"

The system window popped up.
Although he did not know what kind of reward he would receive, he was looking forward to it.
Every ounce of power would increase his chances of survival in the demon world.

The numbers stopped at five.
He was teaching at least fifteen people but only five of them sincerely believed Hein's bragging.
The senior police officer, who was being harassed earlier, approached Cayden.
"Hello, sir. By any chance, are you the Exorcist sent to this station?"
"No, I'm a civilian. I'm here for my Omen of Death trial."
"Excuse me? But all of your information about the demonic worlds was accurate. How do you know about them if you are not an Exorcist?"
The police officer was shocked.
Cayden just shook his head.
He could lie to the senior police officer.
However, that could be seen as self-bragging.
So he outright refused to reveal the source of his information.
The civilians, having heard the senior police officer, spoke among themselves.
"Did you hear that? The kid's info was legit."
"Hey, let's listen to him. It might not be much but it will definitely help."
"I know! He is definitely from an Exorcist Trainee Academy! He must've learned everything from there!"
It was subtle but Cayden could sense the shift in their gazes.

The civilians approached the senior police officer, asking if Cayden's information was accurate and he affirmed that it was.
With this, the count swiftly increased.
