Once lunch time ended, both of us returned to our seats. My other classmates also returned to their seats.
I was gonna continue to read the book but I remembered that we have a quiz after this class. So I reviewed the cover of the quiz to prepare.
The time passed and before I knew it, it was time for our quiz. The teacher gave us 2 page test papers. I tried to answer as much as I can and time's up. I can say that I am most likely incorrect on many of my answers. But who knows, maybe I hit the correct answer for them.
Soon, the last class had started. The science teacher asked us to submit our homework. The one that I did just last night.
After receiving our homeworks. She started the lesson.

Time had passed and I was about to go home. But then I remember what sofia and I are gonna do. So I quickly fired up my phone and asked where to meet.
She quickly replied at the front of the school. So I headed there.
There she was, in all her beauty. Not that it really matters to me.
"Follow me." She said and I followed behind. We talked along the way and stopped at parking lot. I wondered where we will read the book.
We waited for a bit and her family car came to pick her up.
"Good afternoon my lady, we have come to pick you up." Said by her butler. The butler is an old man. Yet he has that elegant feeling around him.
"Thank you wilfred. By the way, Can I bring Lux with me to the house?" She said.
While sofia is the daughter of a rich family, it does not mean that she is always spoiled. She does not have much authority given according to what she, herself said to me. So she needs to ask if bringing someone in is allowed or not.
Yeah, I don't get it either. I have visited her house few times and everyone is kind to me an outsider. I thought they would not welcome me, since that is what I usually see in tv dramas. I guess that is just exaggerated.
"He is more than welcomed to join us! As he is your friend." He enthusiastically said. He smiled. He is just like a doting grandfather.
Soon he got out and opened the door for both of us and we got in.
We then get out of the city and soon, we arrived to her home. The place is quite secluded.
What can I say about the place you ask? Grandiose. Yeah, it's huge and beautiful. Fitting for a noble family. We entered on the huge front door. And several maids are in line and bowed their heads to us.
"Welcome back my lady. And you brought mister Ashford. Glad you came." A maid said. Well she isn't just a maid, she is the head maid. She knows me as well.
"Please drop the honorifics with me. I am just a friend of hers hahaha…." I said to her back then that there is no need to be formal with me. It feels uncomfortable for me. Guess what she explained to me.
"I can not do that since I am at work and you are a guest." Is what she said.
She uses some casual words with me. But that's all. There are only few maids in the house for maintenance and other daily household tasks. Anyways, Sofia talked to her for a bit and the maids dispersed.
"Understood. I will prepare some snacks. Wilfred, please guide mister Ashford to the library." The head maid said.
"Message received. Lux, follow me." Wilfred said. I like him. I want to talk casually, not formally. And grandpa knows this so once we walked, he started to talk casually.
I know the place but I let them guide me since I am not sure I can get there without getting lost. We then arrived in the library.
"Please wait here until my lady had arrived. I will get going then." He said and walked out.
The sun is still up and I grabbed my phone to kill time.
Soon, sofia arrived.
"Sorry for the wait there. There were some issues. No need to worry about it." She said as she sat down beside me.
"No problem. I was also gonna say that mom won't be here for a while so I can do what I want." I said jokingly.
"Sweet! Now we can focus on the book I found."
"Yeah. We can start reading the book now." I told her as I grab the book from my bag.
We started reading together and pointed out stuff here and there. Interestingly, Sofia seems serious about the creatures mentioned in the book. Like dead serious.
I didn't pay mind and continue to read with her.
Time passed quickly and the sun is already gone. Replaced by the stars in the night sky.
"Well that was a blast sofia! I didn't think that it would be this long hahahaha." I said as I stretched my body and closed the book.
"Me too. But sadly there were no traces of your dad's whereabouts." She said with a hand supporting her head.
I nodded and as I was putting the book back to my bag, an explosion rang.
*BOOOM!!!*
"What is happening?!" I said in a panic. I checked on sofia if she is fine. After seeing her fine I quickly made a decision.
"Let's get out of here quickly!" I said and grabbed her hand. She seemed to be in shock?
"I didn't know they would attack this place, this early…" She mumbled something but I didn't hear it as I focus on finding anyone else.
My goal right now is finding wilfred or any of the maids. They know how to deal with these kind of things.
We ran around and…
*BOOM!!!
Another explosion had occurred. But before I do anything, sofia pulled me back.
*BAAMM!!
A human was thrown across the hallway. I was surprised. I could not see as there were smoke covering where the guy thrown was. Sofia on the other hand chanted. She raised a ring? Necklace?
"Come before me, spirit guardian of lady Everhart!! Astrielle!!"
As she finished the chant, a yellow light appeared on the ring she hold and a giant woman clad in light armor appeared besides her. The armored woman holds 2 swords. One on each hand.
Sofia and the spirit beside her are on guard on what is behind the wall. I quickly ran behind to a near cabinet using it as a shield of sort.
"So this is where you were? Even though you are a daughter of the everhart family, they secluded you here? Not that it matters." The guy who is in the smoke said.
I could not focus on anything. So I watched them and ask her later for more.
"What do you want? If it's the amulets or artifacts that you are after, there are none here." Sofia said. Being more cautious.
"Well, too bad!! Go, Wispclaws!!" The man shouted.
Soon, a wasp the size of a dog appeared from the smoke. It has the claws of a praying mantis while having the head of a dog. It also has a stinger on it's rear.
