"I suppose, I have to explain… I am really sorry for dragging you to this mess." She said as she looked on the direction of the mansion
I know she is very serious on what she said. I have been her friend ever since both of us were still young. She is always joking about stuff here and there but I never really knew she could be this serious.
As I am thinking about her, I remember about the fire.
"We need to call firefighters sofia!"
As I tried to rummage around my pockets, sofia already told me she already called for them earlier while I was finding the others. Well, that was something.
I lost a lot this time around. Like my bag which has my books and the book that dad probably has with him… I cannot blame sofia for this. I mean even she was surprised of the sudden attack in this place.
"Let me explain what those guys are, and what they seek." She said.
Well, I guess this is to kill time while the fire fighters are coming. So I nodded. More secrets!! Sorry to feel secretly excited about this, but I love these kind of things. Like to spice things in my life. Ahem, anyways….
"First of all, Astrielle return!" The female armored woman returned to light just like the wasp thingy from earlier. It returned to Sofia's ring.
"I guess, this will be the first thing to explain." She said as she held out the ring.
"The one I summoned, Astrielle is a guardian or spirit of sort. Well, she is the guardians passed down from one daughter to another on our family. We call them to aid in battles just like earlier." She said.
"We, who call for their strength are called seekers. Seekers are what you think of as treasure hunters because we venture on to find the places where these spirits or guardians rests upon. These places are very old but are very durable and dangerous."
"Ok so that is the general explanation. But what about those superhuman speed you had? I didn't know you went to gym."
"Oh shut up. Anyways, the thing I did earlier, Super stride. It is one of the spells we use to our advantage. It boosts our speed greatly."
"So not everyone can use it? Does it come from lineage or awakening from this kind of things?"
"No. lineage does not have any special effects to using them. The powers we have, or rather, the spells used comes from the spirits we have. If you want to use one, you have to be bonded to them first."
"What about the origin of the spirits. Why do those guys want them?" I said.
"Well t-" She stopped.
Soon, fire fighters had arrived in their fire trucks and ambulance behind them. They soon came out of their vehicles and did their works. The fire fighters did their thing and the medical workers checked on the maids lied down.
We were asked of what happened. But I do not know what to say. Seeing me like this, sofia came and explained that I was still in shoced of what happened. She continued to tell that the fire started around that part of the place. She pointed out various things here and there while keeping the secret of those guys.
The unconscious ones were carried and placed on the ambulance. Soon the police came as well. One of them came to us.
"We will ask you two to cooperate with us for smooth work." The policeman said.
Both of us nodded and were ask for statements. I understand the story sofia wants to tell so I followed her story.
As I was done being asked, the police man patted be and said "Good work on carrying these people out." And left.
Sofia came to me and said that we will continue the talk tomorrow and I should get home. I asked if it was safe to go to my own home and she said it is fine since there are people who are after them.
But how do I go home? This place is far from the city.
Wondering how I should deal with this problem, A medical worker asked me to ride on the ambulance to get me checked out. Apparently, sofia asked them to bring me to the hospital to check for any traumas that I may have. I agreed since it was a free ride.
