CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
Sarah's slowly opened her eyes and she was greeted by the warm rays of sunlight streaming through the small window by her bed. She shut her eyes back immediately due to the potent brightness of the sun, this was a disadvantage of having your bed so close up to the bed. She heaved heavily before finally opening her eyes; her drowsy eyes scanned the room, and she thanked God silently, seeing she was alone. She stretched her arms above her head, feeling a sense of languor wash over her. As she sat up in bed, her thoughts immediately turned to the events of the previous night, and she mentally face-palmed herself.

Sarah's heart was racing as Xavier's face drew closer to hers. She could feel his warm breath on her skin, and her senses seemed to go into overdrive. She tried to step back, but her feet seemed rooted to the spot.
