As Ghain and Fatty slept, another thunderclap, louder than the previous one, sounded, waking Fatty from his sleep. He immediately tapped Ghain, who mumbled in his sleep without waking up.
Fatty stood up and delivered a strong kick to Ghain's leg.
"Darn, Fatty!" Ghain cursed. Then he realized the rain and how he and Fatty were drenched in it, like homeless dogs.
"Let's go back," Fatty said.
"Alright… hopefully Commander Kyle has already gone to sleep," Ghain said as he stood up. They were both wet, so they didn't bother hiding from the rain. They reluctantly made their way back to the barrack.
When they reached the barrack's front gate, they looked at it.
"How about we take the back gate? If the commander is awake, he's most likely waiting here," Fatty said.
Ghain nodded in approval. They both turned to the back gate, which wasn't too far. When they got there, Fatty proceeded to enter the gate, but Ghain stopped him.
