Chapter 34 - sniper's nest

FN FAL's special version L1A1, HK G37, and G33, as well as the Para Micro UZI with a 33-round extended magazine version of the Glock 18 adopted by Israel, AKM... The weapons were scattered on the table, but it could be seen that they had been carefully adjusted by their owner. They emitted a faint smell of gun oil. For Jiang Li, she didn't dislike this smell, but still had a slight aversion.

"247.4 meters, no need to consider wind direction and bullet drop." Lu Wanqing put away the laser rangefinder. She set up the SG550 rifle on the window sill, hiding herself in the shadows. "You guys have so many guns."

"What can we do? People have to defend themselves, right?"

Koizumi Naoko replied.

"That firepower is freaking intense! Why is there even a G33 in such a temporary stronghold?" Lu Wanqing was astounded.

"No one wants to be E7." Angela replied coldly.

After exchanging greetings, Koizumi pulled Angela and headed to another sniper position. Jiang Li put down the bipod. In the sniper scope, the dilapidated white building appeared, and sporadic figures could be seen flickering.

"Which bastard from Hedwig did you go to see yesterday?" Lu Wanqing suddenly blurted out this question.

"Yes." Jiang Li nodded in acknowledgment. "I know you can tell."

"For him?"

"You were injured."

"I got slack. I've been living too comfortably these past two months."

"Don't you think you're being too nice to him?"

"I promised Sister Rou to take care of him..." Jiang Li seemed to have something more to say.

"Entering the mission area." Gu Xiaoyao's voice came through the earpiece.

Lu Wanqing replied, "The snipers are in position."

"Operation begins."

The sunlight was exceptionally intense, falling from the sky with an overbearing scorching heat. Everything was reflecting light, so Jiang Li had specially prepared a kill flash to reduce the chance of being exposed.

Her slender, fair index finger gently pressed the trigger. Once in the zone, Jiang Li was fully focused on staring into the scope. First, the small figure of CC holding an AS VAL and moving forward appeared below the red reticle. Next were still Dongfang Muxue, Hedwig, and Katerina.

Team Zero was moving along the perimeter wall. Jiang Li stared intently at the four of them, biting her lip.

Lu Wanqing's reminder came in a timely manner: "Target spotted. Location, the third room from the right on the fourth floor."

Koizumi Naoko, who was in the same direction as Jiang Li in the earpiece, also spotted the target. Team Five was mainly responsible for the rear door direction, and she could see Ye Fan's dilapidated truck.

The guards at the rear door were having fun around the radio. With their military skills, it was a pipe dream for them to spot Team Zero. However, the three bodyguards standing on the balcony on the top floor of the hospital could spot them by looking down when Team Zero entered.

Sure enough, she soon received Elsa's order: "Team Five, take care of the bodyguards."

"Jiang, what's the plan?"

"I'll take care of the two on the left, you handle the other one. Coordinate our actions."

Two bodyguards were chatting on the left, while the remaining one was on the far right, alone and dutifully doing his job. Jiang Li kept searching and soon found what she wanted.

A potted cactus was placed on the far left of the balcony. The person who arranged it was careful enough to let it enjoy the shade at the time when the sun was at its strongest so that it wouldn't dehydrate too much.

A triumphant smile. But at this moment, the smile on the girl's face was no longer as charming as when she was chatting with her companions on ordinary days. Instead, it sent a chill down one's spine. Her knuckles moved quickly, and the bullet cut through the air. The shattered potted plant caught the attention of the two slacking guys. The one closer was urged by his companion to slowly walk towards the right.

"Counter-Terrorist Win" The girl murmured this globally popular phrase like a spell. With the crosshairs firmly locked on a bodyguard's head, she said, "Go."

"Yes!"

The bullets accurately and brutally hit the central nervous system. The two bodyguards fell down without even letting out a muffled groan. Before the third bodyguard could turn around upon hearing the noise behind him, a 7.62mm NATO bullet deprived him of his right to live.

"Clear!" Lu Wanqing reported and then hung up the communication channel. "I thought you'd give me a chance to shoot."

"No need. If it weren't for saving Ye Fan's face, I could have taken out all three of them."

"Fine, fine, you're awesome, you're amazing, you can shoot down planes in the sky."

Austin under the sniper scope was completely unaware of the approaching danger. The blonde, blue-eyed nurse was changing his IV bag for him. After being pinched on the butt by Austin, the former pretended to be shy, flirted a few words and then left. Under the feet of the arms dealer, Team Zero had already bypassed the sentry posts, moving quickly and nimbly.

Just as she was about to watch Team Zero's next move, Lu Wanqing suddenly had a new discovery: "Unidentified personnel have appeared at the front door."

She aimed downward. Two black jeeps were driving towards the front door of the hospital. Those were definitely high-end vehicles that local militias couldn't afford. The jeeps were soon blocked by the building, and Jiang Li lost track of them.

Elsa had already started reporting in the earpiece, and Lu Wanqing was on the phone with Gu Xiaoyao. "Gu, be careful. I bet those guys just now were definitely gangsters."

"Can you stop being such a jinx?" Jiang Li complained a little. She moved her body a bit - and gripped the gun handle even tighter.
