Chereads / My Agent Chronicles / Chapter 44 - Stalking in the Dark

Chapter 44 - Stalking in the Dark

"Slurp, slurp~"

Just from the sound, one could tell how fragrant the noodles were. When the ingredients collided with plain boiled water, the traditional Chinese craftsmanship burst out with a delicious aroma in this simple mixture that made everyone couldn't help taking a deep breath and almost drooling. With just one bite, the body would instinctively have a thought: "One more!"

The Azure Dragon took a satisfied sip of the noodle soup and said, "The Golden Soup with Fatty Beef is still the most fragrant."

The Orange took an opposing stance and said, "Bullshit! It's the Shrimp and Fish Fillet Noodles!"

"Can you two be a bit more ambitious! We should have been feasting at the Alardshan banquet today! I haven't tasted anything fresh for a whole month!"

"Then go and eat in Kreber if you're so brave. You can you up, no can no bb, OK?" The Orange rolled his eyes at the Golden Eagle.

(The correct phrase should be 'take up or shut up'.)

"I won't be able to come back if I go in there—wait, what's that?" The Golden Eagle's expression changed, and then he quickly pulled out a napkin and covered his mouth.

The Orange mocked maliciously, "Maybe it's a scorpion."

"A cockroach is also possible," the Azure Dragon added fuel to the fire.

"Nah, right?" The Golden Eagle unfolded the tissue and swayed it left and right for the two to see. "It's all normal stuff."

"Damn it, how disgusting are you?" "That's so perverted. Should we say it's just like you?" "Why don't you just change your name to Pervertski?" "Or how about Uekawa Kazuo? A perverted ninja." "Uekawa Naeiko would work too."

"You guys... It's you who are ruining my reputation outside."

"Bullshit. Do we even need to ruin your reputation?" After finishing the meal, the Azure Dragon began to check his AUG A3 rifle. "To be honest, the bullpup-less Type 95 of our own is easier to use."

"Get out of here," the Golden Eagle kicked the Azure Dragon out of the vehicle. "If you use the Type 95, the CIA will come knocking on our door tomorrow."

The Azure Dragon wasn't annoyed. He patted his butt and stood up. "Do you think the Cloud Eagle could also be in the Middle East?"

"Are you dreaming?" The Orange jumped out of the vehicle door on the other side with a heavy rifle on his back. Instantly, the vehicle became lighter. "He's either in Brenydia or Olga. Wherever the 'Wheel King' might be, that's where he could be."

"Come to think of it, with the ability of Yitlan, how could it not even find Solomon? Back then, people from 373 and CBRN all went there."

"Let's wait until the World Government has some say. Otherwise, why do you think the 'Prometheus' was passed so quickly? Don't forget that the regions are relatively independent of each other. It's impossible to achieve large-scale military cooperation or information network sharing." The Azure Dragon shrugged. "As the old saying goes, one generation plants the trees under whose shade another generation rests. The Nightingales went to be environmental guardians. I really don't understand what's so good about joining that army."

"Stop talking nonsense and hurry up!

"Then you go if you're so capable!

The Golden Eagle leisurely raised the YF4 grenade launcher in the driver's seat. "Have you ever seen the artillery system used for infiltration?"

The Azure Eagle raised his middle finger expressionlessly. "You're so awesome."

After bidding farewell to his companions, the Azure Dragon walked alone towards the Yaoliu Village that was faintly visible in the night. The Orange picked up the heavy sniper rifle and walked towards the side. "Remember not to report what happened to the Nightingales."

"Of course. The top three families are all self-righteous idiots."

--- Dividing Line ---

The Azure Dragon lay prone on the ground and kept moving forward relying only on his elbows and knees. The temperature of the sandy ground at night was so low that his body shivered instinctively. He wriggled across the sandy sea like a viper, leaving a dark trace that would soon be covered up.

"Two armed men, male, sentries, approaching from the right," the Orange reminded the Azure Dragon.

"I heard that the boss has another deal recently."

"Yeah, I heard that last time..."

The sentries with flashlights passed right in front of him, just two meters away from him, yet completely unaware of his presence. The white light beams flickered lonely in the dark night, giving off an extra sense of coldness.

The Azure Dragon held his breath. After the sentries passed by, he raised his head to observe his surroundings and took in everything around him. There was an NSV heavy machine gun on the nearby watchtower controlling the surrounding area, but there were also several trucks nearby that could provide convenience for his infiltration.

"The next group of sentries will be here soon. Speed up."

As a sniper, the Orange could also provide a wide field of vision. The Azure Dragon quickly moved to the trucks and slid under one of them with a slide. The engine above his head was still humming, and drops of water fell from the chassis. The air was filled with the unpleasant smell of diesel burning. To prevent the interference of the cold night on the engine, the driver still chose to keep it running at night.

Although he didn't know if it would be useful, the Azure Dragon still secretly cursed the unknown driver's behavior. Taking advantage of the patrol gap between the sentries, the Azure Dragon had already slipped to the door of a house. This was the only house in the whole village that still had lights on at night, and the status of its owner was self-evident.

"Damn it, there's a lock," the Azure Dragon muttered softly. Then his hands moved quickly, and a thin wire slipped out of his sleeve to remove the obstacle. The damaged latch made a slight "click" sound as if it were moaning. After finishing this little trick, the Azure Dragon pressed the thermal imager tightly against the door frame. A single red figure appeared on the screen. The silencer made a monotonous "whoosh" sound as the metal-jacketed bullet pierced through the door panel, splashing up bloody sparks.

Using the corpse as support, he closed the door panel. In the empty entrance hall, the Azure Dragon raised his gun, gripped his rifle tightly, and moved forward cautiously. Although the training level of militants in the Middle East was generally not high, he actually preferred to fight against regular troops because of this. At least the thinking of professional soldiers had some patterns to follow, but you could never know what was going on in the minds of amateur fighters.

By the time he could see the faint light from the hall on the wall, he had already silently eliminated two people. Looking through the crack in the wall to observe the inside, there were four men in total. The thick, swollen calluses on their arms showed that they used guns frequently. Their right or left thumbs were almost always near the trigger, indicating that they were extremely vigilant.

The man closest to him was holding an Uzi submachine gun, and the rifleman with a conspicuous scar on his face was equipped with an AKM rifle with a GP25 grenade launcher. The weapons of the other two men were also quite famous, both being FN FAL automatic rifles, which were known as the "Right Hand of the Free World" (also translated as "The Correct Weapon of the Free World").

A very prominent feature was that they all wore red headscarves, which reflected a dull and greasy light under the dim yellow light.

Red headscarves?

Last time when Yitlan was attacked in Craig, they, as bystanders, found that there were red headscarves among the attackers that seemed to belong to an elite unit. Although there were all kinds of red headscarves in the world, judging from the current situation...

They should be the culprits.

The Azure Dragon pulled out his tactical knife and waited for an opportunity.

Perhaps because he hadn't waited for his companions for a long time, one man got up, slung his rifle over his shoulder, and walked out. He never expected who was waiting for him outside. The short reaction time passed in a flash, and the only image that his retina had time to project to his brain was a pair of black pupils full of icy murderous intent.

The MC1 obstacle-removing knife in his left hand plunged into the man's throat. Using the man's body as a pivot, the Azure Dragon opened fire with his AUG at full power. In the glorious muzzle flash, the unique fireworks of modern human weaponry burst out. The bullets streaked through the air leaving invisible traces. The three men who were hit by several bullets didn't even have time to let out a scream before they died.

The last poor guy was kicked to the ground by the Azure Dragon. His torn bronchus could only make a strange "hissing" sound. In terror, he could only watch helplessly as the Azure Dragon pointed his rifle at his head—

"Whoosh."

The last bullet completed the finishing shot. The firing pin hit nothing, and the cartridge case rolled on the ground. The Azure Dragon carefully avoided them, replaced his rifle with the MK23 MOD0 pistol with a silencer, and walked deeper into the room.

Just by sniffing slightly, one could smell the sweat. As a special agent, the Azure Dragon naturally had good eyesight. Even in the pitch-black corridor, he could clearly see all kinds of personal clothes scattered on the ground. The heavy panting in the room at the end was hard to ignore, and the woman was deliberately moaning wantonly. One could even faintly hear the shaking of the bed.

Using the same method to pick the lock, the Azure Dragon burst into the room and shouted, "CIA, put down your weapons and surrender immediately!"

"Who are you?" The man shuddered and quickly hugged the woman to shield himself. His naked body was completely exposed to the Azure Dragon. "How did you get in?"

"Favre! Favre!" He shouted in vain and panic, but no one answered. The Azure Dragon's eyes were cold. "I'm here for you, Solomon."

Increasingly frightened, the man's grip gradually tightened. In a panic, his eyes lit up as he suddenly grabbed the woman's neck. The dark hand was covered with bulging veins. "Don't come any closer! I'll kill her if you do!"

In the silent confrontation, the woman gradually couldn't suppress her painful sobs. The sweat on the man's forehead caused by the previous intense exercise and panic was flowing down like a stream. Suddenly, the Azure Dragon showed a sarcastic smile. "Do you think I'll..."

The muzzle flash suddenly flared up as if it were a fortuitous misfire. The.45 ACP bullet hit the man's forehead. Under the huge impact, the man fell backward. The white brain matter and blood mixed together and splattered on the bed sheet that was originally covered with the bodily fluids of their intercourse. The hormonal smell in the air was gradually replaced by the smell of blood.

"I won't give you a chance to repent," the Azure Dragon said arrogantly as he blew away the sulfur smell of gunpowder from the muzzle. "I'll make you see your own brain matter."

He spoke in Chinese. The woman kneeling on the bed naturally couldn't understand. She didn't even have the thought to think about the true meaning of these words. She just kept trembling and repeating, "Don't kill me, don't kill me..."

"Of course I won't kill you," noticing the woman's emotions, the Azure Dragon slowly walked forward and put a quilt over her to comfort her. In the warmth, the woman began to calm down and looked up—

She saw the Azure Dragon's face with a half-smile.

"I told you, I'm here for you, Solomon."

The pistol hit Solomon hard on the forehead. Solomon, who wanted to call for help, could only let out a low "Mm..." from his throat before passing out.

This chapter was really enjoyable to write. Finally, I don't have to write about those stupid and weak guys like Gu Xiaoyao fighting each other like chickens.
