Natasha slammed Fredrick on his shoulder after hearing that he was only going to have one stage of the exam, and not two.
After declaring this, Fredrick sorted out everyone who were still in the arena at the current moment.
It had already come to this.
Knowing that there wasn't going to be a second stage—due to the cause of the destruction, he then decided to pass everyone who were currently at the arena.
Hearing this, Natsu, who also stayed behind alongside Brian and a few others, after leading the rest of the candidates outside, walked up to Fredrick and said.
"Wait… What do you mean that everyone here passed? Most of us haven't even gotten the time to show any of our skills yet."
With a sad but not too depressed face, a young lady not more than 15 years of age, about 5'5, wearing a red garment with flowers on it—said as she placed both her index fingers together, "I d-don't think it is nice to just pass all of us like that. I-I mean we still don't know if we are capable of moving to the academy without a good examination."
It was not only her and Natsu who felt that way, others made their unique complains
Hearing all their complaints, Fredrick took a deep breath before speaking; however, before he could utter a single word, he was interrupted by a loud voice.
"Hey… what the hell are you guys complaining about," Brian yelled. "If you don't think you are not fit enough to enter the mages academy, then go back to your pitiful homes and do all the chores."
With how loud Brain's voice was, most of the people who complained began to doubt themselves.
Sigh'
"I am not just giving you all a free pass," Fredrick exclaimed. "This pass I have given you is a sign of all who were able to withstand Alon's magic power."
"Tch" Brain muttered after hearing the statement Alon's magical power.
"If a person can be able to withstand that vast magical power without running away, I think they are fit for the academy." Fredrick continued.
"However, it is not going to be that simple. There is still the final stage after all; as you all know, this stage is the most difficult, and it won't be me who will be judging it. So don't give in yet; you can all prove yourselves there."
It was true that those who were given the pass mark were considered strong because of their strength to withstand Alon's magical power and not run away.
However, the final stage was not something that can joke with. It was the final stage of the exam—Yes. However, it was used as a means of entertainment for the people of the kingdom.
Not only that, but those who had passed the first two stages from the other cities, were all going to gather in a specific city to take the final exam.
Each year, one city holds the final stage of the exam, and this year, it was the city of Luminastra, where Alon lived and where Lean got Transmigrated.
As the final stage was used as entertainment, it was also a grand event. Which meant lots of people from around the kingdom would come to watch.
This means people from all over the kingdom had already made their way to the city already, since the final stage was going to be tomorrow.
Out of the two hundred-plus individuals who stood for the examination in Luminastra, only a minimum of twenty-five passed.
Twenty-five including Natasha, Brain, Natsu, Alon, and Lean.
Fredrick then looked at these few with a brief smile on his face, making him feel like he had achieved his goal for the day.
"Now that you all know how it's all going to go, I suggest that you all go and prepare. Tomorrow is going to be a big eve—."
"There won't be an event tomorrow!" A voice from the background exclaimed cutting Fredrick before he could finish.
"Huh"
"Who is he?"
"Such aura…"
"And his hair too, it's pretty…"
Murmurs began to rise as the person who spoke emerged from the shadows.
It was a young man with blue hair and golden eyes, wearing a green cloak adorned with a sun emblem. He appeared to be around 20 or 21 years old and stood about 6'3.
"So you are here huh?" Fredrick spoke as he looked at the young man.
"Who is he?". Natasha asked Frederick.
"He's Julius Vangeance,
"Huh? Do you mean the second special candidate from last year's entrance examination?" Natasha asked in shock.
"Yeah"
"So he is the one? And he is a member of the Silver Dawn House… But what is he doing here?"
Before Fredrick could respond.
"Huh?"
Natasha felt a strong presence behind her, as a hand wrapped around her shoulder.
"And who is this beautiful lady here? Julius asked."
'He's fast' Alon muttered to himself.
Natasha stood frozen, shocked by the sudden speed he displayed as he moved behind her.
"Get away from her, Julius!" Fredrick exclaimed."She's just a candidate for the exam"
"Alright, alright!" Julius exclaimed as he removed his hand from Natasha and walked to Fredrick.
"What is someone like you doing here," Natasha asked annoyed by his display earlier.
Julius turned around and looked at Natasha with a smile on his face. Then Fredrick replied to her.
"Don't mind him; he was supposed to conduct the exam with me today. Unfortunately, he wasn't there. Where did you run off to this time… Julius?" Fredrick looked at him with an annoyed face.
But Julius only gave a little smirk.
"I don't wanna hear it anymore; knowing you, you probably went on to do your usual sightseeing. By the way, what did you mean earlier, when you said there wouldn't be an event tomorrow? It is the final stage we are talking about"
"You wanted to know where I was? Julius said as he walked away from Frederick.
"True I went for my usual sightseeing for potential magic, but then I got distracted by the uproar coming out from the arena. However, before I could make my way here, I met with one of the higher-ups, and they told me that the damage caused was severe, so they would have to take some time to discuss the cause. And with that reason, the final examination was to be held in a week"
"A week?" Fredrick exclaimed.
Julius then stopped beside Lean and spoke in his ear.
"I noticed you earlier—I can't sense a single drop of magic from your body. How do you plan on passing the final stage without any?"
