Chapter 7 - Lan Yuan vs Yin Wei

Bam! Bam!

The dull thuds of punches echoed across the arena, the sound of flesh meeting flesh cutting through the tense air. The crowd watched in awe as the semi-final match between Lan Yuan and Yin Wei unfolded. This wasn't just a battle; it was a brutal display of strength.

Yin Wei moved like a relentless force of nature, each punch crashing into Lan Yuan with the weight of a sledgehammer. His fists were unyielding, like iron, smashing into Lan's defenses with cold, calculated precision. Lan Yuan's feet shuffled back and forth, his eyes darting, desperately searching for an opening. But there was none.

Bam! Another punch landed, this time squarely on Lan Yuan's ribs, sending him stumbling back. His breath came in ragged gasps, his body aching from the relentless assault. It felt as though he was trying to dodge a mountain, each of Yin Wei's strikes heavier and more powerful than the last.

Lan Yuan gritted his teeth, forcing himself to stay focused. His strategy had been clear at the start—evade, counter, wait for an opportunity to strike back. But as the battle raged on, it became painfully obvious that there would be no opportunity. Yin Wei was an immovable object, an iron fortress, unyielding and impenetrable.

Thud! Thud! Yin Wei's fists flew with mechanical precision, each one forcing Lan Yuan further into retreat. The rhythm of the fight was all Yin Wei's. He never wasted a single movement. Every step, every punch was calculated to push Lan Yuan to the edge, to break him down both physically and mentally. He had the air of a king.

Lan's arms trembled as he raised them to block yet another incoming strike, his body screaming under the pressure. It was like trying to stop a flood with bare hands. The crowd was silent, mesmerized by the sheer dominance Yin Wei displayed.

Xie Fan watched silently, a smile playing on his lips. He was amazed by Yin Wei's talent—it was astounding what he could do at such a young age, with only a month since awakening his meridians. Xie Fan's thoughts also drifted to his next battle against Lan Mei, a girl with an unusual aura. She was slender, her long silver hair tied back in a neat braid, her movements fluid and graceful like a flowing stream.

Bam!

Lan Yuan's mind raced as he dodged another blow, barely escaping a strike aimed at his jaw. But with each passing second, his stamina dwindled, his movements slowing. Yin Wei, on the other hand, seemed tireless, his body barely breaking a sweat.

Crash! Yin Wei's fist finally broke through Lan's guard, sending him sprawling across the arena floor. Dust kicked up around him as he hit the ground, gasping for air. His vision blurred for a moment as he tried to push himself up, but Yin Wei was already looming over him, ready to deliver the final blow.

"Stop, the battle is over," Instructor Lei commanded.

"Yin Wei has won," he announced.

Yin Wei, expressionless, walked away from the ring and sat down on a rock under the shade of a tree.
