Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Introduction

PAULINE

Eventually the bell clanged and everyone ultimately climbed into their seats, chatting incessantly to one another. Aprialla beside me was addressing incessantly about how thrilled she was to dorm with us again.

Not after long, a tall figure's presence filled in the room. It was the teacher.

What astonished me was the identity of the teacher. Professor Benedict. Although the school faculty mostly consisted of non-humans, Professor Benedict was not only a human but also Benjamin's father.

Versona was ruled by the queen. Benjamin's mother. Even so, the arrival of the king consort as a teacher flabbergasted me. The other students must've been bewildered as well as low murmurs echoed everywhere.

I shot a brief glance over my shoulder to Benjamin before turning back.

Benjamin, who was always loud and chatty currently had his head lowered. It designated that he was aware of it. But he didn't tell us. We must later question him about what's going on.

"Did Crestwood not educate you about etiquettes?!" A loud growl escaping the professor's mouth made everyone flinch and drop their conversations.

Everyone jumped to their feet, curtsying and bowing straight away.

Professor Benedict just shook his head in disdain. "No organization. No harmony. Did Crestwood just graduate a bunch of brutes?!" He barked out.

He had always been kind every time we met him in Versona. However, here, he seems like a completely different individual. A cranky and strict tutor.

Aprialla and I exchanged brief glances. She must have the same thoughts regarding the situation.

"Whatever. Sit down." Professor Benedict motioned with his hand and everyone obeyed. "There is no particular requirement for introduction as all of you untamed creatures have been in the same class since your elementary school. I know all of you personally and you know me as well. However, here I'm not your friend's father or the king consort of Versona. I am your professor and professor only." His eyes travelled through the room.

"Before we start, you have some more animals joining you." He turned towards the door. "Enter."

The ones the professor was addressing as 'animals' walked into the room with their heads lowered as if they were criminals.

There entered two girls and a boy.

"Princess Audrey of Ravenwood under Athenburg, Princess Patricia, the crown princess of Bellonia and Prince Felix, the crown prince of Jovania. Both Princess Patricia and Prince Felix are from Arcania."

They were from another continent?!

The professor then turned to the three of them as he leaned onto the teacher's desk with the support of his hand. "Just go and grab any empty seat and don't waste time,"

Princess Audrey was an average heighted girl with short curly red hair and brown eyes. She was a little plump with soft features and coffee coloured skin.

While, Princess Patricia was average heighted as well with a honey skin. She wasn't much of what one can call attractive. She had an average frame with a square jaw. Her dark hair landed on her upper back. Her light hazel eyes were fixed on something behind me as she was shyly staring at that thing…. or person.

My eyes travelled to the back of the class.

Prince Kristian.

Indeed.

Prince Kristian was staring at her with curious eyes. He's palpably eyeing his new prey. I sighed out. But then I noticed that just in front of him, Irene was smirking, her eyes affixed to the front of the class. Why would she stare at Princess Patri-

But when proceeded to where she was staring at, it all was lucid.

Prince Felix.

Prince Felix was tall. Above 6'3 at least. He had a willowy body. His blond hair was perfectly styled, revealing his forehead partially. His facial features were sharp. A harmony of features constituting a sculpture God probably took his sweet time in building. Though he wasn't my type, I couldn't deny that he was handsome. His ocean blue eyes were on Irene with a smirk plastered on his face.

Do these people come to school to gather education or date around?!

The three of them rushed to the empty seats that happened to be beside and ahead of me. Princess Audrey settled on the desk preceding mine, Prince Felix to her right and Princess Patricia beside me.

"Make sure to be congenial towards them. If I ever catch any of you bothering the new students, I can and will do something that will make your parents want to fire me." Professor Benedict declared; his eyes glued towards the back of the class.

It immediately clicked in my mind.

Irene and Benjamin.

So, he knew that they bullied people. At least the class would be a little peaceful now.

Indeed. It was only precise if we treat everyone with an affable approach. The corners of my mouth curled upwards and I turned to Princess Patricia beside me. "Greetings, I am Princess Pauline of Delfinia. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Patricia had her head hanging over her desk. But now, she lifted her head, turning to me, a gentle smile forming on her lips.

"Princess Patricia."
