### Chapter 5: The Scroll of Pain
The actors' mansion was now enveloped in an oppressive silence, broken only by the murmurs of the police officers investigating the crime scene. Sarah Monroe's body lay on the garage floor, and the scene was a horrific testament to the brutality that had occurred there. Leo Hart, the surviving actor, was in shock, his mind still trying to process the loss of his wife and the violent attack that had nearly cost him his life.
The officers worked quickly, collecting evidence and searching every inch of the house. But the real challenge lay in figuring out who was responsible for this atrocity. Leo, his eyes red and his body shaking, was taken to a separate room, where the detectives waited for him. They needed answers, and Leo was the only witness.
Seated at the table, Leo looked at the officers, his expression a mix of pain and determination. "I… I saw his face," he began, his voice shaking. "He was young, maybe in his twenties, with dark, messy hair. There was something disturbing about his eyes, like he was…starved for attention."
The detectives wrote down every word, their faces serious as Leo continued to describe the attack. "He was wearing a dark hoodie and ripped jeans. The knife…he was holding it so tightly, like he'd been waiting for this moment his whole life."
With each detail Leo shared, a picture of the perpetrator began to form. "He seemed so desperate, so lost. It was like he wanted to be noticed, and not just because of the violence."
One of the detectives, realizing the gravity of the situation, suggested, "We need to put together a task force. This guy isn't just a killer; he's a menace to society. If he's targeting celebrities, he could very well turn on anyone."
Leo nodded, his mind still spinning. "Please, find him. He needs to be stopped before he does more harm to anyone."
The officers began working on a sketch based on Leo's description, creating a caricature of the suspect. The drawing quickly became the main lead in the case, distributed to every police department in the area and shared on social media to alert the public to the danger.
Meanwhile, Leo sat in silence, tears streaming down his face. The pain of losing Sarah was overwhelming, and the thought that someone so empty and lost had taken her life consumed him with rage. He knew the fight would not end until the person responsible was found and brought to justice.
As time passed and the task force was assembled, the city braced itself for what could be a relentless manhunt. The killer's face, now drawn on paper and canvas, had become a symbol of the terror that had taken hold. The search for Rep had only just begun, and the police were determined not to rest until he was captured.
