Jay moved forward with his team—Chenoo, Adonis, Pluto, and the three Black-Eyed Ghouls—through the hidden passageway. "Master, I sense about 20 wolves up ahead," Adonis reported. "Two of them are of General rank, while the rest are at Warrior rank."
"Let the three Black-Eyed Ghouls handle the generals. Pluto and I will take on the warriors ourselves," Jay instructed. "Stay alert for any ambushes," he added, glancing at Adonis and Chenoo, who nodded in agreement.
Picking up his pace, Jay soon spotted two imposing wolves—a large green one and a black one—with a pack of smaller, green- and black-furred wolves behind them. Activating his detection skill, Jay focused on the two leaders, bringing up the following information on his screen.
[System - Great Wind Wolf King]

Turning his detection toward the wolves behind, Jay identified them as Great Wind Wolves and Great Abyss Wolves, all at Warrior rank, ranging from Level 13 to Level 30.
"All right, let's begin the attack!" Jay commanded, signaling the three Black-Eyed Ghouls. The nine-headed serpent charged at the Great Abyss Wolf King, while the four-legged kaiju lunged toward the Great Wind Wolf King. The Beholder King moved in to support its allies. Meanwhile, Chenoo retreated into Jay's shadow space, ready to emerge if Jay encountered any serious danger. Adonis kept a vigilant watch for any threats from the surroundings.
As Pluto and Jay rushed toward the pack of warrior-ranked wolves, the battle began in earnest.
The Great Wind Wolf King and the Great Abyss Wolf King moved in unison, their fierce eyes set on the enemy. The 9-headed serpent took the lead, hissing with anticipation as it unleashed 9-Headed Blast Waves, bombarding the two wolf kings with a barrage of elemental attacks from each of its heads.
The Great Wind Wolf King responded quickly, activating a powerful Wind Barrier to shield both itself and the Great Abyss Wolf King from the blasts. However, some of the serpent's blasts pierced through the barrier, forcing the wolves to dodge and deflect.
The 4-legged kaiju seized this opportunity, using Dark Mud Wave to create a heavy sludge around the wolves, slowing their movements. It then followed up with Sharpened Sword Wave, a slicing attack that cut through the air and struck the Great Wind Wolf King, leaving a gash on its side.
The Great Abyss Wolf King growled and countered, lunging toward the kaiju with fierce bites. The kaiju retaliated with Soul Stare, a paralyzing gaze that halted the Great Abyss Wolf King mid-attack, allowing it to follow up with Soul Devour. A dark energy wrapped around the wolf, weakening its spirit as the kaiju drained a portion of its strength.
Meanwhile, the beholder king kept its watchful eyes on the battlefield, assessing threats. It activated King's Aura, intimidating the wolves and weakening their resolve. The beholder then used Eye of Doom on the Great Wind Wolf King, hitting it with a direct blast of mental energy, leaving it disoriented. Sensing the weakened state, the beholder launched Super Laser Beam directly at the wolf, causing a significant wound that left the Great Wind Wolf King stumbling.
Regaining some focus, the Great Abyss Wolf King mustered its energy, summoning a Dark Howl that reverberated across the battlefield, forcing the summons to take a step back. But the 9-headed serpent moved in again, this time using Devour, extending its heads to bite into the Great Abyss Wolf King. Poison from its Toxic Scales seeped into the wolf's wounds, further weakening it.
The wolves were clearly outmatched. In one final coordinated strike, the kaiju delivered an Earthquake, shaking the ground and knocking the wolves off their feet, while the serpent launched All Elemental Affinity Blasts for a decisive attack. The beholder king, maintaining its King Domain, supported the team with Weaken Defense, making it impossible for the wolves to withstand the final barrage.
In a powerful display of combined strength, the 3 black eyed ghouls overwhelmed the Great Wind Wolf King and the Great Abyss Wolf King, securing victory in the intense battle.
Meanwhile as Jay and Pluto stepped into the clearing filled with the howling of wolves, they faced a formidable pack of 20 Great Wind Wolves and Great Abyss Wolves, all at warrior rank between levels 13 and 30. With a steady resolve, Jay assessed their opponents, feeling the surge of mana within him.
"Let's do this, Pluto! We'll cut through them!" Jay shouted, activating his Shadow Space to manipulate the battlefield and create a zone of advantage. The moment he did, shadows flickered around them, momentarily disorienting the approaching wolves.
Pluto, shifting beside him, readied himself. "I'll cover your back! Let's show them the power of the dead!" With that, he vanished into a mist, using Phase In & Out to flit between the wolves, slashing at them with his Sword Slash and Ghost Sword Technique. Each strike landed true, bypassing defenses as Pluto's ethereal blade carved through the packs.
As the wolves regrouped, Jay summoned his power, invoking Arise Undead to bring forth skeletal warriors from the ground. A horde of skeletons emerged, brandishing rusty swords and shields. "Attack!" Jay commanded, and the undead legion surged forward, drawing the attention of the wolves.
The Great Wind Wolves charged at the skeletons, while the Great Abyss Wolves lunged at Jay and Pluto. One of the larger wolves, level 30, aimed for Jay, who quickly responded with Laser Eyes. A beam of concentrated energy shot from his eyes, striking the wolf and sending it sprawling backward.
"Keep pushing!" Jay shouted, unleashing Black Plague as a dark mist enveloped a cluster of wolves, weakening their strength. The wolves howled in pain, their bodies wracked with curses as they staggered, losing their resolve.
Pluto took advantage of the chaos. "Let me help!" He activated Soul Blaze, a fiery ghostly flame that erupted from his blade, engulfing the nearest wolf. The flames sizzled and consumed the creature, leaving nothing but ash.
Jay then cast Blood Curse, targeting a level 28 wolf. Tendrils of dark energy ensnared the wolf, binding it in place and siphoning its vitality. As the wolf thrashed, Jay launched Shadow Spikes from the ground, impaling several other wolves around it, causing a ripple of panic among the pack.
The remaining wolves hesitated, feeling the loss of their comrades. Sensing their fear, Jay pressed forward, drawing upon his Death Transformation (1st form). His appearance shifted; a dark aura surrounded him, enhancing his strength and intimidating the remaining wolves.
"Let's finish this!" Jay shouted, his voice echoing with authority. He summoned the Arise Skeleton Legion, more skeletal warriors pouring into the fray, overwhelming the wolves with sheer numbers.
Pluto, now back at Jay's side, unleashed Mind Break, a devastating attack that struck the minds of the wolves. Confusion swept through the pack, leaving them disoriented.
"Now!" Jay commanded as he charged in, using Bone Poison against the level 30 Great Wind Wolf, launching a powerful Bone Spike that pierced its side. The wolf howled in agony, collapsing as the poison coursed through its veins.
As the battle raged on, Jay continued to fight valiantly, using Medium Curse of Words to debilitate his foes further while his skeletal warriors held the front line. Pluto darted in and out, assisting Jay by cutting down wolves with precision strikes.
With each wolf that fell, the tide of the battle shifted further in their favor, Jay feeling invigorated by the chaos. "This is our fight!" he cried, unleashing a final Blazing Infernal Flame that engulfed the last of the warriors, burning bright and hot, clearing the battlefield of any remaining threats.
Finally, with the last wolf defeated, Jay stood amidst the remnants of the battle, panting but victorious, as Pluto clapped him on the back. "We did it, Jay! We showed them what we're made of!"
"Great job, 9-headed serpent, 4-legged kaiju, and Beholder King!" Jay praised, a sense of pride swelling within him. He turned to Pluto, his expression softening. "Thanks for assisting me," he said, smiling warmly at his companion.
"Anytime, Master," Pluto replied with a nod.
"Okay, let's get moving. We have some distance to cover," Jay stated as they resumed their journey.
As they pressed forward, the sound of footsteps echoed behind them. Soon, Adonis and Chenoo appeared, flanking Jay and ensuring his protection. The atmosphere shifted as two figures emerged from the shadows.
"Master, we've returned!" a familiar voice called out. It was Amelios, with Seraphina standing beside him, both wearing smiles of relief and camaraderie.
Jay's heart lifted as he and his commanders rushed to reunite, the warmth of their bond reigniting hope and strength in their shared purpose.
After some time spent recounting their experiences in the temple, Seraphina and Amelios wore grim expressions.
"That bastard, Evans! If I catch him, I'll show him what true hell is!" Amelios declared, fury flashing in his eyes. Seraphina nodded in agreement, her features hardened by determination.
Jay understood their frustration all too well. Individuals of such pride and power wouldn't take their captivity lightly, especially at the hands of someone they deemed weaker. The thought of being locked away like rats had ignited a fierce resolve within them, and he knew they would stop at nothing to reclaim their dignity and avenge the indignities they had suffered.
"Now let's find that scum Evans and his master. They're close to the control room; let's get moving!" Jay urged, his voice steady with determination.
Amelios took the lead along with pluto , the others falling in line behind him. The three black-eyed ghouls followed closely, their forms a stark contrast against the flickering torchlight. Adonis walked beside Chenoo, who remained vigilant, watching their surroundings for any signs of danger. Seraphina matched her pace with Jay , her presence a comforting weight beside him as they approached a larger entrance. The walls were adorned with an array of torches, casting long shadows that danced ominously in the dim light.
As they approached the larger entrance, Jay glanced sideways at Seraphina.
"Are you ready for whatever we might face?" he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
Seraphina nodded, her expression resolute. "I've faced worse. Evans and his master won't stand a chance against us. But I won't lie; I'm eager for a fight."
Jay smirked, a spark of mischief in his eyes. "Just remember, we need to stay focused. We can't let our emotions cloud our judgment."
"Easy for you to say," she replied with a teasing smile. "You're not the one who was trapped like a rat. But I promise I'll keep my cool—at least until we find him."
"Fair enough," Jay said, chuckling. "Let's show them what we're made of."
"Agreed," Seraphina replied, her determination shining through. "Let's end this."
As Jay and his commanders drew near a massive metallic door at the end of the entrance, Chenoo grinned at the sight. "Looks like it's time to make an entrance," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
Adonis chuckled, clenching his fists. "Well, we're busting in today, with or without a key!"
Jay couldn't help but laugh. "All right, then! Attack, everyone!"
In unison, a brilliant beam of light erupted as their attacks combined. The swirling energy shot toward the enormous door, slamming into it with tremendous force. A deafening "BOOOOOOM!" resonated through the corridor as the door shattered into a million pieces, sending shockwaves reverberating throughout the space. The explosion released a wave of searing heat that scorched the air and melted the walls nearby.
Instinctively, Jay and Pluto ducked behind Seraphina, who stood tall, shielding them from the violent aftershock and scorching blast.
As the dust settled and the echoes of the explosion faded, Jay peered through the smoldering remnants of the massive door, his heart racing with adrenaline. "Is everyone okay?" he asked, brushing debris off his shoulders.
Seraphina straightened up, brushing her wings to remove the dust. "I'm fine. You two could've used a little less dramatic flair," she said, glancing back at Jay and Pluto with a smirk.
Pluto chuckled, adjusting his spectral sword. "I thought the plan was to make an entrance, not a grand spectacle."
Jay grinned, his excitement palpable. "Well, it worked, didn't it?
Adonis nodded, his eyes scanning the darkness beyond the destroyed door. "Right. Keep your guard up. We don't know what's waiting for us on the other side."
