"Welcome, foolish Necromancer!" A loud, mocking voice echoed from within the main control room. Jay and his commanders turned to see a massive pack of wolves, at least 3,000 strong, gathered before them. Leading the pack were two figures, standing tall and imposing. Behind them loomed two enormous wolves—one a giant purple wolf and the other a sleek silver beast. Both radiated a menacing aura, attempting to engulf Jay and his team.
However, the oppressive force was swiftly blocked as Adonis and Amelios stepped forward in unison. Their anger was palpable, their fury fueled by the loss of nearly all their legions to the traps. Even Jay could feel the weight of the failure—this was the first time he had suffered such a loss without gaining anything in return. In fact, there were moments when he had narrowly avoided death, only surviving thanks to Seraphina's timely interventions.
This loss only served to harden his resolve. He would level up as quickly as possible, reaching the General rank no matter the cost.
Jay activated his detection skill, scanning the wolves in front of him. Most were at the Initial rank, with a few Warrior ranks mixed in. But what caught his attention were the three General-ranked wolves. A Great Water Wolf, a Great Light Wolf, and a Great Thunder Wolf—each of them exuding an aura of power that matched the General ranks he had faced before. Their lowest rank was the Great Water Wolf, at level 35. Jay's eyes narrowed. The Great Water Wolf would be his target. He planned to deal with it personally.
Jay's gaze locked onto the giant purple wolf, whose fierce aura crackled in the air. Beside it stood the silver wolf, its own presence just as formidable. As he activated his detection skill, Jay's eyes widened in shock.

Jay hadn't expected these two wolves to be anywhere near this strong. He had assumed that only Evans would be the Master class opponent, but now things were looking far more complicated. He sighed, rubbing his temple in frustration. Even Adonis and Amelios, standing beside him, shared his concern, their brows furrowed as they took in the wolves' intimidating auras.
Turning their attention back to Evans, they saw that he looked dramatically different. His golden hair gleamed under the light, and a new sun-shaped mark adorned his forehead. His eyes had shifted to a menacing red, and his entire demeanor had changed—he no longer appeared like the person they once knew.
Beside him stood a young man, no older than 20, with green hair and matching eyes. A strange tree symbol was etched onto his forehead. The oddest thing, however, was that neither Evans nor the young man seemed to radiate any aura at all. It was as though their power was concealed.
Jay frowned, suspicion creeping into his mind. Something about the two of them felt off. He quickly activated his detection skill again, this time focusing on Evans and the young man.

Jay's jaw dropped in disbelief. Transcendent rank—both Evans and the young man were far beyond what Jay had expected. With the gap in their ranks so immense, Jay knew the battle would be incredibly difficult. The fact that they had both undergone such drastic changes in their abilities and appearances only added to the mystery.
Jay quickly mentally relayed the information about Evans and Leo to all of his summons, explaining their new ranks and special abilities. The response was immediate—his entire team grew quiet, their expressions grim as they processed the news. The weight of the situation was clear: they were facing opponents far stronger than anticipated, and the odds were heavily stacked against them.
Even as he took in the gravity of their situation, Jay's resolve hardened. They had no choice but to fight.
The air in the control room crackled with tension as Jay and his summons faced Evans and Leo. The two Transcendents stood before them, radiating power, their smug expressions ever-present. Evans, with his golden hair and the sun-marked forehead, and Leo, his green hair topped with the symbol of a tree, stared down at Jay and his team, both filled with an eerie calmness.
Jay spoke first, his voice steady but carrying the weight of frustration.
"So this is the power you've gained, Evans? I didn't expect you to be hiding behind some new form," he said, eyes narrowing as he studied Evans's new appearance. "You've changed, but you're still the same arrogant fool who couldn't stand against me before."
Evans's lips curled into a cold smile. "You should be grateful, Jay. I've ascended far beyond the limits you could understand. You were nothing but a stepping stone in my path. As for my form, I have shed the weakness of my past. This is the true strength of the Holy Sun." His gaze shifted toward Leo. "Leo and I have been gifted with power beyond mortal comprehension. We are beyond you, beyond this world."
Jay's fists clenched as his frustration boiled. "Gifted? Or manipulated? You're still the same self-centered person, just with more power. But it doesn't matter. I'll bring you down just like before. You've only made it harder for yourself."
Leo, who had been quiet until now, spoke, his voice sharp and filled with disdain. "You speak of bringing us down, Jay. But you don't even understand the true nature of what we've become. We are no longer bound by the trivial limits of this world. Our strength transcends even time. You're nothing but a dying breed. Necromancers are as old as the dust beneath our feet." He sneered, his eyes glowing with malevolent power. "You and your 'team' are already dead in my eyes. But I'll let you see for yourself, so you know the futility of your resistance."
Adonis stepped forward, his wings unfurled, glaring at Leo. "You might have ascended, Leo, but you still talk too much for someone who is already dead in our eyes." His tone was laced with venom. "We're not afraid of whatever new power you've found. I'm still the Multi-Winged Devil Skeleton King, and I'll tear you apart like I did before."
Amelios chuckled darkly, stepping to Adonis's side. "You've got a lot of nerve, coming at us like that, Leo. But we're not impressed. You think you've transcended? We've seen your kind before. The only thing different is you're hiding behind a shiny new title." He sized Leo up with a knowing smirk. "Let's see if this 'transcendent' power of yours is worth anything when you're facing real strength."
Chenoo who was towering with his icy presence also growled while staring at leo the temperature around him dropping.
Jay's summons stood firm, their anger and resolve fueling their courage. Despite the daunting challenge before them, they weren't backing down. But Evans only laughed, the sound cold and unfeeling.
"You're all so sure of yourselves. How quaint. But nothing you say or do will matter once I unleash the full extent of my new powers. This world isn't big enough for the both of us, Jay. You'll see. It's inevitable."
Jay's gaze hardened. "The world might not be big enough for us both. But there's one thing you've forgotten, Evans. I don't plan on losing again. And neither do my summons."
Seraphina, her wings fluttering slightly, spoke with calm authority. "You may have ascended, but we've fought and won against powers far greater than yours. Don't mistake your newfound arrogance for invincibility. The true test of strength comes when you face your limits. And trust me, you haven't reached them yet."
The room pulsed with the weight of impending conflict. Leo chuckled darkly, his confidence unwavering.
"The true test of strength? You think you have the luxury of time, Fallen Angel ? You won't even last long enough to face your limits. You'll die before you even realize what hit you.
"Jay met Leo's gaze with a steely resolve. "Then let's get started. I'm done with your empty words. Time to show you what happens when you push us too far."
The control room trembled as the two sides prepared for the inevitable battle. Jay and his team stood united, fueled by their losses and the burning need for revenge. Evans and Leo, on the other hand, were unshaken, their confidence only growing.
The clash between transcendents and those who had defied death was about to begin. And Jay was determined that this time, there would be no retreat, no turning back.
Evans's smile remained unshaken as he stepped forward, his golden hair shimmering in the dim light of the control room. He waved a hand dismissively, the air thick with the weight of his words.
"Before we get into anything too... personal," Evans said, his voice cold but controlled, "why don't we let our minions have their fun? Let's see whose soldiers are truly worth anything. My wolves are eager to tear through your undead, and I'm sure your legion of skeletons and zombies is just waiting for the chance to fight. What do you say, Jay? Shall we let our minions decide the first round?"
Jay's eyes narrowed, a sneer curling on his lips. "You think your wolves can take on my undead legions? How amusing. You'll quickly find out that they're more than just cannon fodder. They're my army, not pets."
Adonis chuckled darkly, stepping forward with a raised eyebrow. "You've got some nerve, Evans. Wolves against my undead? You're about to witness the true strength of the Lich Monarch's creations. They may not have your... 'fancy' bloodline, but they've got numbers, strategy, and raw power. If anyone's going to get torn apart, it'll be your wolves."
Amelios grinned, his eyes flashing with malice. "We're not here to play games. The only thing your wolves will get is a one-way ticket to the grave. The sooner we get this over with, the sooner we can bury your ego along with your precious pack."
Seraphina, her six wings unfurled, stepped in front of the group, her expression serene but resolute. "Let them fight if they wish. But know this, Evans—my undead will not be defeated so easily. Every bone, every soul, every fragment of power I command will make your wolves regret their existence."
Leo's cold laugh echoed through the room. "You talk too much. Just let them fight. You can't hide behind words forever. Your undead won't stand a chance against the might of the wolves. Let's see if you can back up all that bravado with some real strength."
Jay didn't take his eyes off Evans, but he was calculating. He could see the arrogance in Evans's posture, the way he believed his wolves would overwhelm Jay's forces. But Jay knew better. He had already lost too many of his own undead to traps, and he was determined not to let his army fall again.
"We'll see about that," Jay muttered under his breath, then raised his hand, signaling for his undead legion to prepare. "Summon the strongest of my undead, then. If it's your wolves you want to face, I'll give them a fight they'll never forget."
With a flick of his wrist, Jay's Skeleton Legion began to advance, the sound of clanking bones filling the air. The zombie group followed, with the skeletal mages trailing behind, their eyes glowing with dark magic. As Jay's undead army took position, he turned to Adonis and Amelios.
"Stay close," he ordered. "Adonis, you and Chenoo handle the biggest threats. Seraphina, keep an eye on Leo. I'll lead the charge."
Adonis spread his wings wide, his eyes focused on the massive wolves ahead. "Let's make sure they don't get too cocky. These wolves may be strong, but they're not immortal. We'll show them the true might of the undead."
Amelios grinned, his hand resting on the hilt of his weapon. "Let's give them a show they won't forget."
Evans looked satisfied with the turn of events. "Let's see how long your undead last. If they can't even handle my wolves, then you'll have no chance against me." He gestured, and the 3,000 wolves shifted, growling and snarling in anticipation, as two of the Master-ranked wolves—the Saint Wolf and the Purple Spark Lightning Wolf—stepped forward, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent.
"Prepare yourselves," Evans said, his tone dark and final. "The hunt begins now."
Jay's summons braced themselves, the tension thick in the air. The control room became a battlefield as both sides prepared to unleash their forces. It was clear this was just the first step—the real battle was only about to begin.
