By lunchtime, Erik had completely embraced his powers. Students had gathered around, buzzing with curiosity, while he sat on top of a floating desk, casually munching on a sandwich. The cafeteria was alive with his new magic—food trays were levitating, drinks were flying through the air, and chairs were walking around like little robots.
Lili sat across from him, arms crossed, a skeptical look on her face. Next to her, Carter and Sasha joined the table. Hugo, a quiet kid who rarely spoke, glanced at Erik nervously. And there was Zara, Sasha's twin sister, already taking videos on her phone. "This is going viral for sure," Zara grinned.
"Okay, Erik, explain," Lili demanded. "What exactly is happening? How are you doing all this?"
Erik shrugged. "I told you. I died, but then I came back. And now I'm basically a god."
Carter raised an eyebrow. "Like, a literal god?"
Lili rolled her eyes. "He sounds insane."
Erik smirked, flicking his finger. Her soda can jumped out of her hand and started doing backflips in mid-air. "Does that seem insane?"
Sasha, always the practical one, looked concerned. "Erik, this isn't safe. You could hurt someone."
"Nah, it's all in good fun!" Erik laughed, waving his hand to cause the cafeteria's fire alarms to go off. But instead of water, it was confetti pouring from the ceiling. The room erupted into chaos as students danced under the colorful paper rain.
"School's out, people! Let's have some fun!" Erik shouted, standing on his floating desk.
