"So, umm, is it okay for Nami to wander off like that?" Usopp asked as they walked up some stairs made of clouds. Pagaya explained the various types of clouds and technology unique to Skypiea. Nami had borrowed a waver from Conis' father and set off on her own little adventure, exploring the sea.
"Here we are, please, this way," Pagaya said as they reached his home. As soon as they entered, they got to experience firsthand what those dials were capable of.
"Question. Does that mean that the so-called sky warfare involves these dials?" Lucas asked, intrigued. "They seem like they'd be quite useful in combat."
"Indeed, now that you mention it, weaponizing dials seems possible. They could be used to create traps and other things," Robin remarked. Conis kept quiet for a bit.
"Yes, they are indeed involved in sky warfare," she finally replied. Lucas changed the subject, noticing her discomfort with the topic of warfare. They soon sat down to eat after food was prepared.
"Nami sure is enjoying herself, huh," Usopp remarked.
"I can't see her through the window. She didn't get lost, did she?" Sanji asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
"I'm sure she'll be fine," Luffy replied confidently.
"Father! Will she be alright?" Conis asked, suddenly remembering something. She looked at her father with concern.
"Now that you mention it, dear, I'm getting worried too. Maybe we should have warned her about that place," he said.
"What place?" Luffy asked, his mouth stuffed with food.
"In Skypiea, we have a place where no one should enter. That place is close to our island. She might reach it easily using the waver. It is our holy land where t..." Conis began, but was interrupted by Usopp.
"Umm, guys, we lost another Straw Hat," Usopp said, pointing. They could see Lucas running far into the distance before vanishing from sight. Conis finished explaining, and upon hearing it, Luffy became excited to go.
"Hey! You there, please help me get out of here!" a person cried, leaning on the edge of a small cliff. Nami had found herself near an island made of earth, unlike the endless clouds surrounding the place.
"!!!" Nami stood shocked, seeing the person calling out to her. As she stood there indecisive, a large beam struck down at that person. When the beam vanished, the person was gone. Nami quickly hid, hearing people approaching. Her heart beat wildly, and she sweat buckets, regretting her choices that led her here.
"Just what is going on here?" she wondered while hiding. The people began talking about taking care of illegal trespassers, and Nami knew they meant her and the others. As she recalled Lucas's words, she saw something coming towards her really fast, waving at her. It was probably Lucas. She tried to signal him to keep quiet, but her efforts were futile.
"There she is, and those guys too," Lucas said, transformed into XLR8 and using the omni-armor to track Nami down. As he came closer, the people got alarmed.
"Intruder! What is that?" they said.
"It doesn't matter. They won't..." the lance-carrying priest began, but in an instant, Lucas closed the gap and kicked him in the face. He transformed into a fusion of Rath and Kickin' Hawk, kicking the priest's face so hard his nose broke, and he was flung back, crashing into the trees.
"You guys are those ordeal whatever's, right? Servants of Eneru?" Lucas asked.
"You! How dare you..." the fat one began, but Lucas transformed into Four Arms, punching him into the sky. He then jumped, flipped forward, turned into Cannonbolt, and attacked the remaining two guys.
"Come on, let's go," he said, landing on Nami's waver. Nami nagged him first, then explained that they were targeting them. After her explanation, Lucas teleported them back to where the Straw Hats were, at the beach again. They arrived to find the others fighting some weird soldier guys.
"What happened here?" Lucas asked.
"Nami!" Sanji ignored Lucas, running to Nami's side.
"Lucas, you're back, and with Nami," Luffy said.
"Where did you go suddenly, anyway, and how did you find Nami?" Zoro asked.
"I just went to look for her, and I did, at that place Conis talked about," Lucas replied. "There were some weird weaklings there, too, talking about how they're going to take care of us and something about this Eneru guy."
"Whaaa! You mean..." Usopp began, but Lucas cut him off.
"But don't worry about it. I made sure to give 'em a good beating," Lucas said with a smile.
"We're screwed," Usopp said, turning pale.
"Hmm, what's the big deal?" Lucas asked, genuinely puzzled.
"Are you seriously asking that when Conis explained to you clearly how dangerous that place is? And yet you went there anyway and even beat up the people there?" Usopp yelled.
"It's not a big deal. They were already going to come after us, weren't they?" Lucas replied calmly.
"So how was it?" Luffy asked, a gleam of excitement in his eyes. Nami and Lucas had managed to go to the forbidden place and come back, and he was now even more stoked about going there.
"So that's it, huh? You even managed to provoke Eneru's priests. There's no saving you. You are officially deemed class-2 criminals now. You are enemies of Skypiea," one of the soldier guys said as they ran away cowardly.
"Oh no! Then I'm afraid we can't help you any longer," Conis' father said, suddenly distancing himself from the Straw Hats.
"Although I get why you'd distance yourself from us, those guys probably will report you in, won't they?" Lucas remarked.
"Anyway, if this is the case, I think we should stock up and get out of here," he suggested.
"No way! We have to go to that forbidden island first!" Luffy rejected the idea.
"Weren't you listening?" Usopp and Nami yelled at him in unison. "If we go there, then..." They went on and on.
Robin, on the other hand, asked about a way off the clouds, and Sanji was more interested in items and recipes for cooking. "Well, there is a place called Cloud End," Conis said.
"Wait, isn't that just the end of the clouds?" Lucas transformed into Ampfibian, which spooked Zoro, who was standing next to him. The sudden transformation caught his attention.
"How do you even know about it?" Zoro asked. This immediately brought Nami's attention to Lucas, as she suspected he knew everything about Skypiea and was keeping it a secret.
"In this form, I can sense the electrical pulses within people's brains and, well, read their minds," Lucas replied.
"So that's it, huh?" Nami said, still with a suspicious gaze.
"Wait, you can read people's minds?" Usopp asked with a hint of panic.
"Yes, yes, yes, and yes," Lucas replied, even though Usopp hadn't asked anything specific. He pondered a series of questions, and Lucas happily answered them immediately. Usopp panicked, muttering, "He can't hear me," as he tried to keep his secrets.
"What a scary ability," Robin said. Everyone felt uncomfortable knowing this, except for a few—namely Luffy, Zoro, and Chopper.
"Anyway, that's how I knew," Lucas said, reverting to his normal form.
