Chapter 84: Gathering of Allies
The sun hung low in the sky, casting an orange hue across the grounds of Eternity Academy. As Yun-ho, Nova, and Ethan regrouped after their encounter with the wraith, they realized the severity of their situation. They needed allies, and they needed them fast.
"Where do we start?" Ethan asked, his brows furrowed in concentration. "The wraith said we were unprepared. We can't take on whatever's coming alone."
Yun-ho nodded, determination set in his eyes. "We need to gather our fellow contractors and upperclassmen. If we're going to face this Eclipse, we need everyone we can get."
Nova smiled at Yun-ho's resolve. "I can reach out to some of the upperclassmen in the Magic Research Club. They might have insights or resources we can use."
"Good idea," Yun-ho said. "I'll talk to some of the other contractors. We can't underestimate the power of collaboration."
The trio quickly decided to split up, each taking on their respective tasks. As they moved through the bustling halls of the academy, a sense of urgency filled the air. Students bustled about, unaware of the shadows looming over their future.
Yun-ho headed toward the training grounds, where many contractors often gathered to practice. As he walked, memories of his training in the Azure Peak Sect flooded his mind. Those lessons had prepared him for this moment, and he wouldn't waste the opportunity to strengthen their ranks.
Upon reaching the grounds, he found a group of contractors engaged in a sparring match. Among them was Kael, a formidable warrior known for his prowess and strategic mind.
"Kael!" Yun-ho called out, waving his hand. "I need your help!"
Kael paused mid-spar, his brow raising in curiosity. "Yun-ho! What's going on?"
"We're facing a serious threat. The wraith warned us about the Eclipse, and we need to gather allies to stand a chance."
Kael's expression shifted from curiosity to concern. "The Eclipse? That's not good. We've all felt a shift in the energy around the academy. I'll rally the other contractors. We'll need everyone on board."
Yun-ho felt a rush of relief at Kael's response. "Thanks, Kael. I'll gather as many as I can."
Meanwhile, Nova made her way to the Magic Research Club's common room. As she entered, the room was filled with upperclassmen, poring over ancient texts and scrolls, the scent of parchment hanging heavily in the air.
"Hey, everyone!" Nova called out, drawing their attention. "I have something important to discuss."
The chatter quieted down, and all eyes turned to her. "What's going on, Nova?" asked Lira, the club president, her expression curious.
"We're facing a new threat—something called the Eclipse. We need your help to gather more information and possibly research spells or artifacts that could help us."
A murmur of concern spread through the room, and Lira nodded, her demeanor serious. "We'll do whatever it takes. I'll call a meeting to discuss our options. This sounds dire."
As they exchanged plans, Nova felt a sense of camaraderie building. The bonds of friendship and loyalty were forming anew, stronger than before.
With their tasks underway, Yun-ho, Nova, and Ethan were united in purpose, each calling upon their friends and allies. The winds of fate had begun to shift, and as the sun dipped below the horizon, shadows lengthened—a reminder of the trials yet to come.
