Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: The Ultimate Showdown Begins

Author's Note:

Hey, hey! First off, a huge shoutout to Everworld12, 23DY, FIENDCELESTIAL & Lord_Cynrik for the review and Primas for that epic comment! I mean, wow – potential, mastery, omnipotence?! Goku better be ready to take notes! 😂

Primas, you've basically laid out the blueprint for Goku's ultimate "level-up" journey. From controlling his ki to maybe messing with his own luck, to him becoming, oh, just a little omnipotent being on the side... No pressure, right?

Now, I did get inspired, so hold tight. Goku's got about 4 or 5 wishes coming up, and let's just say... they won't all be for crazy cosmic powers (gotta keep it interesting, after all)!

-------------------

Goku stood in the center of the ring, catching his breath and wiping the sweat from his brow. The match against King Chappa had pushed him hard, but Goku had one last trick up his sleeve to get back into fighting shape. Concentrating, he summoned his ki and, with a flash of blue energy, his tattered clothes mended themselves, stitching up like magic. The crowd gasped, some cheering and others watching in awe.

"Wow, Goku! New clothes trick, huh?" Krillin shouted from the sidelines, thoroughly impressed.

Goku grinned and held up a peace sign. "Yep! Learned it from Mr. Popo's training!"

But as he looked around, he noticed that the crowd's attention was shifting. The announcer was holding the mic with an unusually dramatic flair, his voice echoing across the stadium.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, we've saved the best for last!" the announcer exclaimed, pointing at Goku. "We have a special announcement! Goku, are you ready for the next challenge?"

Goku blinked, scratching his head. "Uh, sure! Who am I fighting?"

The announcer's eyes sparkled with excitement as he gestured toward the entrance. "Well, Goku, how do you feel about taking on... the strongest man in the world?!"

Goku's eyes widened as he saw none other than Grandpa Gohan, standing at the entrance with a calm, almost serene expression. His signature robe and hat gave him a regal look, and yet he looked humble, even as the crowd erupted into cheers.

"Grandpa Gohan?! You're my next opponent?!" Goku shouted, his voice tinged with surprise and excitement.

Gohan chuckled softly, stepping into the ring and waving to the crowd. "It looks like it, Goku. Are you ready?"

The crowd went wild as the announcer took over again. "Yes, folks, you heard it right! Goku, the young prodigy, will face off against none other than the strongest person in the world—his very own grandfather, Gohan!"

Bulma, watching from the stands, gasped. "Wait, Grandpa Gohan is the strongest man in the world?! Why didn't you tell us, Goku?!"

Goku laughed, scratching the back of his head. "Uh, I didn't know either! He doesn't look that strong when he's cooking rice or telling bedtime stories!"

"Looks can be deceiving," Krillin muttered, his jaw practically on the floor.

Goku watched his grandpa remove the top layer of his robes, revealing a surprisingly fit physique for someone his age. "Alright, Grandpa, but I know what you're hiding! I can sense your power"

(A/N: For Reader to understand Gohan Power level—1500!)

Gohan raised an eyebrow, amused. "Oh? And how strong are you, Goku?"

Goku chuckled, trying to sound modest but clearly thrilled. "Well, with my training, I've gotten pretty strong too! But I guess we'll have to see."

Gohan smiled warmly, giving Goku a nod. "Then let's put our training to the test, Goku. But first, take a few minutes to rest."

Goku nodded, taking a deep breath to calm himself and gather his focus. He knew that even with his boosted power, this was going to be a serious challenge. The mental strain from his previous matches was wearing on him, so he used the time to close his eyes and center his energy, healing his body and restoring his ki.

Meanwhile, Krillin, Yamcha, and Bulma were busy buzzing about what could possibly happen next.

"Do you think Goku can actually beat him?" Krillin asked, scratching his head. "I mean, Goku's strong, but with this power?!"

Yamcha crossed his arms, smirking. "Eh, knowing Goku, he'll probably make it look like a breeze!"

Bulma huffed, rolling her eyes. "I just hope he doesn't get too confident. Grandpa Gohan's not just strong—he's wise. He's seen way more fights than Goku has."

The announcer, feeling the excitement build, stepped forward to hype up the crowd even more. "Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you've been waiting for! Goku, the fearless young warrior, faces off against his own grandpa, Gohan, the legendary martial artist! It's a showdown for the ages!"

Finally, with Goku ready and Gohan calm and collected, the two faced each other at the center of the ring. Gohan took his fighting stance, a look of steady resolve in his eyes.

Goku mirrored his stance, beaming with excitement. "Alright, Grandpa, let's do this!"

But before the announcer could give the signal to start, Gohan raised a hand to stop him, then leaned down, whispering to Goku, "Remember, Goku—don't underestimate your opponent, no matter how familiar they may seem."

Goku's grin widened. "Got it, Grandpa. Let's see what you've got!"
